GoogleWe were very pleased with the service we received from W&B. Marcus attended for an initial visit and valuation and instilled confidence straight away, so we agreed to proceed and he took some amazing photographs including aerial ones with his drone.
Marketing happened quickly and we had dozens of viewings.
The market for our price band was slow but Marcus kept in touch and advised in strategy.
Jane and the other ladies in the office always kept us up to date with viewings and feedback and when we approached sale time they were actually more helpful than the actual conveyancers.
The only reason I dropped a star to 4* is because the in-house house-clearance and auctioning arm were, in my option, very expensive and on reflection I should have sold the furnishings privately.
But I would certainly recommend W&B Estate Agents and thank Jane and Marcus specifically.

GoogleTelephoned about a property they had on that had just come on the market and was told that they were only doing viewings at the weekend and I would need to call back on Friday to book an appointment. Telephoned on Friday to be told the property had already been sold yet nobody could view it until the weekend. Clearly not telling the truth. Why would you not let people view the property and see what the best offer is. Does not add up why you would do this. Surely you should look after the vendor and get the best price on the open market.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed.
To clarify the situation, the property was first shared on our social media platforms as “coming soon.” The very first viewer made an offer to the vendor. Based on the high level of interest and the number of viewing requests we had already received, our professional advice to the vendor was to continue with all scheduled viewings and potentially move to a best and final offers process to ensure they achieved the strongest possible outcome.
However, the vendor did not wish to proceed with further viewings and made the decision to accept the early offer.
We completely understand your frustration at not being able to view the property, and we do apologise. Ultimately, we must follow the instructions of our client, the vendor, even when this means cancelling other viewings.

Our solicitor was absolutely appalling and Tiffany thankfully recognised this quite early on and took it upon herself to be the communication between us and the people we were buying from, with her help, understanding and communication we saved a lot of time in the whole process, that would of otherwise been a confused mess of bad communication and mistakes and I dread to think what it could of cost us.

GoogleI found myself in the sad position of having to sell my mother's bungalow when she went into a nursing home. I do not live locally so used Rightmove to see which seemed the best local agent and thus contacted Whittaker and Biggs. Marcus Kirkham from W&B attended and we discussed my needs, which included a realistic price for the property as I didn't want it to sit empty for ages, and the agent to do weekly inspection visits. I was immediately impressed with Marcus who was both professional and practical, and I didn't bother seeing another agent.
The property sold and the proposed completion date became tighter than I would have liked, only a few days after returning from Australia. Marcus and his team organised the bungalow to be cleared for me and they also managed to find a cleaning company to work over the weekend to clean it for the new owners. I sent keys by post and everything went smoothly on the day of completion.
I don't think W&B could have done any more. They were an extremely safe pair of hands and I have no hesitation in recommending them. Thanks Marcus and team.
