TrustpilotAbsolutely awful management
Absolutely awful management. You can expect nothing to be done. They mainly take your money and leave you to deal with the rest. Even the accounts department needs help with how much money is owed and how much they should take. Be careful. You will be going in circles. There will not be one point of contact you will be dealing with but multiple and all saying different things. It was a complete stressful nightmare. Never again. They didn’t even fix issues for the tenant. I would not recommend Mann to anyone you would be better off dealing with the flat yourself as potentially that’s what you will end up doing only difference would be you will have much more stress to deal with.

TrustpilotTerrible management from The Chatham…
Terrible management from The Chatham branch of Mann Countrywide lettings. Could not get any response from them for over a year of moving into the property and eventually had to write to the landlord directly. Luckily we have a great landlord and he also agreed the management from this company was awful. Unsure as to why they are charging the landlord a management fee when they do not manage the property at all and are taking the money from the landlord to basically receive rent from us each month. Terrible customer service and have again been waiting almost 2 weeks for a call back regarding maintenance issues reported. As a property manager myself I understand the job fully and there is no excuse for this terrible service. Would not recommend this company to any landlords/tenants.

TrustpilotUseless , abusive , giving out personal details without permission
I raised a complaint with there property manager Susan. Provided everything they requested with the complaint and she come back with an abusive email to myself. Better yet we approached the tenants the morning for a THIRD TIME regarding the issue and they refused to speak to us as they had been forwarded on my email from Susan when I made the complaint. That email had my phone number and my email address on it which I never gave permission for them to hand out. Let’s hope when connells fully take control and combine the companies they get rid of staff members like this.

TrustpilotAbsolutely shocking 0/10 stay away
Absolutely shocking. Moved into a property during covid which was a rental. Wasn't able to view prior and told that all was newly decorated in line with video and photos provided. Turned up to what I can only describe as a squat. Hadn't been cleaned, marks on all the walls, wasn't the same as the pictures or video. We were not happy moving in as we had been misled and they tried to charge us 800 pound to re advertise (using the same misleading adverts) and changed their mind when we threatened to share the actual photos of the property. Still owe us £184. Would rather sleep rough than pay these low lives money

TrustpilotDo not ask your property for letting in…
Do not ask your property for letting in Woolwich arsenal branch. I choose this company the reason why my property is very near by. However this company's especially, Local branch's service is not unacceptable. I feel like most of Woolwich staffs are arrogant, irresponsible, unpleasant. This company is quite big and has multiple departments looking after task so that's why I tired to contact every department , I had to contact numerous times.moreover, The person in charge changed several time without any taken over, so I had to explain whenever the staff changed.I has got lots of frustration to contact them, when I emailed or called, they response few days later or nothing. Now I ended up with this company, finally!! Anyway, I put on a STAR but if there are minus star, I would put more than I could do.Do not consider Mann countrywide Woolwich Arsenal branch.

TrustpilotInformation for sellers in Ashford
Although my property was sold quickly at what I consider was a fair price for the buyer and myself, with hindsight I felt that I was misled by Mann at Ashford during their sales talk to persuade me to use them as my estate agent. Firstly, during the sales talk, I was given a £20,000 price range for the value of the property, but within a week after they were commissioned by me, they advertised it with a price guide at the bottom end of the range, which the property was sold at. Secondly, their fee was a lump sum based on the average value of the price range given to me during their sales talk. I would suggest that you demand a % fee so if they sell the property at a lower price, their fees are reduced accordingly and not based on their exaggerated valuation. Unfortunately I consider that these practices of exaggeration to win commissions are common among estate agents, when I interviewed other estate agents in my selling process.

TrustpilotGreat support from the Ashford office
My last experience with Mann Countrywide in Ashford (Kent) was absolutely stellar. I am serial landlord and live 75 miles away which makes me totally dependent on their help. Last month (September 2020) I bought a flat to add to my portfolio and had a series of problems getting the pay as you go electricity and gas connected - faulty keys and cards and difficulties with SSE. The two Laurens and Etienne worked tirelessly on this visiting the property 6 or 7 times to get this all connected. They have also provided great advice on renovation and market rental values and in the last 2 months found new tenants for 2 of my properties within record time - 3 days for a house and the next day in the case of this flat. Absolutely stellar - and all this during COVID.

