GoogleI just wanted to say a big thank you to Neil for sorting out a serious leak at my property and getting it fixed in time for my new tenants move in date. It really took the stress out of having to organise tradesmen myself, and I really appreciated being kept up to date with regular photos and updates throughout.
Also, a special mention to Elliot. It's always such a pleasure to speak with him! He’s so proactive, gets things done quickly, and found me a tenant in no time. Always friendly and approachable.

GoogleH&M Estate Agent helped us to sell our house. The journey wasn’t easy as property market is very unpredictable at the moment and we had very bad experience with different agent.
H&M used property file website to keep us up to date with viewing arrangements, feedback and potential offers. It was easy to follow and always accessible. Journey was not easy as all the way up to exchange we had issues with other parties involved. However, everyone pulled their weight and we have completed our sell and purchase.

We have just moved our mother in law who is 80 and the class, compassion, care and effort Neil and his team put in was first class. They made a stressful experience so much easier and communication and effort was as good as it gets. GoogleToday I was faced with yet another extremely rude member of staff by the name of Elliot, who had the audacity to enter the property that I rent and call me names to the surveyor that he was showing the house to.
Prior to the arrival of said member of staff, this establishment has been and were reminded that no access would be granted to my private bedroom ( I have repeatedly relayed this, yet continue to have to say it everytime).
This did not stop Elliot, not only knocking on my door at 9am...but after it woke me up, I panicked and scrambled to put clothes on and answer ..Upon walking into the hallway I was faced with this member of staff boldly telling the surveyor that
'oh I knocked and tried, She is in there but she is very difficult'.
This slander and defamation of character are completely unacceptable and I will be considering legal action as this is not the first time I have had to deal with being treated disgustingly by the majority of those who work at this establishment.
What I will say this though, there is a gentleman by the name of Robert who has been the only one to treat me with common curtesy and respect after a conversation we had where I explained my mental health illness and the impact that this companies actions and staff members has had on me, to which I am grateful for.

GoogleLet me start by saying I am a real customer and do not know anyone from H&M personally, from the first viewing to completion took 10 months, this is not usual and was due to circumstances out of my and H&M'S control, during this time peter and the team always remained professional, polite, and most importantly patient, I was always kept informed of viewings, and during the sale process I was always given information, potential time frames, and anything i required, I would 100% use H&M again and recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell in stevenage or the surrounding areas.

Incredibly grateful for all of his hard work, our many phone calls and email exchanges, the extra work he put in to make sure the sale went through in time. GoogleBrilliant service from Lee and Peter. Lee had shown my wife around the house the evening it went for sale which was brilliant and it worked out well as we offered straight away.
From then Lee and Peter arranged additional viewings at convenient times for us on a couple of occasions without hesitation. Once the legal processes started Peter kept us up to date on what was going on and was a pleasure to deal with.
Even when picking up the keys they followed covid guidelines and was genuinely happy we completed and wished us well.

They were responsive throughout and in guiding us through the sale process. We initially lost our first buyer after their buyer pulled out which was disheartening, but well managed by the team. Ultimately we were able to navigate these challenges and we had our buyer. GoogleThe WORST team ever!! They do not care about the health and or safety of their tenants at all, just money driven, thus leaving tenants to sleep on broken beds or floors in their 'furnished' properties. They are quick to collect rent, but slow to fix issues. When you move out, they charge an extortionate amount for a 2 minute check and key collection- is that even legal really? It does not matter how long and well you have kept the property, they never want to treat their tenants well as a good gesture. Even friends of mine have complained about the horrible treatment they received from this rude and condescending team, especially when it comes to tenants complaints. Yolanta appeared more efficient and caring however and pushed for things to be done. WILL NOT RECOMMEND HOMES AND MORTGAGES!!!

While we accept that tenants would sometimes like a different outcome we do pride ourselves on our service standards and delivering on our duty of care. GoogleAvoid this agency at all costs! Absolutely dreadful agents with no compassion or care for tenants at all. We complained of unmanageable mould in one of the rooms in our house resulting in us being unable to eat in the dining room due to the unsanitary conditions - these complaints were ignored even after many, many attempts to get help from the agency over a period of ~6 months.
Our deposit has also not been fully returned, with ‘damage’ cited that was already present (and recorded in writing in the inventory by the agency themselves) before we even moved in. Even with evidence that this was not inflicted by us, no action has been taken to provide us with compensation for the unfair deduction.
Rude and condescending letting agents - do not rent from this agency.
