The team at DJ Alexander have now got the best people dealing with everything from a tenant leaving to what needs to be done to ensure the next person has peace of mind with their new surroundings. I must make mention of Innes Donald and Mhairi Bain who couldn't possibly have been more helpful just recently, nothing was too much trouble and both kept me updated which was absolutely fundamental in getting my flat ready with not a great deal of time to spare - a big thank you for that.

As an honest tenant, we are already in a vulnerable position and look for someone reliable when it comes to finding a home. Stephanie McMillan, who was solely responsible in helping me and my partner find a flat was incredible at her job! We had a last minute act of god situation with the tenancy of a particular flat and the way she managed the situation and saved us from incurring damages was truly fantastic. She is very warm, friendly and amazingly helpful. We were very happy with her communication and organisation, highly recommend!

We are really impressed by the service we received from the team at DJ Alexander. Jill and Charlotte made the process so easy and straightforward. They were friendly and professional, explained everything clearly and made it so easy for us. Also, John in the compliance department was so professional and efficient in making sure our house was ready to let. He was also so friendly and helpful during the various work that had to be done. If I could give 0 Stars I would. DJ Alexander has been consistently poor in communication, they never provided us a permit for parking, despite being asked early in the tenancy. They provided an outdated electrical document at the start of the tenancy that I’m sure when it was updated was merely edited to look "good". The property itself had multiple lights not working when we moved in and they have been more than unhelpful in supporting us in moving out. They charge £30 for a reference which seems predatory and no other letting agent I have ever dealt with has done so. They refused to provide a reference after we paid this extortion as they claimed we had not given notice; we had a week prior. They have made every interaction difficult, and I would recommend people save themselves stress and money by not dealing with this company. They should be ashamed of how they treat people and have such a poor reputation in the city I must assume these 5* reviews are fake or paid for as I have never met anyone with anything positive to say about DJ alexander. Avoid at all costs.

GoogleSevere Mould, Neglect, and Unlivable Conditions - Avoid at All Costs Renting through this agency has been an awful experience. We moved into the property and found severe mould issues, filthy conditions, and broken fixtures throughout. I did manage to remove mould myself initially - I just could not stand it and agency was taking forever to fix it, but because of underlying neglect and damp issues, it is already aggressively coming back. Living in these conditions quickly began affecting our health. Agency's communication was unhelpful and dismissive. They failed to resolve the issues in reasonable time and repeatedly disregarded our tenancy agreement regarding notice and privacy. Because our health was being compromised and the property was essentially unlivable, we have already served our notice to leave early. Save yourself the stress, money, and health risks - neither tenants nor landlords should trust this agency to manage a home.

GoogleWe had an awful experience renting through DJ Alexander. The property was handed over in a condition we considered unacceptable, including recurring mould, and numerous maintenance and cleanliness issues. Despite reporting these problems with photographic evidence, we did not feel that our concerns were taken seriously. We were repeatedly told that the property’s condition was normal, that we should have identified these issues during the viewing, and that we could leave if we were unhappy. Discouraged by the time taken to investigate, the handling of our formal complaint, and our concerns about the potential impact on our health, we ultimately gave notice and decided to vacate the property. Based on my experience, I would advise both tenants and landlords to avoid this agency.

I let my Property through Dj Alexander and the company was able to find the tenant quickly. There was quite a bit of work required to turn around and there were some delays however Amy O'Neil, End of Tenancy Property Relationship Manager was able to take charge close the pending works. She also found that some of the works were not required and was able to adjust this with the contractor and we added value in the bathroom. All in all, good service

It caused us health issues, and despite contacting the agency multiple times, we ultimately had to give notice to leave to protect our health. Their communication and customer service are incredibly poor, and they even breached the privacy and access rules of our contract. I highly recommend landlords and tenants stay away from this agency unless you want a terrible experience where your health and privacy are not respected. We are renting a property through DJ Alexander and have had an issue with some of the locks within the property. We reached out to DJ Alexander through the emergency request option as it was a bank holiday weekend and one of their employees, Mhairi Bain, responded and had a locksmith out to help us with our issue really efficiently. The issue was resolved without any hassle and she made it super easy for us both. Thanks Mhairi!

Very happy with the real estate agent Cameron Lindsay - punctual, very responsive, polite and professional. All my questions and requests were addressed without any issues. The online interface (Goodlord) for signing the contract etc. is quite annoying. It suggests too many add ons and additional contracts, which makes for a cluttered, confusing, and frankly irritating experience. Tili integration is a nice idea but did not work for me.
