Fine and Country in Diss have been very responsive and helpful throughout the process from the booking to see the house, offer to acceptance (thank you Chris for facilitating this) through to exchange. As the buyer, it is important the process moves forward without bumps to exchange. If left in the hands of the solicitors then we would still not have exchanged given their lack of urgency and the intervention of Fine and Country to get to exchange was invaluable - thank you Philippa and Tania for your help here.

Finding the right family for our Home

It has taken an amazing team effort to exchange today. The family who are moving in are the right family. We worked hard but without the dedication, common sense, diligence and experience of the two-person team at Norwich Fine and Country over the last eight months it could never have happened. Trust was at the centre of our relationship, we were confident that they were looking out for us, we knew that they understood our love for our house and why it was a difficult decision to leave our friends and Norfolk. Their patience and willingness to explain what was normal behaviour in 2021 was exemplary. They are the people I would do business with, both wise and expert in the complex, hard tasks of selling one's much loved home. A first class, professional, personalised service that works

Pip and Arma were fantastic. From the first meeting they were professional, helpful, knowledgeable and supportive. The major challenge that we identifed was that our property was fairly bespoke but that did not present a problem to Pip and Arma. They secured an impressive number of viewings using their network of contacts so we knew is was only a matter of time before we received the right offer. There were the inevitable hiccups along the way but Arma and Pip always found the right path to take. We can say with confidence that we would not have sold at the price and within the timescales that were acheived, if we had chosen a different agent. Not the cheapest, but good value nonetheless

During my recent house sale everyone that I dealt with at the Fine & Country office in Diss were extremely professional, helpful and friendly. Prior to coming to market there were two visits from Chris and on both occasions he presented Fine & Country in a very positive light, one that was subsequently lived up to in spades.Heidi displayed patience in the extreme during the production of the beautiful house particulars brochure. The accompanied viewings were arranged and conducted to my complete satisfaction by Sue and Tania, the former also performing excellent office coordination, and the latter also providing good communication between myself and the buyer. Post sales was handed over to Philippa who also did a great job of formalising communication to and from the buyer. All in all Fine & Country at Diss made a potentially stressful situation as smooth as it possibly could be, and I have no hesitation in recommending them wholeheartedly.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all of you for helping me get the sale of Mount View Lodge over the line back in October. The professional package, photo’s, sales team and brochure that your team put together was superior to what we had seen before and all of your staff: Jay, Michael, Alison, Liberty, Karen and Emma were a delight to deal with. The moment Jay came to see us in May we knew that we were in good hands and felt confident that the house would sell. I cannot thank Adrian Beatty with Fine & Country Twyford and Windsor offices enough for selling my home with complete professionalism and drive to not only achieve the best price, but with absolute integrity. He managed to sell my property £400k over the asking price (!) in 5 weeks ,after a year and a half being on the market with two other very well-known agencies. I had my house on with a well-known agent for country houses with little interest being shown. Marie’s remarkable work ethic

We were with another agent for 6 months, they showed know interest or drive to sell our house. We decided to go with a different agent. We went with Marie from fine and Country Marie had the drive and a different outlook on the selling of our home . She booked one open day for potential buyers to view, on that day we had a disaster, a water leak!!! (we were away at the time) Marie not only sold our house in it’s worst state , she helped with the clean up !! We were kept informed all the way through out the sale of our home . The best Estate Agents in town!

I honestly can’t fault the service and professionalism provided by Sam Funnell and Claire Heritage of Fine and Country Rugby. From the initial first meeting and market appraisal, I felt that Sam was approachable and incredibly knowledgeable on the local property market. The marketing materials and videos were of exceptional quality and showed our home off to its full potential. All viewings were accompanied and full feedback and follow up provided in a timely manner. Sam and Claire’s advice has been spot on throughout the selling process, and when we ran into difficulties with the sale Sam was always available to reassure and crucially chase up the other parties, when I often was not able to get hold of my solicitor, or anyone else involved.It was an emotional experience to sell our family home, but Sam and Claire have been very supportive and understanding, and eased the process massively. On a personal level, I felt that Sam and Claire, really cared about us and our family situation. They are friendly and I’m very grateful to have met them.To those who may think that Estate Agency is expensive, I consider the service I have received to be extremely good value for money. I was rented a property in an…

I was rented a property in an exceptionally poor standard. There were holes in the front and back doors and the wind howled through, the whole house. No attempt was made to fix this, I was informed to fix it myself. It took 3 months to address the heating situation, which left me without heating during winter but then it worked in summer, thanks! The condemned fire place was still present and the woodwork of the windowsills was rotten and mouldy, which I had the pleasure of paying for damages out of my deposit.Was told I could do what I’d like to the property, added some bespoke fitted shelves etc which clearly added value to the property and had to pay for this too as it wasn’t made clear that I’d need the landlords permission. Over all highly disappointed in my time at my fine and country rental property. It wasn’t in a position to be rented out and shouldn’t have been until it had extensive work done, it would appear they’ve kept most of my deposit to do this work ready for the next tenant.

Thank you to Leah at the Leicestershire branch for all your hard work and help during my house buying journey. I am a first time buyer who actually bought through Vincent estate agents. I am in a large chain and communication with my estate agent was terrible beyond words. Leah was the estate agents who was looking after a customer within my chain but she took it upon herself to help me and keep me, and the rest of the buyers, updated with information even though I was not her customer. Thanks to her we managed to communicate and exchange today with completion next week!! She did far more than my estate agents did. If I was to ever buy again I'd deffo use fine and country purely for the service she provided.

Lost for words

From the outset of our dealings with this agency, (mainly with Stacey in Lettings) the communication was very poor, we found ourselves constantly chasing for updates, sending multiple emails in order to get a response, if you called no-one would be available to help and call backs would never get returned.We paid a holding fee for a property 53 Moor End in Edlesborough back in August 2021, agreed with a 12 month contract, the landlord then wanted 24 months with a break clause, so we agreed and then decided he wanted a 24 month contract fixed term, we agreed. We were then given a move in date of the 18th October, checking in with the agents every few weeks to make sure everything was okay and on track, we were constantly advised everything was good.On Friday 15th October after minimal correspondence, I called the office as it was strange that move in monies hadn't been requested, key collection appointments hadn't been made, I was advised it was fine and not to worry.By 2:30pm on the 15th, I received a call from Stacey advising the landlord wanted to push back the move in due to wanting the tenancy agreement read over by a solicitor, (this property had been rented out for 5 years prior) mind blowing, how it was advertised from August and no action requested till the last working day before move in.We found that even though this left us with nowhere to live, until the landlord had all of his questions answered, we were still never given a new confirmed move in date.We were left without a home, deliveries booked, engineers booked, and paying for additional weeks of storage.Today the agency have re-advertised the property at a higher asking price.We feel there was more to the story, and that we never given the full truth.There was no compassion or understanding or even help with a new move date, that both the landlord and the agents were leaving us homeless.In my many years of renting and working in the industry have I ever come across such negligent behaviour.
