GoogleOf my deposit, they took my £320 for "re-cleaning charges". (There are more deductions as well, but just read this). I asked for invoice. I was told "we may or may not clean. It is our choice". Based on contract, it says the house needs to be "professionally cleaned". And that's what we did ourselves. I have videos and photos. Then Antony Roberts deducted our £312. But now they say may not clean the property. Yet they love to deduct (steal) people's money. I knew they do not need to re-clean, because we left the property clean or only two things dusty or dirty. As of writing this review, after one and half month, Antony Roberts has not cleaned it. This is based on their email. How many other people they have cheated this way; or they are cheating every time? Disgraceful action, disgraceful people.

Mr Shamaal As Operations Director for Antony Roberts I am sorry to read of your disappointment with our service to you as a tenant of a property we manage on behalf of the landlord. Naturally I have taken the opportunity to discuss your comments with colleagues. Following the termination of your tenancy and receipt of independent inventory checkout reports with evidence therein, we submitted to you the landlord's claim upon part of your deposit. Following further communicatons you then confirmed by email your acceptance of the landlord's revised claim. The deposit was promptly released to accord with the agreement reached. It is after this that you raised a formal dispute through the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) which was rejected when evidence showing your acceptance of your agreement to the landlord's claim was presented to the TDS. An element of the landlord's claim upon your deposit, and agreed with you, was for professional cleaning. The cleaning works were delayed as the property was being remarketed but have now been carried out to take place, as is customary practice, just prior to the commencement of a new tenancy. We have followed this up with you to explain the above and have provided our Complaints Procedure should you wish to raise a formal complaint. Superb service, the team of Antony Roberts and our agent Francesca in particular were always extremely helpful and customer-centric throughout the entire process of finding a new home. Even though our case was a bit special (new job, moving to the UK from abroad, not UK citizens etc.), practical solutions were found and we are moving into a lovely new home now without delay!
