We have recently bought a home over at Wynyard Grange (plot 29) and could not be happier with the service we received from Rebecca Darby. We felt completely at ease when liaising with Rebecca, she was completely transparent, professional and absolutely went above and beyond for us. Even on her days off, we would receive updates, she would give us courtesy calls and when things weren’t going so well due to complexities with solicitors, Rebecca spent the time on an evening on the phone putting our mind at rest.I honestly don’t think I have ever experienced first class customer service like it. Thank you to Rebecca and Steve (site manager), who also explained things in detail to us, made us feel at ease and ensured our experience was positive.

The process of buying a house from Avant was straight forward. Once they have your money, they don't care. I purchased a plot on Elliot Place 2 years ago, and after stating on the demo day that the front door doesn't close correctly, they assured me this would be fixed. It's been 2 years and the door is still broken. 2 years of calls, emails and bodged attempts at fixing it cheaply, they are seemingly refusing to fix the door, likely as it will cost them money to do so. even though their joiner, a professional door installation company, Avants regional manager and site manager have all confirmed the door and frame need replacing. Customer services is a joke. in the 2 years this has been going on, the majority of the people dealing with this issue have quit, including our personal contact we were given. They dont update you until you prod them and it's always "we're sorry", followed by an excuse, then stating they will do the thing you asked them to do months ago, and big surprise, they dont do it.To add to this, while in the process of buying an Avant home, i was put off by the reviews stating the customer service was terrible. We were assured that it was a 3rd party company which they have parted ways with and they now have expert in-house customer service... That was a lie.We actually have around 20 other snags which we have now pushed to the side, in the hopes of speeding up the fixing of the door. I am in the process of raising this with the new homes Ombudsmen and likely will be taking Avant to small claims court.Please avoid Avant Homes like the plague. They simply don't care once you exchange.

We’ve recently moved into our new home and have been impressed by pre and post customer care. A special thanks to Natalie J who was there every step of the way with helpful updates, advice and expert knowledge. Even throughout lockdown when she kept in regular contact which we found reassuring. Like most, we’ve noted some snagging issues but Dave and Laura F have been responsive in facilitating repairs albeit with some still outstanding. Bought an Avant property straight off plan at City Fields, Wakefield. Been in my home coming up to 20 months now. Couple of snagging issues as to be expected with a new build, largely around the bi-fold doors (which are a great feature to the home but weren’t installed correctly) It took 3 separate occasions to sort but I’ve found the customer service team to be very responsive, in particular Shelby who is attentive and has always arranged for the appropriate work to be done .You hear a lot of horror stories about new build homes across all the developers but I honestly think some people’s expectations are far too unrealistic. All in all love my home.

Myself and my partner just bought a new build at Shelton Village and have had an overall positive experience so far! The sales experience was great, we dealt with Rob who was really amazing at keeping us up to date and helping with any queries we had.The house overall has not had any major issues/snags, and snags can only be expected for a man made house! We did feel like when we moved in a few things were missed that we raised in the home demo so they could get us in quicker, however both the site manager and Zara the customer rep have been really quick to get any snags we have raised so far sorted. Still a few things to do and some chasing required, but we have only been in a few weeks. Everyone I have dealt with has been really lovely.

This review relates to the complaints department, and in particular Matthew, Caroline and Laura. We love our house and having bought a new build before we knew that you get issues and snags within the first couple of years. While Avant were still on site they were fairly good at sorting out little bits, but once they left it was rare to see them about. I had raised an issue a while ago and heard nothing so logged a complaint, and within 24 hours Matthew had got back to me and booked a site visit for the same week with Laura and Caroline. The ladies have been this afternoon and they were very helpful, Laura sorted a couple of minor bits while she was here and Caroline made detailed notes about our concerns. I have every confidence that they will remedy our issues and have been really pleased with how our complaint has been dealt with. Thank you.I would add that we have lived in our Avant home for nearly two years and we absolutely love it. The layout is fantastic for a young family and we have not been plagued with issues like others have reported.

It was such a breath of fresh air to have a face to face visit from the customer care team today and Laura was able to complete a few jobs whilst here, going above and beyond to make sure that I was happy and that what she did was to a very high standard.
