Simply the BEST !!

I’ll keep it short the team at Biggin Hill Kent are the best estates I have ever dealt with. Karen, Gary and Caroline are so switched on when it comes to giving sound advice over realistic valuations, marketing, and communications. It was literally the smoothest house transaction I have ever done. Other local estate agents could learn a lesson or two about efficiency. We’ll done and thank you once again.

Had a great experience dealing with Julie, Jamal and Hayley whilst attempting to find a property to rent. Their communication throughout the process was amazing and I cannot thank them enough for their hard work!

By far the worst real estate agent I…

By far the worst real estate agent I have ever been involved with. The rental home we were to move into late last year was undergoing renovations at the time of the viewing and was promised to be completed by 21st November and effectively unfurnished. Move in day arrives and there are still two workers plastering and painting the ceilings and walls amongst other things, meaning the property was filthy and uninhabitable. The house had also been left full of the previous tenants furniture leaving no room for our own. The inventory report could not be completed that day either for obvious reasons. This delayed our move in date by 2 weeks until the 3rd of December and left us stuck with an uninhabitable property.Incredible lack of communication in any form from Bairstow Eves' end, both throughout the moving in process and now while we are still awaiting further repairs to be done to the house (2 months now). Many emails sent without response to multiple staff members.Avoid at all costs and save yourselves the trouble of dealing with this company.

Dont use them

Lee came round really sold us a good service and value for money. We trusted him and signed up, what we have got so far isnt good. We got 6 viewings and only 3 turned up. The estate agent turned up 20 minutes late for the viewings and then she had a conversation with my neighbour about him just selling his flat. The people viewing over heard and this effected the offer to me. So unprofessional and I would not use them again, let hope the flat sells.

Totally incompetent

They kept my deposit as someone complained the house was dusty few days after it was thoroughly cleaned. This is a scam as the cleaning bill I was charged for was about £330, when I know for a fact they do not send a cleaner before new tennants move in. I cleaned the house myself and got charged for it!!This company is a total waste of time, the agents are completely incompetent and lazy. Landlords would better do it themselves, any repair through Bairstoweves will never be sorted.

I would 100% recommend anyone to use Bairstow Eves. They made finding the right flat easy and simple. Julie and Ayden were fantastic! Makes a delightful change from most agents we have dealt with in the past.

Honestly I wish it was possible to give…

Honestly I wish it was possible to give zero stars.Landlords and tenants alike should avoid this company. Firstly, I was basically tricked into changing my energy supplier to Spark energy, who put me on an incredibly expensive tarrif without my knowledge or consent, Bairstow eves did NOT inform me about any of this. Spark energy comes bottom in almost all rankings of energy suppliers. Maybe thats why they have to force people moving home to switch to them? Similar happened with my water bill. I somehow ended up with three water accounts for the property.Secondly, Bairstow eves did not have a copy of the keys during the whole of my tenancy. They gave me the only set, and then asked me to bring them into their office so they could have another set cut. Highly inconvenient, and when I picked the keys up, they still hadn't had a set cut. So i took the keys, and had they needed to gain access, they would have been unable to do so. When i gave notice and moved out, no one contacted me about checkout or handing the keys back. I wonder if the homeowner was aware of this?Thirdly, now I have moved out (several weeks ago) no one has contacted me regarding an inspection, checkout or deposit. Absolutely pathetic.

Terrible Company

I have experienced Bairstow Eves as both a buyer and a seller and my opinion of them could not be much lower.I had my flat on market with another agents who did their best but things ran out of stream after about 9 months so I switched to Bairstow Eves hoping I could kick start things again.I will say that the flat is not in good repair and the lease is short but the asking price has been substantially reduced to take account of this. All I have had in 3 months is 2 offers, both well below the asking price. There seems to be little effort made to negotiate or put themselves out and I just wonder how they stay in business. They do not seem to want to do anything to earn their commission.I will be dispensing with their service. On the purchase front I was met with the same laissez faire attitude and lack of communication and my purchase fell through, not completely their fault, but I feel I was misled about the reliability of the seller then just left in the air for weeks without contact.

Rented a flat in Leyton for 2 years…

Rented a flat in Leyton for 2 years through them and paid full rent 6 months in advance for the whole duration of the tenancy. Gave more than a month of notice that i wished to not renew the yearly contract, before the tenancy was coming to an end. I greatly facilitated finding new tenant/s by providing my own free time for viewings (the letting agent was quite unprofessional and crammed in up to 6 viewings in the span of half an hour! and he contacted me on whatsapp for viewings he had already booked for late evenings, without asking if i could even be at the flat!). I contacted the agency only ONCE, about a small problem with the boiler, and that was towards the end of the tenancy. I was promised a full deposit refund (even though I didn't demand it, and I'm happy to be charged for small damages, that are unavoidable when you live in a place for two years). It has been 4+ weeks, no deposit in sight!! The person who is SUPPOSEDLY in charge is constantly on holiday. I thought they would be trustworthy, but now i worry about the safety of my bank account (I provided them my bank details).

Customer complaint - It's like they don't want you to buy homes from them?

Customer complaint:Dear Sir,I would like to raise a complaint as my dealings with this company have been terrible from start to finish. It took over a week and countless chasers to receive some simple answers to questions regarding a property, once we over came this hurdle and arranged a viewing Cecilia Urban had the audacity to leave me waiting in the rain forgetting about the appointment all together?!This is just not the way to do business. If your staff are to busy hire more? Don't allow for your customer service to fall off a cliff. If your staff can't tell the time teach them?I am just lost for words...Regards Jack

Still charging renewal fees.

