Absolutely dreadful estate agents! They were not my listing agents but the agents of the property I was purchasing. The lack of communication, ownership of mistakes and overall professionalism from the team including the manager Becky is absolutely disgusting. The estate agents never relayed critical information back to the seller which finally resulted in the seller withdrawing the property from Sylvester. Providing further clarity to the below response from Sylvester which is lies from the off. Lack of professionalism from the team is a huge reason for the complaint which I raised....to which I have still not heard back from Becky about. When raising the complaint and stating my issues I was spoken to in such a disgusting manner and being asked 'so what exactly is the point of this' and being told 'this isn't our issue'. The decision was out of Sylvesters control however THEY did not pass on the information to the seller they were representing, which is very much their responsibility. Absolutely disgraceful. Good luck to anyone choosing to deal with this company.

My experience of estate agents in the past was not particularly good and I was expecting much the same in this move. We chose Sylvester because our sellers were with them. What I will say is Sylvester has been fantastic. Right from the start all the way through the process they have been there to ask questions and guide us through. So glad we chose to use Sylvester Properties to sell our home. Anna and the team were fab from the get go. Arranging photos and leading viewings when we were at work, which made the process much less stressful for us. We bought a house at the end of March (offer was made in middle of January) with Sylvester Properties and had been looking for a while before finding this one. Through out all the viewings we did with them they were incredibly professional and friendly and usually got us in for the viewings quickly. I dealt with Anna and Steve the most and both were really lovely and helpful. Steve took our offers and talked us through the process each time and Anna was always quick to reply to emails and would often check in with us on the progress of the sale when our solicitors were unfortunately being slow. We also got this lovely little welcome box when we picked up our keys, it’s a nice little touch on top of an already good service and helped us refuel after a couple hours of cleaning before moving in! I would recommend these over any other estate agent in Stanley as they were by far the most professional and responded to my emails and calls!

Bought from these a few years back just never got round to a review. Would never buy from them again. The listing of my property was filled with inaccuracies "numerous electrical points" were detailed for a study which actually doesn't have a single socket in it, therefore I've never been able to use it as a study. "Numerous electrical points" were also listed for the biggest bedroom which had one single socket... when I came to add more sockets I faced large costs of replacing the dangerous electrical board and getting an earth cable fitted as there wasn't one. Guessing that's why there were so few socket, just wish it wasn't lied about. I was never provided with the EPC which was out of date and I wouldn't have bought the house if I knew how bad it was. The seller told me this was something unimportant that cost £30 so I said it was fine, but the estate agent should've known it was a legal requirement and protected me from this. The floor plan measurements were all widely inaccurate as well. I emailed them about these issues and never recieved an apology or explanation. There was a load of other issues with the property such as the boiler had NEVER been serviced and didn't work, the shower leaked through the ceiling, the whole thing needed repointing and had damp. Unfortunately there was a mix up and it was only ever valued not surveyed, granted that's not down to the estate agent but to my mortgage provider. But those things in conjunction with the false advertising by Sylvester just made the whole experience horrendous and has cost thousands to rectify.
