I completed the purchase of my house in Dane Park, Hull in August 2020.On the final inspection I picked out a few problems that I could see, which I was told would be complete on completion on the 13th. Most of these works was not done, so we made a snagging list on completion day.The myglesson app was not sent to me, nor did I have any login information.I manually wrote this all up and sent it to the relevant people on email.I have had to chase the company many times to get the work completed and this still has not happened.The patio doors had scratches on the bottom of one door trim, which is pictured below. This was picked up on completion and has still not been rectified. This problem was attempted to be fixed by sanding it down, which I was appalled with and I am still awaiting an outcome. I replaced all the lights in the house to find that in the downstairs toilet that there is a big hole behind the light fitting, the hole is fist sized and I cannot fit a new light in its place due to the size of the hole. Firstly, I was told that they would use spray foam then just fill over it, which I told them no way. Joe from customer care advised me that this would be repaired properly. I am still awaiting this to be repaired to this day. Spoke to site manager on Thursday 26th November and he said there is nothing wrong with the big hole and it was acceptable. My house paintwork was in a poor state, living room ceiling was a mess and needed to be plastered.I got in touch with customer care and they arranged to visit my property.We went through all my issues and Joe documented this up.The painter/decorator came round to check the house and told me that to put everything right that he would need 5 days. He was given 2 days to complete. He started works which improved the house. There are still a few paint jobs that the painter did not get around too. Unfortunately, the mess afterwards was horrendous, I had paint on the back of my TV and on my units which where all brand new. This took me and my partner all night to clean up the house.One of the latest jobs where for the kickboards in the kitchen to be sorted as they are marked. I pictured this and they fixed the mark. The issue is they only fixed the mark that I pictured. The rest of the kickboard had chips in it and paint on it, but this was left and was told the job was complete as they fixed what the picture showed. This is what I was told by the site manager. This was my final straw. I pulled out the kickboards and put them in my front garden. Also, behind the Kickboards was a nice little mess the workers left behind.Finally, I come onto my last, but in my opinion the most important part, the issues with the majority of my door framesThe frames are a complete mess and on closer inspection you can see where the wood has been stuck back on and painted. This to me seems like a big job for all the frames to be fixed, but I would like the job to be completed professionally.Today 19th Dec I became aware that my fan in the kitchen was not connected.After weeks of waiting for things to be done and not having a response for over 3 weeks I am now seeking legal advice and posting to the public my issues so they can see for themselves what type of company Glesson are and how they deal with things.

Just to put it out there, We have been looking at the new housing by (Gleeson) from Abby Town to Whitehaven Cumbria. Julie Beck, we have met a couple of times and at different locations. We cannot fault Gleeson! They have been fantastic with us! We have a 4 bed house on Canal Walk Development. The house is absolutely lovely. The sales/support team have remained great and consistent throughout. The building team are also great. There were only a a couple of snags and they were quickly resolved. A couple more small things have popped up, but they’ve been straight round to sort them. We are very happy in our new home; it’s perfect for our little family to grow up in, with an amazing sized garden for a new build and we only have good things to say about our house and the whole Gleeson team! So thank you!

We’ve had a great experience with Gleeson! Very minimal issues with our first home at Sutton Heights, and any issues we did notice were already picked up on by Ian, the site manager, who seems to take real pride in the homes which is lovely. Richaella and Sean have been very helpful as well throughout the buying process. Can’t complain at all!

I have a new Gleeson Home at MacDonald Park. I'm extremely happy with the new home. From the day 1 when I visited the showroom, then choose my dream house, till now completion and get the keys, those sales staff are very helpful and responsible. I was kept inform the construction stages of my property, even during the lock down period.On the day of final checking, I had prepared some A4 paper to write down the defects, but at last, I didn't need to use it. Only 2 minor defects were found. The site manager fixed them all on the following days.The site manager is experience with patient to explain everything of my house in details. The sales lady Madam Sue is good, friendly and helpful.Perhaps, you may read many different reviews saying how bad Gleeson was. But you must browse the instagram, then you knows there are lots of happy faces whom with a Gleeson home. At least, you should visit the site and talk to those home owners, you know the facts. Finally, I must say thank you to Gleeson Home. They build the affordable nice new homes so that I can be one of the home owner.

The sales executive was very friendly, informative and helpful when looking and reserving my property. They also were excellent at keeping me informed of updates. They and the site manager were also very flexible in accomodation some specific extras I wanted. The resulting property was excellent. Obviously there are always snags but these were small in number. Not only that but they were resolved exceptionally quickly despite upcoming bank holidays. The site manager was very informative when doing a home demo and very approachable on any issues. Awesome.

Type of house is a 2 bedroom Kerry.I have lived in our Gleeson home for 18 months , and feel I am now in the position to give an honest review of my personal experience.The sales lady was friendly and approachable and not pushy at all. She supported us in making sure we picked the right home to suit our needs.The house was ready in the said timeframe.The site manager checked in on us regularly after moving in to make sure everything was going well with our new home.Of course we have had some snagging issues, which one expects in a new build, but these have all been dealt with quickly and everything rectified to our satisfaction, apart from one.We did have a problem with yellowing gloss paint work in our hallway, down to the lack of natural sunlight and the gloss used, this defect was declined under the 2 year warranty( yes I said 2 years).But we decided to gloss all the paintwork ourselves in the whole house. Rather than paint the internal doors we decided to replace them with oak doors. So on this occasion I am pleased the defect was declined as the outcome was actually more satisfactory.All of the tradesmen who we have had dealings with have been friendly, respectful of our property and efficient. I can not fault them.Pinfold Park estate has a welcoming community feel, everyone is friendly and all I have spoken to love their new homes as I do.Am I happy with my Gleeson home? 100%Would I recommend buying a Gleeson home? 100%

Trustpilot'Cold' personality
The lady (Karen based in Gleeson office in Sheffield, there are two Karens), who I spoke on the phone with was so 'cold'. It's been a long time since I felt so uncomfortable on the phone. Even if I did like the property I wouldn't proceed buying the house because of her. I can't imagine purchasing a house and need to deal with her. I visited one property a couple of weeks ago. Karen, did not bother at all. She just pointed me the house from her chair, she did not move at all. I went to the house and I thought it was locked so I asked for her assistance. The lady rolled her eyes, came at the door and says 'here, is open' and then went back to her office. I did like the fact that I viewed the house on my own pace to be fair, because, don't get me wrong, I would've feel so uncomfortable being in the same room with the lady. I have never given a bad review before based on personality but my experience with Karen was horrible. Such a cold personality, for me personally, she's driven me away.

I bought a house on the Greymoor meadows site in Carlisle. The process of purchasing the house was made straightforward by the sales woman Zara. When I moved in the site team of Trevor (site manager) and Joe (assistant site manager) were more then helpful with providing me a skip for my rubbish. I would definitely recommend buying a Gleeson home for the product and the service.