TrustpilotAtrocious company
Atrocious. If I could give no stars, I would.Mann Countrywide in woolwich placed a tenant in my property who turned it into a drug growing factory. The tenant’s credit report didnt recognise him at his previous address, yet they happily put him in my property.I have tried to contact them since July 2020 but nobody replies to emails , the details they advertise for their complaints office does not exist, nobody answers the phone at the complaints office 0161 233 8231, and their branch manager, Fawaz de Silva, has not responded to approximately 12 emails to date. Go elsewhere if you have regard for your property. I’m complaining to the property ombudsman.

TrustpilotExcellent
I have joined Mann as a landlord as I had a flat (used to be my home) vacant in Ramsgate. May as well make some money from it rather than leave it empty. Lucy from the Ramsgate office came around to do the valuation band although she was £50 lower than other estate agents I was impressed with her speed for visiting and that she could suggest tradesmen for getting the necessary safety checks and certification. If I had waited for another estate agent I would probably have run out of money. Lucy managed to get the flat tenanted in three weeks and that includes a long wait for the electrician and remedial work on the kitchen lights. Very happy and things are ticking over nicely. Can now get the windows replaced and replace the old wooden front door with a upvc one.My only note of criticism would be the landlord portal. Not essential to have but useful nonetheless. It was working fine, then wasn’t for a couple of weeks but seems to be fine again now. Hopeful it will stay that way. Overall, very happy and would definitely use Mann again.

TrustpilotWe have had a fantastic experience with…
We have had a fantastic experience with Mann, Strood when we sold our property. We worked mostly with Anne (who now works at Rochester and we have “followed” her) as our “go to” person, who promptly set up a sales team for us. We were given realistic advice regarding selling and strategies which worked with our family lifestyle. We sold swiftly, with the property going into a bidding war, of which Anne advised the most suitable candidate to sell too sell too in regards of reliability from their vetting. Even though they were not obliged, they (Mostly Anne) went beyond the call of duty and hurried along our buying of he other property and we moved relatively stress free (well moving house with a newborn baby is stressful!) within 3 months. Fantastic and professional work and experience of which we co to us to use Anne and Rochester branch services to this day.

TrustpilotMann Rochester Branch - Con artist
Con Artist - Anne who works for Mann Rochester Branch Sales team. In the pandemic, Anne sent emails to financially con potential customers (who never agreed to use their service) and emotionally threat potential customers that they are not allowed to sell their properties with any other agents, otherwise a fee to Mann would be involved. A shocking indecent human being! When we reported Ann's con behaviour to Mann's headoffice complaint team, they apologised to us and rectified it. We appreciated to Mann's effective complaint handling about their employees misconduct, hopefully Mann should not tolerate their employees con behaviour and start hiring decent human beings in the future!

TrustpilotDon't use this bunch of cowboys
Don't use this bunch of cowboys. I eventually got my (full) deposit back 5 months after leaving the property, in a better condition than I moved in. They used all manner of lame excuses to avoid paying it back, until I lodged a complaint with Mydeposits. Fingers crossed that the current economic climate wipes out this pond life of a company. If you rent through them then my advice is to get stroppy as soon as possible and use every trick in the book to make them abide by their legal obligations

TrustpilotRead all the reviews and decide for yourself
We sold our house and needed somewhere to rent for six months. We viewed the property and from the moment we paid the deposit we had issues. Shannon from their Swanley office failed to have the property ready to move into on time and cost us an additional £700 pounds moving-in costs. It was still being decorated by their own handyman when we moved in. The house was filthy, the gas oven leaked gas and when the heating failed to work we were made to wait a few days to get it fixed. We moved out over three weeks ago and we still have not got the bond back. The moving in report was poorly done. The moving out report attempted to find us responsible for damage already in the property - we filmed the entire property when we moved in and when we moved out as we knew there would be issues. I am stunned anyone would trust them with their property and from the rest of the reviews it s evident the problem is endemic within Mann Countrywide. If you are considering renting through them - owner or tenant - read all the reviews. Good luck.

