I really don’t like to write negative reviews, and rarely do, but I’ve had a terribly disappointing experience with MA this week. I would like to thank John for his time and help when I viewed a property but outside of that I’m afraid I have nothing positive to add. There are times when you miss out on a property you want, I accept that, but I’m extremely dissatisfied about the way it was handled by the team. As always, there are two sides to every story, but, from my perspective, this has been a really poor experience.

From start to finish, Mark Antony set the bar for what I would expect from an estate agent. I was very impressed with what was included in the initial package - good photographer, many rightmove perks, reasonable estate agent fee. Then along the process, both Jodie & Helen were very helpful, informative and reassuring throughout. The house moving process is always a stressful time, but they definitely contributed to making it as seamless as possible.

Not a very good team of estate agents at all (though their incompetence meant I ended up getting my dream house with a different agency instead). They call you immediately after viewing a house to put in an offer, then play games with you (or encourage the seller to do so) and make you add on crazy amounts of money to the offer whilst playing you off against another buyer. They pretended to not answer our calls once we called to put in counter offers, and then blamed us for “not calling” (literally called multiple times on one day) and kept pushing us to add more money! It was an awful experience with them, causing us undue amount of stress, and I am glad I no longer bothered looking at their properties. In my dream house now so I guess it was good that they were so bad! 0/10 stars.

Useless, Indifferent Attitude

As an estate agent, you would expect at the very least to receive a professional approach and attitude from a company. Unfortunately, I found the team at Mark Antony to have an indifferent attitude combined this with inefficiency when making a simple appointment, which they failed to attend without giving me any notice. They also inputted my email address incorrectly. When I contacted them to enquire why they hadn't attended the mutually agreed appointment, I was met with a disinterested colleague who failed to show any concern whatsoever. I got the impression that it was all to much trouble for her. She informed me the manager would call me back. This never materialised until two days later whereby I had to call them for an explanation. I can honestly say my experience was an eye opener that proved beyond doubt that this company, who failed at simple tasks like inputting my email address correctly and failing to turn up for an appointment and also never returning my calls. Thank god I found out how incompetent and useless this company are before I entrusted them to act on my behalf.

Would highly recommend Mark Antony Estate Agents, professional, friendly service with great communication from start to finish. Fay made sure we got regular feedback on viewings, knew our property well and was always happy to help. Most of our tours were with John who was very friendly and knowledgeable. Once the sale was agreed Helen kept in regular contact with the buyers solicitor and our solicitor to make sure everything was moving forward smoothly. A great team that was a pleasure to work with. 1 out of 5 and they're lucky for this. Had a viewing booked10days in advance travelling 50 miles to see it with the day booked off work. Cancelled the booking with 2 hours notice. And simply asked " when are you next available" In those 10 days not 1 attempt to contact me saying the vendor changed their minds. Not 1 attempt to chase up with the vendor seemingly Atrocious

We were looking to sell our apartment as we needed somewhere bigger. We knew Mark from reputation therefore chose to go with Mark Antony Estates as we believed we would get a great service. The team went above and beyond, keeping us up to date, sharing in our pain when our first sale unfortunately fell through and picking our spirits back up with plenty of viewings resulting in a successful completion. I cannot recommend the team at Mark Antony Estates enough, they are very professional and always happy to help with any questions about the roller-coaster that is moving house. I'd not heard of Marc Anthony before our recent Letting but we were very impressed and have rented a property through them and because we were so happy with the service we received We have asked them to sell our house too. Our main contact was Katherine Faulkner Who was unbelievably on the ball , ahead of us all the time, spot on with e mails and true to her word on everything she promised. She made a very stressful time much easier for us and encouraged , reassured and advised us every step of the way. She was very efficient balanced with integrity and sense of humour and went to Great lengths to answer our questions and Find extra information we needed about the property. The whole process was smooth and unlike our previous experiences of having to chase agents and leave messages and wait and not know what was happening from one day to another. I think it’s always difficult to know who to choose when selling your house, it’s not a regular thing we do nor does your family and friends so a lot of the time it’s a personal recommendation or like myself a gut reaction towards the interaction you have with the agents you research. I wanted honesty, with honesty comes transparency, with transparency there is trust, and I found all three at Mark Antony. Everyone was consistent in their help, support and advice during the initial set up of my sale and indeed during our viewings and offers put forward and now as it comes to a close they are there with a helping hand to make sure everything goes well.
