Great Show houses experience!

I’m a first time home buyer who felt quite nervous/ awkward going to visit show homes however I had a fantastic time look around the gleeson homes All Saints site in Ferryhill, County Durham. The show houses were a good size and beautifully decorated for all the houses we viewed. The sales executive Adrian was super friendly, charismatic and incredibly informative in explaining how buying a property with Gleeson Homes works and the different home styles available at the site and others. Adrian made me and my mother who was with me feel really relaxed and was very helpful at explaining the standard house features and the optional extras that could be added for better design/ functionality without being too pushy about anything. The amazing customer service and general affordability of the homes has led me to definitely consider buying from Gleeson Homes in the future!

Stella was so efficient

Stella was so efficient. She explained everything about Gleesons so thoroughly. She was so impressive. She showed us over houses and gave us options of which house we liked. We had been elsewhere to other developments but nothing was explained properly. She showed us the maps and layout of the properties. She was so honest when she answered our questions. Right from the beginning of the process…

Right from the beginning of the process Mauricia has been very helpful,friendly and professional.with her support and professional experience we went through the process with ease. Bought our new home at Ousterley Woods Stanley Peter was fabulous from the start giving great advise and helping us through the process as it was very stressful for us as we relocated from the York area and jobs moved faster than expected . When we’re picking our extras that we wanted Peter gave some great advise on how to pick what we wanted regarding the colours for kitchen flooring ect and we have definitely not been disappointed the house looks great and feels like a home after just a few days .

Considered gleesons part exchange scheme for property at Whitehaven. We had a number of meetings and discussions with Julie Beck who represented Gleesons, for that development. Julie was always helpful, courteous, and would keep us informed of developments. If she was not able to advise us accordingly, Julie would find out and return with telephone call .we also had face to face meetings and again Julie was very professional.we give five stars for our experience with Julie.

Great Customer Service And Home

Non existent customer service

Me and my partner saw one of their properties on Rightmove with a rent to buy scheme, straight away we rang to hopefully get a viewing. We got one after 4 days of ringing for the following Saturday, to which they rang on Thursday evening to tell us Friday was a better day so we booked the day off just to not hear anything from them at all. We finally got a hold of them for them to tell us we will 100% get to view it at 2:30 on the Monday but we had the school run so would’ve had to sort child care so they told us they will ring us for 10am with a new time. We never got a phone call and continuously tried to call them to no avail, after several attempts I tried ringing on another number which they answered straight away on. We did in fact get to view the property after sorting childcare but only because someone else cancelled, the viewing was just us being shown where the house is by a builder and then being left to look round by ourselves with nobody there to ask questions. After all this we were still extremely interested in the house but never received a phone call or follow up… we then straight after viewing it saw that it had been taken off rightmove yet we were not notified till 3 days after we viewed it that it had been sold. Disappointed is an understatement wouldn’t recommend bothering.

Raul has been amazing in guiding us through the process, really informative and helpful and keen to assist with any queries we had. We have been regularly updated with the build progress and have been able to visit the site to meet the site manager and talk through the build. Our appointment began just 30 minutes before the office was due to close at 5pm, yet we were still there at 7pm, with Stella going above and beyond to show us around the properties and guide us through our reservation and choices.

As first time buyers we couldn’t be happier with our experience with Gleeson homes and more importantly the staff that made the process so smooth and enjoyable. We were regularly updated throughout the whole process by Emily and Dani at the sales office who were absolutely amazing and truly are a credit to the company. Atrocious company

We have numerous repairs outstanding, some repairs carried out by a so called handyman what a joke, tradesmen should be doing them, front entrance road a really bad design but gleeson blame road user, so called park wide open with no fencing to protect the children, and very poorly maintained, 2 drains outside entrance full of tarmac and overflow, rear garden has more rubble than soil and grass, I can't wait for the surveyors report and to Go to court, absolutely atrocious customer service, they want to put a tree outside to fulfill their obligation what a load of crap,

Dissatisfied

Before we moved into the new build house the process was amazing, if you emailed it would be responded to straight away, if you rang someone would always answer. Now that we have moved into the house we find it near impossible to get in contact with the sales team for stuff we are still waiting for and the site team. We are extremely disappointed in how things have gone since moving into the house. Big issues that we have brought up have been told they can’t be fixed. We have had so many issues / snags in the house. From the house demo, the snags we picked up on weeks ago still hadn’t been fixed and still not fixed when we moved in. The most recent one being the cupboard door falling off and damaging the oven hob. We have tried to keep an open mind about all these issues however starting to get really annoyed due to how many issues there is. It’s as if they have built the house as quick as possible with no quality or care. How this passed the inspection I never know. We have also been told by contractors that have been around to fix some of the issues that if it was their house they wouldn’t have moved in due to the amount of issues they can see. We haven’t been able to settle in the house yet due to the amount of things that need fixed. This is not a home, it’s still a construction site.
