I viewed a property with them. I was interested in buying, but needed some specific information before making an offer. They did not have it at hand, and would email it over to me. They didn’t. I chased them 4 times over the next two weeks, through email and phone calls, and they just told me they will send it, but never did, without that information I was not willing to make an offer so moved on. During that time the seller reduced the price. If you are selling - avoid them, from my experience they do not do the simplest of tasks to help you get a sale for the best price.

We recently sold our house in Blofield with Minors & Brady and we were very impressed from start to finish. Communication was excellent from the moment of first contact. The agents were polite, professional and reliable. We were very happy with the professional photos that they took, they were noticeably better than other listings. The photographer was thorough and wanted to showcase the property as best he could. Our house sold in approximately 3 weeks and the after sales team were incredibly helpful with chasing up the solicitors and giving updates. I would recommend and would choose to use them again.

A pleasurable experience…

Its been a pleasure to work with the team at Minors and Brady. Anya saw us over the line last week but I must also thank the team in the Dereham office for all their hard work. Communication has always been good from the initial valuation through to completion. I like the way M&B work, they are structured in such a way that specialist groups take over different stages of the process. What they do well is that when they hand over to a new team they come fully updated - no repetition required. One of the most important aspects of the sale for me was that they did every viewing - not something I have experienced before. Open, honest and capable organisation. Well done everyone.

All or nothing experience of estate agency. ..Part 1

If you want an all or nothing experience from your estate agent then Minors & Brady is for you! My experience of Minors & Brady began in summer of 2025 when I booked an appointment for a valuation. This all went to plan. I had another estate agent come out to do a valuation but felt at the time Minors & Brady had more drive to sell my property. I signed all the paperwork to put my property on the market with M&B and had the photos taken. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I then couldn’t put my house on the market. M&B were understanding of this, they said as long as I didn’t go with another agent in 20 weeks that was fine. I have to say they only called me twice in the next 6 months to check if I was ready to put my property on the market so I wasn’t hassled…however this is where the positive part of my experience mainly ends! In January 2026 M&B called me about putting my property on market. I advised I would be ready to do this beginning of March 2026. We arranged an up to date valuation appt for mid February. Again nothing seemed untoward at this appt. At the appointment I was given the option of putting my property on the market at OEIO £295,000 or £300,000 I picked the lower figure. We agreed a date for my property to go on the market of 02/03/26. I had two viewings booked within first week. After my house had been on the market 11 days (13th March) I received a call from the marketing department in Norwich directly, not from the branch my property was on with. The guy who called me was nothing but belittling and arrogant. After only 11 days on market he said my house was not getting enough clicks on right move , he dealt with over 1200 properties and I needed to lower the price on mine, if not it wasn’t going to sell in the peak time. He then compared my property to another 37 miles from my house in a completely different demographic area, who had lowered their price and apparently sold. I put my foot down and said it was only 11 days on the market and I was not lowering the price. He then tried to call me again on 26th March but I didn’t answer this time. This is another thing about Minors & Brady some of the staff including this guy would call, leave a voicemail and send a WhatsApp all in the space of 5 minutes. At the same time this guy from the marketing department was calling me to lower the price I was getting calls from the branch asking me to lower the price, even when I was getting viewings through the door. This was persistent. Unfortunately I have spoken to 3 other separate people since who all had their properties on with M&B and had exactly the same experience with M&B trying to push the price down every 5 minutes. This was all with different branches. I was firm on the price I wanted, mine was based on market research that a house just behind mine, exactly the same design and finish had sold for a particular price 3 months before mine went on the market. I appreciate the market prices can vary from day to day. I lost count of how many viewings I had booked for the property, often people did not turn up or cancelled at the last minute. I did have a party who had two viewings. After the first viewing I was told the people had questions. I spoke to 3 different people in the branch no one could tell me what the questions were. A week later when the agent turned up for the second viewing I caught him as I was leaving the house. He said one question the party had was what was the exact size of the garden. The agent said he hadn’t brought a tape measure with him and was going to guess using his feet! I then advised I had a tape measure in the house which I obtained for him. This party then put in an offer which I rejected as it was much below what I wanted for the property and wasn’t in line with other similar properties in the area. I continued in the first few months to get manipulated feedback around pricing of my house from M&B , saying viewing party’s didn’t think it was worth the price…well of course they didn’t as they didn’t want to buy my house! Also M&B were leading them into saying this by the questions they were asking. I reluctantly reduced the price of my property towards the end of May, this was mainly due to peer pressure from your agency and the stress of having to encounter constant phone calls around reducing the price. I finally got another offer from a different party once my property had been on the market 15 weeks, which with a little bit of negotiation, was the price I wanted all along…just shows if you know your own worth for your property hold out for it , if is it realistic to other properties sold in your area. The only other positive experience I had with M&B was dealing with the branch manager who when I did receive a sensible offer on my house dealt with the situation in a very professional manner, negotiated and got me the price I wanted.