Renewals fees banned as of June 2019, determined exploitative by the government. My renewal is due in Feb and they're still going to charge me 125 quid to renew for a further 12 months and can only do so legally because I signed before the ban came into force. They still hold £450 deposit from my previous tenancy with them because of a dispute with the land lady, when I contacted them for assistance they very rudely turned me away.Wont be using them again.

I bought a flat through Bairstow Eve Purley. I had a pretty harrowing 14 month odyssey trying to get it due to both sides’ solicitors. The agent who worked on my case, Kerry, was hugely helpful through the whole process. She pursued the very slow solicitors tenaciously, was very communicative, and attentive to the case.

Rubbish estate agency

Been attempting to buy a property that was marketed by this so-called estate agency. Their service has been totally awful: ignoring all forms of communication, happy to tell you all sorts of rubbish about leaseholds which was completely incorrect and just generally rude, uncooperative and useless. Surprisingly, even my solicitor stated that she was sick of their harassment.Sorry to the seller that I had to pull out but this company is not really fit to act as an estate agency.

Tenant beware

These people are just cons. They have no professional ethics at all. I recently took a property with them and they tell you lies left centre and right just to get you into the property. I have been in a property for more than 2 weeks and do not have a washer and the fridge is leaking gas but despite having been promised that the appliances will be replenished it's now 2 weeks and nothing has come. They are extremely rude so beware when you take them on for anything. I am very happy for Trust Pilot should have come here before signing up with them. So tenant be warned.

I have been letting my property through…

I have been letting my property through Bairstows for a number of years now and my recent experience with them has been exceptional. The Letting team of Jamie,Charlie and Jess did an extremely professional job with advertising, viewings with continuous feedback throughout the process. Highly recommended.RegardsKeith N.

Beware - Negligent Property Management Company

Awful management service that has resulted in my being thousands of pounds out of pocket and having to seek legal advice. Bairstow Eves badly mishandled the tenant, who ended up leaving the property and refusing to pay rent. Their contract was so poorly put together that despite significant pet damage to the carpet, repainting several rooms in garish colours, breaking internal fittings (cisterns) and wrecking the garage door, I have had to foot the bill because the takeover of the property was so shoddily handled. Their 6-monthly inspections of the property (which they only carried out because I insisted on it) were negligent and they failed to spot water damage from a leaking boiler, which the tenant had failed to report. Utterly disgraceful company. Do not risk your money - go anywhere else but Bairstow Eves.

Totally let down by tamworth branch

Totally let down by tamworth branch. They suggested I put my furniture and belongings in the out buildings to let the buyers move in and I would collect when my new house was completed in a few days , after leaving the furniture the buyers complained about the contents been left and we met in the estate agents face to face , Aleisha said that I had told her there were just a few items to store and this is what the buyers were led to believe , this is absolute rubbish she knew I had a houseful of furniture , she just wanted me out the house . I have had to move all the contents again and been given a court order , it is sitting in storage now and costing me a fortune because of this estate agent .

Worse letting agency I ever had

We've been renting with them for 3 months. The moving date was known 1 month before we actually arrived and on the actual date the beds were not even there, one of the bathrooms had to be fixed and today is still not ready as is leaking downstairs and had fire brigade to jump in from the windows while not at home 3 times. In the pre-letting agreement, we were supposed to get some furniture, which we still don't have. The personnel of the agency is not helping either. Really disappointing.

Renters beware!! Ensure you request a clean property!

Viewed a property and despite the mess accepted the property accepting that it would be cleaned when the tenants left. It wasn’t. Move in day was a nightmare, food left in fridge, open tins and all, place filthy, urine around toilet seats, utterly filthy. Bairstow Eves response was it was my fault as I should have requested it to be cleaned as a prerequisite of taking to property. I’ve never heard of anywhere that you have to request it be handed over in a habitable state. Unacceptable!

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would! They kept holding deposit unlawfully and without respecting the pre agreement signed by both parties, rude behaviours shouting on the phone and claiming to be the best! Avoid if you can rent somewhere else!

A review of the romford branch

A review of the romford branch. We have been with Bairstow eves / county wide for several months. In the period we have had many issues. Of times of four viewings booked and one or none actually turn up, never a follow up call on the Monday after the non show of viewers. Management change in the period didn’t change the situation. We’ve had never had an agent actually attend the property with a potential buyer. We were suspicious that the majority of the viewings are actually fake. As every time we threaten to move away from Bairstow they seem to find more viewings all over the weekend when they’re unavailable to speak to about the no shows. Many many ruined weekends waiting for these potential buyers is tiresome at the very least. Especially if you only get weekends off from your work. Be mindful when opting for selling with this branch. I can’t speak for any other branch. Re - Allison ward

Appalling service and bad…

Appalling service and bad communication. Do not use their estate agents Countryside as they are worse and you get charged for extras not even heard of and I worked in conveyance solicitors just thieves and bad service. You can never get hold of them either. Baistow Eves also lied about reasons for delay as covering themselves. Use professional estate agent and local solicitors lesson learned!!

Poor Service

Recently I made an appointment to view two property for buying. In order to book the appointment I had to submit mortgage deed and other necessary documents, only after viewing this document they ll allow you to book the property for viewing. I understand its their rules and regulation and I have to obey. All documents had been verified and my appointment booked a week before. On the day of the appointment, the agency people came but they took the wrong key for the first house and I was like that's ok we ll rearrange for viewing and I asked can we move to the next property, they mentioned they hadn't got the keys for the second property as well. I lost my patience here, they check a lot of documents to book an appointment and they forgot the main things that is needed for a house. They needs to work on this in rules and regulation before question buyer a lotPoor customer service, very bad experience right from the start of booking appointments. Never suggest this agency to my friends either for letting or buying a property
