White and Sons took over as Managing Agents here in 2014. This is a mixed estate of freehold and leasehold properties. After approaching several Companies it was decided to proceed with White and Sons. Within about three months White and Sons had sorted out much of the previous disorder which was far quicker than we had expected. A couple of major issues which had been ongoing for several years were completed within the first year. Service charge arrears were quickly brought down to an acceptable level. The staff at White and Sons have always been helpful, courteous, friendly and efficient and have gone out their way to make sure issues get sorted as quickly as possible. We have no hesitation in recommending them.

Their team is organised in such a way that most of our work is handled by one main contact who is supported by an administrative team. We purchased our house in 2010 with White & Sons in Dorking so when we decided to sell in 2019, it felt only right to give the property back to them and we weren't disappointed with the sales valuation we received from Tom. Our property went under offer on July 18th 2019 but unfortunately in October of that year our buyers buyer pulled out. We took the decision to wait for them to secure another buyer but with Christmas & then lockdown we finally completed on August 7th to begin our new life in Ireland. Throughout the whole process White & Sons team were very professional. We were initially dealing with Philip but he was replaced with Maddy who was always very friendly, helpful and kept us updated along the way. It was a pleasure doing business with them. Well done White & Sons, keep up the good work and all the best for 2021.

Absolutely shocking service. Reading through a lot of these reviews I’m not the only unhappy customer. They were helpful right up until they got us an offer. Then we may aswell have not existed. Every interest was with our buyer and not once was our needs put into consideration. We have a very young child and we were asked to break the chain meaning we could risk being left homeless if we didn’t exchange by the end of November otherwise the buyers would pull out (bear in mind we only accepted an offer at the start of September and we were asked this at the start of November). We then reluctantly agreed. We agreed to exchange with a completion date at the start of jan. after us agreeing to break the chain they then insisted on ringing on a near daily basis to find out when we our new property is ready to move in to but after getting us to break the chain I feel it is now none of their business. Fortunately our new property was ready so we then agreed to move the completion date to the 6th of December. We then had our buyers turn up at our house completely unannounced asking us what was going on with the move as white and sons were not keeping in contact with them. We were then emailed again by white and sons to move the completion date forward again which at this point was becoming a joke. We’ve now exchanged on our property but did not receive a courtesy call or email to either let us know or congratulate us on exchanging. Quite frankly I don’t actually know what we’re paying them for. And a letter of complaint will be going to white and sons. I strongly recommend you don’t use white and sons. I wish I had listened to a friend of mine who is an estate agent who warned me against them. Please don’t make the same mistake I did.
