Seymours in Surbiton were a complete joy to work with. They provided a seamless experience from our initial viewing all the way through to the completion of our onward purchase. Sam was fantastic at arranging viewings and remained incredibly supportive throughout the offer stage. Paul (I believe) conducted the viewing and impressed us with his extensive local knowledge. A special mention must go to Jenny, who managed the sales progression. She is an absolute star, always going above and beyond and willing to help wholeheartedly. Thanks to the fabulous staff at the Surbiton branch, the entire end-to-end process flowed effortlessly. I am so grateful to the whole team!

Update: after my positive experience buying a property, I used Seymours as my letting agent. Once locked into the contract, the service was not great. Inspections were late, or didn’t happen, and although it was the tenants responsibility, they overlooked reporting on the front garden and it was totally out of control & the wooden windowsill rotted over 10-months. They then tried to force me over the next weeks and months to continue to pay them thousands of pounds for a tenant they placed in the flat 3-4 years prior even after the contract expired and I gave them 3-4 months of prior notice that I would not renew with them. They tried to double charge me even though I had already paid to place the tenant. They made up a lot of nonsense about ways I owed them money and made me feel cornered and intimidated. I have experience with contracts so I pointed out that the nonsense they came up with wasn’t in the contract so they couldn’t enforce any of it, but someone else might have fallen for their trickery. Never again. Soooo disappointing. Have found Seymours to be incredibly responsive & helpful during the buying process. They went above and beyond to accommodate family viewings during the buying process, ensured the sale went through at speed, and sourced answers to questions at speed. Thanks to Sam & John & Felix - highly recommend!

Perhaps unusually, as purchasers, we would like to thank Nick and Jenny for their professional and charming help in the purchase of a property in Thames Ditton which was on Seymours’ books. From showing us round the day after we contacted them when Nick was professional, informative and helpful it was even better when he suggested that we visited the next day to view the property again and meet the vendors. We had our offer accepted a few days later. From then on Jenny couldn’t have been more helpful. And even when we collected the keys they were so kind. Now, a week later, we are happily settled into our new home. Thank you both for all your help.

We have just completed on the sale of our house and our daughter and family completed on their sale a few months ago. Both sales were handled very smoothly and calmly by the Seymours staff, especially John and Nick. When we felt worried about whether we would attract the right buyer, they would calmly assure us that we only need ONE buyer - the right one. And in both cases, they delivered us with textbook buyers, which resulted in our houses being sold to buyers without any chain behind them. This resulted in a very smooth and quite rapid completion. Once we had accepted our offer, the follow-up sales process was handed to Jenny. She was amazing, always available on the phone and although our buyers kept contacting her about inconsequential little details, she never lost her patience, but kept guiding them along up to completion day. My daugher and I can both highly recommend Seymours for selling your property.

Firstly, this is the company in Surbiton to use for buying/selling property if you want an experienced, trustworthy and reliable team on your side. Unwavering commitment to helping throughout each step of the process, with a relaxed approach throughout the journey and providing knowledgable insight into the housing market. We were selling 2 properties (flats) and buying 1 (house). The first sale landing within a few weeks, but the second sale took 6 months (due to housing market being flooded with flats) during which time, Seymour’s were patient, respectful and diligent in their approach and how they treated us as clients. Prices versus others were competitive and always contactable, even at evenings and weekends. Massive thanks to Sam (super patient and controlled everything extremely well) John, Nick and the team for supporting, guiding and enabling us to keep all parties happy over the prolonged period and for getting us into our lovely house! Hats off. If you’re going to use an estate agents in Surbiton, just use these guys!

This time we made the mistake of listing this property initially through our letting agent who did not know the Surbiton market at all well, nor have a large list of potential buyers. Nick was able to rescue the listing and help us to find a buyer despite a difficult market just before Christmas. Seymours were outstanding from start to finish for the recent sale of my 2 bed flat on one of Surbiton's River roads. They took the time to understand the unique selling points, they use only trusted professional photographers (lots of estate agents don't!), and they have a great sales team that encourage prospective buyers to envisage themselves living there. I had 7 viewings in week 1 and received 4 offers, with the property ultimately selling for over asking price when it was already listed at a slightly higher price than any other agent had recommended. OK some of that was market conditions, but a lot was down to Seymours. After the offer was accepted, Sam was outstanding at ensuring sales progression kept moving (never underestimate the value of an agent in this!). When simple queries could be solved with a quick phone call, it is the agent that gets the swiftest response, whilst the solicitor route can often be painfully slow. Sam was always contactable and responsive, and really ensured there was minimal stress for me in this process, despite the long time frame due to being in a chain. I have friends who used other (more costly) agents in Surbiton who did not get this level of service. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Seymours or to use them again.
