GoogleWe bought a flat in Stirling off plan for our daughter last summer. Grant was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him. With his help, the whole process was one of the easiest property purchases we have ever done! I would have no hesitation in recommending the team to anyone looking to buy or sell in the area.

GoogleHave never experienced a more pompous and yet simultaneously useless estate agent in my life. I can only presume the time they’re meant to spend actually doing any work or following any legal frameworks has been spent jelling back their hair or picking out gawdy, ill fitting suits. The pretence of a “high end” estate agency is only that, a pretence. **always happy to edit. We had no issue with Safe deposit Scotland, and in fact the whole process made your employee’s seem even more inept. Perhaps it was the fact you missed entire rooms in your check in report due to the fact you use a 3rd party (something someone else has already complained about) Or perhaps it was that you claimed a professional clean had been done prior to us moving in in September, when in fact the clean had been done in January. Almost all the points made via deposit Scotland were proved to be false. Shall we also discuss the fact that Halliday Homes drew up the agreement of the previous tenant (and elderly lady) for the landlord, before he went and made her homeless, claiming the exact same thing about selling. Shall we mention that Halliday Homes then did act illegally by allowing another tenant to go into the property, lying to us until we learned the truth from our neighbours, about the same time the landlord decided that again he had to sell. Shall we talk about the fact one of your employee’s referred to me in a mysogynistic way as “ratty” when I complained it took 3 months to have a leak in the bath and toilet repaired. We could have stayed in the property but then we would have had to carry on dealing with yourselves as estate agents. Something I really don’t wish on anyone. So Austin, perhaps spend more time actually training your employee’s, or sending yourself on a customer service course, rather than desperately trying to phone me up to demand I take this review down without a hint of apology, or trying and failing to suggest I’m in anyway scamming council tax. After all, if you had phoned me up to apologise and recognise that things happened that you regretted, as they sometimes do, I would have been more than happy to amend this. Unfortunately all that is happened is I have had to further explain why exactly you are 1 star.
Hi Anna, We are very sorry to read the above review of our services, which is more of a personal attack at our employees rather than the service provided. We did call to discuss the review with you and discuss the issues you have experienced, but you hung up. Firstly, we would like to say that all legal framework is followed within the company by Scottish law. We can only assume that the 1 star review has come from the fact that the landlord gave you notice to leave on the grounds of selling, which you felt was an unlawful eviction. All official and legal notices were served which you confirmed receipt of, resulting in you leaving the property. If you felt the landlord was wrong, you could have stayed within the property to fight your case which you decide not to do. These actions and decisions were made by the landlords, not of Halliday Homes, and we had to follow our clients instructions. The landlord asked us to make a proposal of deductions from the deposit for rent arrears, cleaning, decorating etc.. which then in turn had to go to the adjudication team at Safe Deposit Scotland. Finally, we also found out from that Frazer moved out 2 months after the tenancy started which we weren’t aware of, this breaking your tenancy agreement. Also, can you confirm that you were claiming to be a full-time student to earn discounted rates for single occupancy, somewhat strange after your comments regarding our business? ** always happy to respond further Anna, We will refrain from responding to your review any further and take up further communication directly. Your comments, some of which are errors from a third party we have looked into but there some that are complete fabrication from the truth. We will reach out now but from previous correspondence you did not wish to talk and put the phone down during the conversation.

GoogleWe would highly recommend Austin and his team at both the Bridge of Allan office and Auchterarder office for buying and selling, having recently done both through Hallidays. We initially met with Austin and chatted through the selling process and valuation; he has a relaxed but professional manner which was a definite plus for us and he clearly had very good knowledge of the local housing market. Communication was excellent throughout. We were kept up to date at all times and everyone was always friendly, professional and knowledgeable and responses were always in a timely manner. Grant and Marie at the Bridge of Allan office and Zara at the Auchterarder office were brilliant. Hayley, the photograper who came to take the photos for our house sale was also brilliant and takes excellent photos. Overall, a first class experience selling and buying with Hallidays. A friendly, relaxed and professional team, which made what can be quite a stressful time much easier to manage. Great to see a local business doing so well! Please continue the good work.

Marie & girls in office handled our sale & dealt with purchase of new house - a real tonic to find such approachable & honest people who treat you like a friend! It was a long journey because the coronavirus pandemic cut right through the selling process. Despite the substantial challenges posed by the pandemic the team at Halliday's were brilliant. Getting the house onto the market was made easy by Austin, Marie and Grant, and they quickly produced superb marketing material. Perhaps because of the times we are all living through our sale posed its challenges and it was a roller coaster experience, but a quick call from Marie or one of the team at key moments calmed us down. They would be great as life counsellors as well as estate agents! They handled all the key professional interfaces very well and professionally.
