Thank you Connells for selling our house recently. Our initial conversation was informative and everyone involved has gone above to find a buyer. After many years of renting with half arsed landlords/estate agents we found the most beautiful property up for let in the middle of Kingswinford, with Connells in Stourbridge. When we first viewed the property in question we were greeted by Katie with a lovely welcoming smile, and a professional handshake, which was so pleasant! Throughout our process with this property we have had nothing but excellent service from the apprentice Katie. She has been amazing with us. She always kept us in the loop at every single stage of our tenancy application with a simple phone call, her dedication for her clients is unmeasurable, our experience with Connells has been so easy for us with this property. Not to mention after the years of renting prior to this, we have never had such a professional, easy application process like this before. Katie went above and beyond for us the entire time and we are so grateful. When we arrived to collect our keys for our move in date, Katie completed all of the necessary requirements quickly and we were given a move in hamper!! Filled with lots of goodies for us and our new home. Katie is an absolute CREDIT to Connells in Stourbridge, her professionalism and duty of care for her clients is second to none, that good that I never even knew she was an apprentice until i saw it on her email when we moved in! On the 31st of October 2023 my partner and I finally got the keys to our first home together. Kaya and Charlotte were both stellar, Charlotte was excellent in helping us navigate the minefields regarding mortgages and Kaya was so supportive and helpful. She put our minds at ease more than once! Thank you both, it was a long and turbulent 6 months but you both made it easier to bear. Connells even gave us a sweet gift box to celebrate our key day. I'm so thankful to have had such a proficient mortgage adviser, Charlotte Stanton kept in contact with me throughout the long journey of finding the perfect first home and found a fitting mortgage package. If I could give zero I would. Horrendous company. As soon as you sign the papers they don't answer calls or emails they don't care. Throughout our rental they were no help and Will was nothing but rude and abrupt to myself and my partner. Completely biased and do not care about tenants. Don't waste your time and make sure you take pictures of everything and record everything as they will use it against you.

What turned out to be a less than straightforward purchase was handled magnificently by Kaya from stourbridge branch. A couple of occasions we reached points where the deal could well of fallen apart but Kayas reassuring attitude and pragmatic approach made sure it got back on track. Would give no star if possible, worst experience ever with connells Stourbridge. They let a property without a carbon monoxide or a earth wire in the gas meter. After 4 weeks of lettings the property we started reporting damp. We left after 2 years of fighting connells and the landlord with help from the local council and the property was still riddled with damp. We even went onto BBC radio with the state of the property. Our son was in and out of hospital requiring oxygen due to the property being so bad. Once we was finally out after 4 weeks connells still hadn't request our deposit back. We had to contact the deposit holder scheme and open up a dispute because the the lettings agent didn't do their job. In our leaving checked they asked us if we knew we had damp after us and council fighting it for 2 years. That how much they listen to tenance. Honestly the staff turn over at connells is stupid, at one point every time we connected them their was someone new, ( we was contacting them multiple times a week). And the staff that they do keep are heartless and stated lets hope the property doesn't kill your child!! Honestly stay away from this letting agency, they will not support or help you no matter what but bully and try and intimidate you if you report a issue. Shouldn't be allowed to let propert!!
