GoogleGreat service from start to finish. Office staff were polite and efficient. Our Surveyor Tom was very professional and was very patient and knowledgeable answering/explaining the questions my wife and I had. We would highly recommend this company and Tom in particular to anyone needing a survey.

GoogleDealing with Debbie, was rude and not very helpful. Told to be at a place for 10am and to ensure I'm on time as they can't be waiting around on a Saturday and guess what... no one turned up!

However, i dont feel the comment about me being rude in telling you to be somewhere for a certain time is a fair comment.

GoogleAsked for more info on a property and was told to go read it on the website. Simply rude, uninformed, and unhelpful It's not unreasonable to expect a sales person to know something about what they are selling or at least try and find out
Thank you for your review, however I was actually at the side of my colleague when your call was taken. I believe you asked for more information to which the member of staff informed you that all the information regarding the property was on our website. You then proceeded to ask about the area, im sure you can appreciate that is something you need to look into yourself as your idea of a good or bad area can be totally different to someone else's therefore very subjective.

GoogleSlow and unresponsive. Quick to arrange a viewing, but then the agent turned up at the wrong address. Viewing took place 30 minutes late and from there the poor communication started. Very quick and happy to take the fee to apply, but it has now been nearly two months since application now with my business partner still not having been told if the application was rejected or not. Luckily a much nicer office was found at a better price in a countryside location. Went from viewing to application to approval in 4 days. Guess it's for the best W A Barnes never bothered to keep us updated.

GoogleA disgrace of a company. Didn't inform me of multiple offers on my land in Nottinghamshire. Not sure what they were trying to do but pulled the listing and the land has now been sold with another agent. AVOID!!

Debbie in the sales office has been absolutely fantastic from start to finish! We also viewed our new home with Tom on two different occasions & his knowledge of the property he is selling is second to none. Once again, we just want to say a big thank you in helping us purchase our dream home!

GoogleExtremely poor service, no emergency contact or out of hours number. Despite having a serious leak I was unable to contact anyone on a Sunday. Consequential loss of a kitchen to the poor landlord who will be footing the bill no doubt.

GoogleRecently sold a property via the online auction process - managed by Tom. The process was very efficient and I was very happy with the service (and the fact it sold over asking price) Compared to others I’ve sold with W A Barnes were competitively priced and I would happily buy (or sell) through them in auction again.

GoogleI purchased a property through their auctions in February 2019. The process went through smoothly and I was hugely impressed that W A Barnes does not rip off buyers with massive premiums (like most auction houses nowadays, especially SDL). I would happily buy or sell through them in auction again.
