Don’t buy one

Don’t buy one! Contacted customer services at least five times and no reply whatsoever. Also they ban you from commenting on Facebook if you make any comments that are negative. Every comment I have ever made has been honest and true. Absolutely disgusting service. I would give 0 stars if I could.

Don’t Buy From Gleeson

Gleesons are about as useful as a chocolate fireguard, they was ment to come out and fix our french doors as they would not lock, site manager had sent some and they have now made it even worse but gleesons think not being able to lock your doors is okay, they are an absolute joke

No Building regulation sign off, poor groundwork

Do not purchase a home from this developer. We lived on a Gleesons estate for almost five years. After our home being delayed for 6 months we moved in. We thought everything was fine until I decided to lay artificial grass due to their turf being sub standard and a mess. Garden sloped left to right by almost 60 cm. Front grass relaid twice as it sunk and died. The worse was still to come. When we came to sell our property we found out that Gleesons had not got building regulations sign off from the council for our home. When the council came out to check the home the refused us a certificate as there was no path Connecting the property to the pavement. It took Gleesons 4 weeks to put in the 4 flags required for sign off and even then it had to be redone. We found out from Rochdale council that there this is not an isolated case and that they were aware of numerous properties that didn’t have building regs sign off. I think it is disgusting that a malpractice like this can happen and unsuspecting buyers may not find out about this line us through until they sell their property. I contacted Gleesons after I moved and all they offered was an apology. I am now in the process of talking to trading standards and citizens advice to see where I go with this next. Please think carefully about purchasing from Gleesons and if you do please check all documentation. Although our property hadn’t been signed off we still had an NHBC warranty.and I simply want to educate prospective buyers about this practice so this doesn’t happen to them.

We love our Gleeson home! Been in 6 months and if it wasn't for Gleesons offering such a good value houses we wouldn't be living together! All our reported "snags" have been sorted quickly and the customer service from start to finish has been always amazing! Would always recommend Gleeson to friends and family!

slow to rectify issues, roads left unfinished

been in our house around 3 months, still waiting for our drive to be finished with final layer of tarmac as currently cannot get car onto the drive due to the size of the kerbs! have been told that nothing can be done til the council adopt the roads and paths. roads are also in poor condition with pot holes, raised ironworks and most of the kerb stones broken. just glad we didn't pay a lot!

Outside tap

Had an issue with my outside tap, reported it after only living in the house 2 weeks, cancelled it cause it started working, reported it again in Dec, defect declined saying its weather related. Since found out many people on the estate had same issues, therefore not weather related and an actual issue with the tap. Been living in my house 6 months, biggest mistake of my life buying a gleeson home

Still waiting for the house to be finished 22 months after moving in!

Well, we've now been in our house for 22 months and Gleeson STILL haven't completed the work! The rest of the estate has been completed but we have not had our driveway done. Gleeson promise month after month that it WILL be done, yet here we are still waiting. Worse experience we've ever had. If I had £1 for every apology they offer, I could pay my mortgage off.

Take your hard earned money elsewhere! This company does not care. Don’t purchase a gleeson homes unless you want hell on earth.

Do not ever buy a house from gleeson homes! Take your hard earned money elsewhere. They are an absolutely disgusting company to deal with, they always deflect blame onto the customers rather than admitting liability themselves.We have had blocked toilets for 7 months BECAUSE OUR PIPES WERE FILLED WITH EXPANDING FOAM! It took them 7 months of over flowing toilets, a huge leak on Boxing Day, my cat sick and admitted to the vets for them to actually discover they had filled our pipes.I made a complaint and the response I got was that it happened because too many people were involved... too many people were involved because nobody in this company responds to you so you take things further. I had the blocked toilets logged for over a month the last time until someone actually did anything and still then they did nothing. They left us over the whole Christmas period unable to use our upstairs facilities!!! We could use the downstairs toilet and all this while we have a young baby in the house.I’m currently contacting all local papers and radio stations to make them aware and others aware of this awful company.

Did plot 2 birch green get another freebie gift for their positive reviews? Worst company we have ever dealt with. Non responsive and still have issues. AVOID AVOID AVOIDAlso it's not freehold it's fleecehold. Your house WILL be passed to an estate management company and their fees are unregulated and uncapped so BEWARE. All these "brand ambassadors" getting freebies for positive content how about look after ALL your buyers equally

Dream experience!!

Been in our new house around 8 month now, I could not recommend the gleeson blossom park team enough! The service throughout was fantastic but the aftercare exceeded expectations! Micheal and gavin site team have been great. Only downside not having an emergency out of hours number like other builders however I’ve been informed this might change in the near future. Thank you gleeson for such a lovely home and experience!!

Surprised by the bad reviews

I have been really surprised reading the reviews about gleeson. From the first day we went in the sales office to the present day having been moved in two months, the service by Gleeson has been spot on. Had a couple of snags when moved in but these were fixed within 72 hours without issue. Would definitely recommend purchasing a house on Hawthorn Fields.
