GoogleI recently acted as executor for my late cousin and Robert Cooney were first class right from carrying out the valuation for probate to the completion of the subsequent sale. They gave a sensible valuation, backed up by excellent marketing and brilliant communication. I would not hesitate to thoroughly recommend their service.

Absolute Scam artists. Ridiculous deductions from deposit (£250 for an oven that needed cleaning and a shower screen that was dirty). Neighbours said cleaners never attended, refused to provide an invoice for cleaning. Useless communication. Agent I dealt with made return of deposit as diffcult as possible (taken 2.5 months) and pulled stunts like ignoring my email for a week, emailing a reply at 5:20 on a Friday and when I responded immediately, got an "out of office for a week" auto-response. Scum.

GoogleWe are currently actively viewing properties to buy. Unfortunately we had a really bad experience with Robert Cooney today. The first sales agent we spoke to was really rude and had a terrible attitude over the phone. She also lacked knowledge of the local area. When we spoke to the agent for the particular property we wished to view, he was really unhelpful and was more interested in the details of our property! He seemed very reluctant to want to arrange the viewing of the property in person (I appreciate we are in a pandemic but we have seen other properties in person with other estate agents and had absolutely no problems!) Then despite saying they would email us a virtual viewing, we are yet to receive this 8 hours later after calling! I feel sorry for the vendor as we are really keen on their beautiful property but at least now we understand why it hasn’t sold! It won’t with this teams lack of enthusiasm and professionalism.

GoogleWe have just sold our home in Taunton through Robert Cooneys’s and cannot praise them enough. We have sold nearly 30 properties over the years (!) and can honestly say that this has been one of the easiest in terms of the support and service provided. Every single member of staff has been totally professional, always helpful and has communicated at every stage in a timely manner. A particular shout out for Sarah Hallsworth, our main point of contact. She was amazing and ensured that everything stayed on track! Thanks to the whole team!

Honestly, the worst company you could work for or use as a client. I have not experienced everything quite like it. I had witnessed, heard and been made to tell so many lies to paying customers. Money is all they care about, not ones health. Not a good company.

We completed on our house on Friday and We used connells as our Agent, their customer service is awful. No viewing feedback, I had to ring them each time to ask, most times just being told we can’t get hold of them. On one viewing I happened to be in the house and the agent let it slip that the week before the woman who was supposed to view our house didn’t actually view it and there was confusion and it wasn’t our house she wanted to view, instead of telling us this, they made up feedback and said one of the bedrooms was too small! They had a key for us in their office so they could let themselves in to do viewing yet one time we got called back to let them in as they didn’t know they had a key! After we had agreed an offer that was the last we pretty much heard from them. I would chase and chase on emails for updates just to get a snotty email back from Adam who’s the sales branch manager. Absolutely no communication pretty much from start to finish!

I mistaken he put these people on the list For selling my house without checking reviews here! They phoned up and made an appointment But when I said I’m obviously speaking to a number of agents and I’m Ruling out, could you tell me your fees she said,” Oh, we don’t have set fees It depends on your future intentions how much we charge you” I said, I didn’t think that was quite right, but I would discuss it when they came to value. A couple of hours later someone else from the office rang Apparently, an error, but it turned out the first woman hadn’t bothered to make an appointment because I I didn’t want to pay more than others.

I booked a viewing on a flat, I received confirmation via text and email. Come the day of viewing, I rang the office before leaving and I was told "it's all confirmed, thank you for ringing" now after leaving early from work, burning considerable amount of fuel and driving for an hour, I get an automated text message saying it's been cancelled. Rang the office 6 times and finally got through and the sales woman "Amber" makes up a story she rang me twice and couldn't get through to me, also couldn't email or text which is an utter lie. Absolutely nasty staff with no care or consideration of genuine and serious buyers and investors time. Example of a totally nasty estate agency. I would not recommend anyone lying Amber or the company she represents.

So I placed my house on the market with another agent- get a knock on the door from Amanda from Leicester branch saying she has a few people who are interested in the property and only this property signed up with them multi boarding and got literally 5 people through the door who I had to show around myself and not had a clue about the house and wasted my time. Left with them and sold with my original agent - AVOID time wasters!!!

GoogleWe bought and sold properties through Robert Cooney and they were outstanding for both. They arranged a good amount of viewings despite our property having previously been on the market with a different agent, and secured a sale within a very reasonable amount of time. We had no hesitation to purchase through Robert Cooney also and did several viewings with the team who were highly reliable, honest and friendly. Our sale was complicated by having an overseas buyer during a period of Brexit uncertainty - without the excellent progression services provided by Robert Cooney it is highly unlikely that the transactions would have proceeded. Highly recommended.

We used them via Persimmons home exchange. The initial valuation and communication with them was great as they want to get your custom. They were meant to phone us/ email about our house listing so we could proof read it before it was put on the market. They listed our house as leasehold and made up information about this lease.. The property is freehold.. 🙄 we contacted them about this and they said it takes a week to amend it on the website. 2 weeks later it is still currently listed wrong.Anyway, this probably lost us quite a few potential buyers but luckily we also had our house listed with a local estate agent who marketed our house correctly and we sold within a week with them!

I was a prospective tenant for one of the properties listed with them. They cancelled a viewing 2 hrs before the appointment saying the house was having 'some work done'. We rebooked the viewing for 2 days later and I called on the day of the viewing to confirm some details about the property. It was only then that I was informed that the property was not available. They had not bothered to contact me to cancel the viewing (was meant to happen in less than 2 hours). They did not apologise and were actually quite rude. I don't trust them at all and wouldn't be surprised if the information I was given was untrue. I would not recommend them!
