I am a current client of Aberdein Considine. The customer service is awful. I am going through a simple remortgage that they were instructed on back in January. no body answers the phone. It just rings out. instant message agents are unhelpful. Email is the only form of contact that I have been given with no success. I would not recommend that anyone use them at all.

Buying and selling a house can be such a stressful period in anybody’s life! I have now both sold and purchased properties through ASPC, Attika, Ahmed was the solicitor on both occasions! I cannot recommend her highly enough! Very professional, extremely efficient and was always available for any questions or queries I had. Fantastic service.

Amazing experience …I recently used Aberdein Consedine services for mortgage broker and conveyancing when purchasing my flat , the process was slick and communication second to none. Scott, my mortgage broker was very knowledgeable and understood my needs , the communication from him was timely and I had the added benefit of having my broker and lawyer under one roof. Amy and Morven assisted with the conveyancing side and I found them both to be extremely professional and answered any questions and concerns I had throughout the whole process. From mortgage application to getting the keys it was only 19 days. Amazing!!!

We had the displeasure of having to use this company when remortgaging our house, every single document they sent us we had to wait a week (sometimes longer) for return correspondence. On the final document- standard security which required a witness to sign as well myself and my partner, we filled out and signed as we had done with everything else, only to hear absolutely nothing for another week and then receive an email with said “secure document” returned to us stating that a signature was “illegible” not only did they send a secure document with all our details over it by email (not secure), they then didn’t tell us which signature wasn’t illegible so we had a 1 in 3 chance of guessing the correct signature. We explained at the start that everything was being done on a timeframe to avoid any potential double payments which would leave us in an extremely difficult financial situation. We knew it would potentially take time to complete, however we started the process in time to ensure a double payment wouldn’t happen. We then downloaded the form, filled it out again (with a new witness this time) and sent it back via email as there was nothing stating we had to post it. We then received a reply via email 1 week later stating that unfortunately we couldn’t send the document they sent us via email as this wasn’t “secure” and that it had to be posted. We then had to spend yet more money printing, scanning and posting (1st class recorded) said form so it was guaranteed to be received. We were then given a completion date of the 30/09/24 - all funds etc to be transferred, low and behold this was not the case and as of yet funds have not been transferred and yet again we are having to phone/chase up as we’ve had absolutely no communication detailing any delay. This service (if you could call it that) has been nothing but incredibly stressful, if I am paying you for a service I then shouldn’t have to chase you to do said service, I DO NOT recommend this company.

Trustpilot14 months for a Cohabitation Agreement which still hasn't been finalised
After 14 months I am still waiting for a basic Cohabitation Agreement to be written up and completed. I've gone through months and months of chasing the solicitor for this to be fobbed off with emails claiming they are busy with other aspects of their workload. It is disappointing as I had no problems having my Will drafted by them. I won't use Aberdein Considine for any legal services in future.

Aberdein Considine has done power of attorney for both me and my wife a couple of years ago and in September this year did Last Will and Testament for us both. The person we dealt with was Nichola who was very knowledgeable and helpful giving us advice which was extremely valuable in getting these legal documents done quickly. I have found this company to be very good and they have done all my legal work.

Having used Greig for the past 20 years, we have to say his service is excellent. We always receive documents on time to matters discussed at meetings. His advice has always been excellent and honest. therefore, we would not go anywhere else as used for previous home too. We would highly recommend Greig for all financial matters anyone would have.

This is the ONLY agency asking us to have "mortgage in principle" before allowing us to view a property. The mortgage adviser took very detailed personal information, including bank details, then disappeared. Avoid!Follow up: As I honestly thought the person must have left after several messages went unanswered for a month, I approached the branch staff who recommended him. Eventually after a final message to him and the branch staff, I received a confirmation that our personal information has now been removed. No apologies from the branch but the marketing department did call me offering an apology and hoping I could remove this review. Well I agreed to update the case but not to remove the review. Seriously, the branch (Edinburgh) behaviour leaves much to be desired!
