I travelled a long distance to view this property, only to discover that the vendor has no intention of selling it. It seems the listing is only being used to gauge interest, which is a complete waste of buyers' time and money. The estate agency has also handled this very poorly. Despite the property not genuinely being for sale, the listing remains active, attracting calls from many interested buyers. There appears to be no communication, no proper management of the situation, and no effort to remove the listing. I would not recommend dealing with this agency based on my experience. Buyers deserve honesty, transparency, and respect for their time.

Poor experience trying to arrange a viewing for Wood Street, St Helens. I requested an earlier appointment than the one offered. The reply was abrupt and unhelpful: “We hold a lot of corporate properties on our database we hold viewings for them on Thursdays, this is the earliest that I can offer.” No attempt was made to accommodate or discuss alternatives. Worse, a viewing confirmation was then sent without my agreement or consent. When I called the office, staff confirmed the email had come from them, yet it was signed under a different name (Lisa). As a potential buyer this felt rude and unprofessional. Basic courtesy and flexibility were missing. I would not recommend dealing with this branch based on this interaction.

Brilliant service, amazingly helpful and polite staff plus unlike alot of estate agents they accept council backed support, unfortunately no estate agent accepts this in the local area which made my move possible. Extremely understanding and willing to work with the client to help process the move and leaise well with landlords and difficult council workers due to me needing there guarantor service they offer. They helped and kept the property for me even though we had to jump though lots of hoops loops and delays. Extremely understanding and made me feel extremely happy, in terms of repairs, wow. I sent a email about a lose window lip and the next day a brilliant contractor came and did a great job, quick polite and extremely efficient. So great after sales as well, the last property with another private landlord / agent left me without hot water in the kitchen for 8 month so I was dreading asking for the repair and the next day, done. I would highly recommend this company and a hat tip of respect to the sales team. You can't teach nice unfortunately but these guys just are. Lucky and I feel to of stumbled upon a good agent, there rare, so in short, a rare unicorn of a business. Restored my faith that there are good people and good businesses. Thanks 👍.

Our experience when buying and selling a property we found was so stressful and traumatic, through no fault of our own or Ashtons estate agents, and while we where getting no contact or feedback from solicitors while this process was going on for over seven months and there was a danger or all three parties in the chain losing everything, during all this time it was adelle dutton from ashtons who kept kept things ticking over,often pushing solicitors and the process to get is all over the line,she is a true star and a credit to yours or any company, everyone needs an Adelle Dutton in their corner, she alwa ys went above and beyond in every way Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to her Lesley carr and Alan Davies

Ashtons Estate Agency are the best estate agents i have worked till date. They were quite professional from organising the viewing till completion of documentation. Documentation is all digital from agreement to insurance and you need to physically go one to the office only once for identity check while collecting keys. The oncall support has been quite great whenever we had queries and they were quite professional while dealing with us when we are quite anxious waiting for final decision on house. Overall 10/10 for service, 10/10 professionalism and 10/10 for Super good communication. Would definetly recommend , go for Ashtons Estate Agents, they are just great!

5 stars doesn't seem to do Ashtons justice. They've sold 6 properties for me over the last 2 years. Our house on new bold they broke the ceiling price for a house on the estate and sold within 2 weeks (£380k). The latest a 2 bed terrace in pocket nook had 8 offers in one day and went for 10k over asking. I've dealt with Jonathan, Adele, Nicola and Sinead who have all been amazing. Would highly recommend them if you want a fast, professional sale of your property with constant updates throughout the transaction.

We have been using Ashtons for over 10 years to sell our houses. We have tried elsewhere & failed, Ashtons really are the best in St Helens at what they do. Stacey and the team are brilliant, their knowledge of the local market is on point & they really do have their clients best interests at heart. We thought our latest sale was going to be challenging, as we were selling an empty house whilst we were in Australia. Ashtons took care of everything, they coordinated all of the viewings and we were kept up to date on email. The solicitors Stacey recommended we’re equally as efficient, again with updates on email. To our amazement, the day they put our house on the market, they also sent a couple round the same night who put an offer in there and then on the spot at full asking price. Not bad going really after just a few hours on the market. Due to personal circumstances, we recently decided to upsize again and so it was a no brainer when it came to choosing the right estate agent...it was obviously going to be Ashtons. From the initial call to get a valuation done and get the house marketed, to selling the property, it was all very hassle free. Once again they didn't let me down, the first family that came around to the house after a couple of days on the market, put an offer in that night. Although this fell through a couple days later the next 2 viewers that were sent around the week after, both put offers in that we were more than happy with. Despite a few niggles with the chain along the way (as with all house chains), Nicola was absolutely amazing in keeping us updated and also making the sale happen by liaising with buyers and solicitors etc... I cannot recommend Ashtons highly enough if you're looking at selling your property. Their approach has been both friendly and professional and in my opinion (having used various estate agents in the past) nobody else compares. If you want to sell your house fast...then use ASHTONS.....SIMPLE...

Very disappointing experience. We wasted time making an offer, only for it to be rejected almost immediately. The agent wasn't knowledgeable and couldn't answer our questions, making the whole process frustrating and unprofessional.
