Orchards Estates are a group of extremely friendly, happy and very approachable people. They have a real feel for their work and obviously love it. Nothing is too onerous and everything during this most stressful of times is met with a real positive, can-do attitude. Outstanding Service

As first time sellers we had no idea which estate agent to use, in the end we saw five agents back to back, Orchards were genuinely different in their approach and our gut instinct said to use them. Some of the other agents were quick to highlight the 'shortfalls' of using an 'online' agent and we did initially wonder if we had made the best choice. We both agreed though that we were impressed with what we had seen and it was only the lack of a shop window that really caused us any concern and which serious buyer only uses an agents shop window? Skip forward and how glad are we that we trusted that instinct.... 5 star service all the way, everything Orchards promised they delivered on, We did not think ours would be an easy property to sell but with a very proactive and professional approach, Orchards oversaw viewings at all hours were never late to appointments, kept us regularly informed and throughout whichever team member we spoke to, they were all very positive and helpful. Very professional, my house was sold the day after it was advertised

I was selling a house as executor in an unfamiliar area. I invited three local agents to advise on value and the sales process. Orchards' representative was so much more professional than the others. He was on time; he had researched the property, telling me what work had been carried out and what permissions had been obtained from the council; he had a tape measure, he identified potential damp patches or problem areas, he went into the loft and he was able not only to give specific value, but offer advice on how to present, sell and market the house. The house was advertised on a Friday, by the end of that day a viewing had taken place and an offer received. The following day a sale was agreed which was finalised within two months. Orchards looked after my interests throughout, as well as those of the buyer, and we concluded the deal with all of us feeling we had been well supported. Orchards carried out many minor administrative matters such as meter readings as I live so far away, they were truly my agents in the area. High recommended.

Disappointed

In general Orchards have been very helpful and proactive. However, we recently lost our buyers due to the fact that Tom didn't 'read' our situation with either understanding or empathy. We have an easily resolvable access problem which our solicitor is working on. It is so resolvable that our house insurance is paying our costs. Tom spooked our buyers into pulling out of the sale instead of referring them directly to us for the facts in their entirety. Subsequently we have lost the house of our dreams and a lot of angst has been caused on both sides. This situation required diplomacy and tact and a modicum of intelligence correctly executed. We are very saddened by the inept handling and write this so that this never happens to a future buyer and Tom learns from his bungling. I am hoping to salvage this uncomfortable situation, but that all depends on whether our buyer is still willing to listen. Yesterday I collected our key- I was barely acknowledged. Thank you Orchards.

The perfect service

Our experience of Orchards estates has been nothing short of exceptional! They effortlessly mix professionalism with friendliness! From our first contact the staff have been efficient and warm. They always arrived in plenty of time before the scheduled viewings and we felt comfortable enough to give them a key so they were able to conduct viewings even if we weren't at home. The feedback was always relayed promptly and you were able to discuss how the property had been received and any interest the prospective buyers may have shown, along with their current market position (cash buyers, in a chain etc). The brochure was completed both quickly, and with care whilst the picture and video quality along with their keen attention to detail is second to none!
