We recently completed a move through Bairstow and we couldn’t be happier with the service we received. The team were professional, friendly, and very supportive. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Any questions we had were answered quickly, and we always felt updated about what stage we were at. They made what could have been a stressful experience feel smooth and well-organised. Bairstow also sold my in law's house and they also received excellent service and are extremely thankful for their help as they lost their previous sellers. I launched a beautiful property this year that had so much potential but knew it would be a tougher sale to achieve. I knew it would take a good sales team to get an good offer across the line. Poor quality viewings and service

The Clapham branch sales negotiator was late for the viewing and didn’t ask anyone from the office to notify us (15 minutes late). He had also double booked the appointment, the entire booking was a bit of a disorganised mess. There was a fair bit he wasn’t aware of and generally wasn’t that helpful. The specifications I gave weren’t followed in the viewings. I was ignored when asked if I wanted a broker and my contact information was shared when I had asked for it not to.

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service, they come across very professional when they value the house, but once its on the market the staff are unhelpful and take days to answer emails. The details were incorrect online as it was put live without us agreeing the details, the pictures were awful and the one thing we did make them change. There has been no effort to sell the house, only having one viewer in two months. Only to find out that the contract is for 4 months too, devastated. Stay away from this company.

Avoid this agency for buying your property. They fail to declare asbestos or illegal extensions, and lie about anything they can about the property to make a sale. There is no one ever in the office. When we had a survey scheduled on the property once our original offer had been accepted, they were rushing us to proceed quickly throughout this whole process and instruct our solicitors to exchange contracts. Upon the survey report, we offered 10% less than original offer which was declined. Even 5% less was declined. They did not answer any queries from the survey report and blamed the survey company that they would pick stuff out even on new builds (this was very much not a new build).

Amelia & her team have been second to none! Absolutely amazing from start to finish, answering the phone promptly, responding to emails, & generally offering support. They sold my house in less than a week of going on the market and the sale was completed from start to finish within 5 months! Mine was not the easiest sale at all and these guys corresponded with my solicitors as well as those up/down the chain to push things along. We all know that moving house is stressful at the best of times but I can genuinely say that without the support of Bairstow Eves it would have been a genuine nightmare - even on a stressful moving day I didn't need to worry because I knew that Amelia and her team were there to help. DO NOT TRUST BAIRSTOW EVES, Property Rented Without a Valid Licence

I am writing this to warn other families. My family and I have experienced nothing but stress and chaos since renting a property through Bairstow in May 2026.After moving in, we discovered to our horror that the property was let without a valid property licence. When we raised this serious legal issue, the agency completely absolved themselves of responsibility, blaming the landlord. Under UK housing law, letting agents have a strict legal duty to verify and ensure proper licensing is in place before letting a property.The customer service at this branch is shockingly unprofessional. Particular staff members, Mehmet, Rejaul, and Exene, are completely evasive. They take weeks to respond to emails and refuse to answer the phone. On the rare occasion we do manage to speak to them over the phone, they make empty promises to send over details, only to go completely silent and ignore all subsequent emails.Avoid Bairstow at all costs if you value your peace of mind and legal safety. They take your money and completely abandon their legal obligations.

Information was sparse, not clear and if we had all the information we should have had we would not have accepted the offer and kept the house on the market. Amelia was my estate agent from Bairstow Eves and Saphire was my mortgage advisor - they worked together as a bit of a double act. This was set up by Amelia at the beginning, which I imagine is intentional on behalf of countrywide. Both of them were very friendly and helpful, getting excitable for me along the way which was nice and helping me to move things as quickly as possible. To be honest, it was me slowing things down as I wanted to make sure I was making the best decisions for me in terms of conveyancing solicitors (I went outside of Countrywide for this) and also for my insurances (again arranged outside of Countrywide). Therefore in terms of the services countrywide provide - I can’t really judge their services because I didn’t use them other than for the house sale itself, although the little box of goodies on my completion date was a lovely touch! In terms of Amelia as my rep - she was amazing and always made herself available or called me back when I needed to speak with her, which was important for me - I felt looked after. I’d love for Amelia to pop by for a cuppa to see the house once it’s renovated - thank you Amelia! 😊

My experience with the lettings branch over the years has always been good. Great communication via phone or email to resolve any issues, and they are always quick to respond and answer my questions. I would in particular like to mention Tracy Scott who has been fantastic over the years with her communication and professionalism. My recent experiences with the team to market my property and find me a new tenant has be very positive. I have used Bairstow eves to manage my property for the last two years. However the deliverables that were set out when signing the agreement were not met, from increasing rent annually according to market rent, to making sure that licenses were in place throughout the two year let. I have both times went out and got the gas certification and then sent it over to them myself, this was a managed service and Ideally they should have provided this service if not a reminder at least.

I have just moved into my first house this week after renting almost 11 years and Amelia was instrumental behind the move from day one. I recently secured employment overseas and I needed to LET my property. I can honestly say that Bairstow Eves made the process of preparing my property for LET effortless. From the moment I contacted them, they were fantastic. Everything was explained comprehensively, and they took time to answer any of my questions. The advertising of my property was excellent. My tenant fully checked. The admin including the online landlord portal is excellent so this means that I am kept informed about everything.
