GoogleA couple of months ago, we purchased a property through GTH. They provided a fantastic service and we'll definitely be using them again in future. Their communications were clear, they were easy to reach over the phone and they actively supported us throughout the whole process. Special mention must go to William Cosgrove (Bill), without whom I'm sure the sale would have taken much longer. Bill was brilliant, providing daily updates and facilitating arrangements between ourselves, the seller and the solicitors as needed. It was a pleasure to collect the keys from Bill at completion after all his help. When we come to work with GTH again, we'll be asking for Bill. We're also grateful to Ben, who got us off to a flying start by arranging our viewing at short notice and keeping us in the loop at the beginning of the sale.
Overall, a fantastic, efficient and personal service from the GTH Taunton team!

We approached GTH to sell our house after a previously unsuccessful attempt. The local manager Ollie provided a very sensible valuation. Upon listing, the viewings were carried out professionally manner, eventually securing a buyer in what has been a challenging market. We became part of a chain of 13 houses and 14 vendors, ( a company record) a potential nightmare. However careful management of the chain by Ollie and another agent resulted in completion 4months after we found the buyer. I am certain that this was in no doubt part due to the strenuous efforts of GTH staff. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

GoogleThe lady I met at the property, failed to engage in what I was interested in, told me what she thought, of no help whatsoever. The young negotiator I spoke to having been hounded for feeding back, was aggressive, unprofessional & I asked not to speak with him again. An older gentleman who works on property progression or some such title, has been helpful, chatty, generally to the point & is good at what he does. If every company put more time into training & less time into reading reviews, the work rate would double, with better results!!

GoogleWe’ve had the most terrible experience whilst renting with GTH. From finding the place to checking out, it really was the worst. Richard, who is their head of maintenance is the rudest man I’ve ever had to encounter. There is nothing worse than having a man condescendingly shouting at you while you have Covid and trying to solve an issue. Their maintenance department as a whole we found to be severely incompetent, taking months to solve the simplest issue.
We had issues when checking out as well. They confirmed via email that we left the place spotless but they are still going to charge us xxx amount because they wanted to have the carpets professionally cleaned. When I mentioned we will dispute this via TDS, we got our full deposit back.
Do not rent with GTH. They treat their tenants really poorly and we found them to be unprofessional and their team poorly trained.

We were disappointed to read your review and have looked into the circumstances with our colleagues in Maintenance and Lettings. Our records show some jobs that were raised with maintenance as well as our lettings department. The issue with the deposit in relation to carpet cleaning was reviewed by our lettings team, who agreed it was wear and tear and therefore returned your full deposit.
Please note that Richard is not the head of the maintenance department. If you felt that something needed to be escalated, that could have been passed to Fiona Lodge to resolve, as head of the maintenance team. Some issues were dealt with separately by lettings, so Richard did not have full oversight of your tenancy and we will state that Richard has never shouted or raised his voice to any of our tenants.
We did note in our maintenance records that there have been several jobs raised in the last year which were resolved quickly and one which was delayed due to circumstances outside of our control, including our landlord’s instructions and contractors diaries. Gas safety and boiler servicing were also carried out as per legal requirements.
We do feel this rather harsh review is unjustified given the full return of your deposit and records showing that all jobs raised were indeed dealt with satisfactorily. ~ GTH
