We chose Burchill Edwards because they came across as having the best overall package. We are certainly pleased we did. The package and marketing was great, which resulted in a very quick sale. I would also say the support from them was excellent. John was always on the end of the phone. If he was unable to sort the problem out himself, he was also able to pass it on to the right person - and ensured it was actioned quickly. I must also mention the rest of the team at the Tamworth Branch are also excellent!

AVOID. Never dealt with more awkward estate agents despite working with several throughout the past year. John made our purchase an unpleasant ordeal. He tried insisting we meet in person with their associated mortgage advisor despite us having our own already and he tried to push us to increase our offer before he presented it to the seller (after we refused to increase it he passed the offer on and it was accepted). The biggest problem was that he would not let us speak during phone calls as he pushed his own agenda and we finally had to request someone else to speak to as he made us incredibly uncomfortable and frustrated. My partner debated withdrawing our offer purely because of John. Im not sure if he gets comission for referring clients to their own solicitors/mortgage advisor but his attitude was appaling! Will and Vanessa were far more reasonable and helpful. Its a shame their "top negotiator" is so pushy!

I did start to sell my flat with them but found better agents. over 2 months later my property gets shown on their site for sale on 25/12/25 to 2/1/26. Burchell Edwards are not my agents who are selling my flat nor professiol too in their dealings. this is vintictive attack to mess up my sale. dont trust them.

The good the bad and the ugly is the best way to describe this company. I am going to try and write as accurate, but brief, a review as I can, so that you can make your own informed decision as to whether to use Burchell Edwards of Tamworth. Valuation, pictures and listing; Overall, very good. They came in, valued the house at a price we were happy with, took good photos and the floorplan and description was accurate. Viewings; Again, very good. We had a steady flow of people coming to view the property and the feedback always followed so no complaints from me. After sale/ Completions; This is where Burchell Edwards heavily let themselves, and myself down. Once the sale was made, 9 weeks passed without chain completion and during this time no pressure was placed upon my purchaser to start to get the ball rolling. This meant that once chain was complete, it meant that my purchaser was holding the 6 house chain up, right until the last moment - despite us having a 9 week head start. The problem, is that even if they ARE doing things in the background they won't update the client (me) accordingly so I am totally left in the dark and I have to therefore assume they are doing nothing. Imagine a situation where the client has to constantly chase for updates - very frustrating. I actually gave up dealing with the completions team, and left it to my wife to call them, cause I had lost my tether with the situation and customer service. Despite taking this to the manager of the store, I was never offered an apology. The manager of the branch didn't apologise. The team member in question never apologised. The team manager, never apologised. They didn't even follow up my complaint with so much as an email acknowledging I was unhappy. We had to continue to push and chase right up until completion day and beyond that. On a side note, Adam, wasn't so bad so props to Adam. In comparison, Ann at Greens was a breath of fresh air and she went above and beyond to help our sale go through. So my honest advise is to call Greens first if you want to sell your home. I decided to give this, and the team a 2 star review due to their lack of interest in my complaints. A little goes a long way, and a formal apology from the team would have seen this review between 3/4 stars. Saying you are sorry, and admitting fault goes a long way to mending a broken customer relationship. Thanks for reading.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism, Value

Very mixed feelings about Burchell Edwards Tamworth. We Were buying a property from them. It started of easy and simple but once you put an offer on a property they really try bully you into using their services such as their Solicitors and Financial advisors, saying things like "the current owners of the property would prefer us to use their services" or "we feel you will be at a strong disadvantage compared to others who do use our services" All of which was not true at all.. They do this so much that you almost want to cancel the offer just so they leave you alone. However once our property was accepted we had a very Helpful Lady called Vanessa who couldn't do enough for us. she chased for updates and called us often just so we didn't feel isolated. Vanessa was fantastic but sadly she was the only person who seemed to actually care about the customer

Tie you in to a 6 month contract, and will not let you out of said contract earlier. They also require two weeks notice to take your house off the market….. they have been absolutely the most horrendous estate agents on this planet. They have done zero to help us in the sale of our house. Shame on you! Excuse after excuse as to why our house is not selling, but no advice on how we can improve viewings etc. we even dropped the asking price by 30000 ! Update: after complying with their 2 week notice policy to remove our house for sale, we finally (after a heated conversation on day 17 to get our house taken off all 3rd party sites) had our house taken off sale on day 18. Does it really take 18 days to press a button !!! If you’re thinking of selling your house….. trust me do not let this company any where near it. If I could give a minus star score I would.