TrustpilotReview specific to Ashford
Review specific to Ashford, KENT letting branchThe staff there are inept and one of them openly racist. They laugh at you when you have a problem, they delay everything The only people they are interested in are the landlords. The tenants are just ATM's on legs.Do NOT deal with them, just go direct with a landlord, it's not like there is any use for estate agents in 2019.They are unregulated and staffed by sociopaths that couldn't find a job in any REAL profession

Trustpilot1 star is too much
1 star is too much, portsmouth branch would not allow viewings and only allowed virtual viewings Due to covid-19 despite the property being empty for a month. If I could add photos of the dirt, grime, mouse poo and stained carpets. Now in a battle to get my money back as no way would I allow my son to go near that house. Mann refuse to refund me and have to go through a complaints service.

TrustpilotI would HIGHLY recommend going with…
I would HIGHLY recommend going with Mann estate agents when buying/selling. Both myself and my partner had a personalised experience with the company, who offered us houses to look around prior to them being on the market. Throughout our time with them they have showed a real lack of care and understanding of what we wanted in a house and helped us every single step of the way. The whole branch were there to answer my queries or phone calls when I needed and they were all extremely friendly and found us our dream house! Extra praise goes out to Maria O'connor, who went above and beyond to help us find the dream home. From start to finish she was an absolute diamond and was there 24/7 to contact, even sometimes via text when I was unable to call due to work commitments. I thank them all so much, and will definitely be coming back to Mann Estate Agents in the future and recommending them to any of my friends in the future.

TrustpilotASHFORD LETTING
AVOID AT ALL COSTSLandlords, you will lose money, tenants you will be insulted and lose your sanity.I can't understand how any criminal, lier or sociopath can call himself an 'estate agent' in the UK. This profession is regulated anywhere else in the world. Ashford letting are basically scammers, they hide behind multiple layers of subcontractors enabling them to pass the blame. You WILL be charged ret@rded amounts of money for fresh air, you WILL be insulted by Linda, the pseudo manager who's only credentials is in insulting people and walk without shoes in the office. Avoid the aggro and go elsewhere, they are numerous estate agents in Ashford,'like cancer cells spreading all over town

TrustpilotAbsolutely appalling service from…
Absolutely appalling service from Gravesend. We let through them, they insist it’s a management company that take charge.... I’m sure someone’s bank account said different when they received their commission? Even renting through a management company the estate agent you approached should have some sort of responsibility. They have no care for their customers and will pass the buck on straight away. Never resolve just constantly push on. I’m an agent myself and I know for a fact if I treated my customers the same way, I wouldn’t have a job by the end of the day.

TrustpilotAs an ex tenant with Mann estate…
As an ex tenant with Mann estate strood I must say there are some great and some very poor points to the way we were handled. First of all, up on viewing the property we were told renovation works would take place as the property had a number of problematic issues; broken doors, rubbish in the garden we were told would be gone if we took the property but were still there on the day we moved in, broken floor boards we didnt see until we moved in and asbestos in the garden as well as damp and mould that were successfully covered by the existing tenants belongings when we viewed. On top of this a very slimy lettings agent, Stuart, who is incredibly manipulative, led us to believe the place would be renovated before we moved in in December after viewing in November. Ive rented 3 properties with much better estate agents before including daniels estates in bromley, where they promise a renovated property and when you move in the place is done! so I expected the same from Mann and I was wrong. In the end it took 6 months and the council being involved in order to get the property up to minimum living standard. Considering this, I was shocked to find, When we vacated the property a year and a bit later, that the landlady wanted to keep our deposit to fix things that were broken when we arrived. Luckily I had taken pictures of everything and forwarded them to property manager Richelle, who, with hefty negotiations, managed to get the landlady to drop all charges except for an end of tenancy clean for £350. I was willing to pay this only because I was able to get the £350 back from my new employer in a new location after claiming it as moving expenses. What was annoying was that having known the problems with that property on Jersey road the estate agent should never have allowed the land lady to claim a penny of our deposit because inspite of all the hard ship we left the property in a better condition than it was when we found it. More should be done to stop rogue landlords from taking deposits of fee paying and law abiding tenants! So approach Mann with caution especially the strood branch! they lie and do not support good tenants enough from rogue landlords.

Dirty, evil, money hungry SCUM. Have no issues with throwing out a disabled woman and her 2 children and leaving them HOMELESS. Have no basic emapthy and are so rude and quite frankly disgusting, immorable little leeches. I honestly don't know how they sleep at night, pure scum.
