Aidan and Jack were absolutely fantastic. If I were to buy another property in this area in the future (or to sell my current one), I would contact JW&CO first. They have friendly, warm and patient customer service. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. As a person who has no understanding of house buying/conveyancing, Jack and Aidan guided me through the entire process. They kept on top of everything, and they were well ahead of me throughout: I didn’t have to chase them for information. When it was required, they worked very effectively with my financial adviser, like a small team. They also made it easy for the surveyors, inspecting electrician, and inspecting plumber to get access to the property. I highly recommended them. A massive thank you, Aidan, Jack and team!

Has some incredibly poor luck selling our house before we completed, but throughout the whole process Aidan was amazing. JW&Co were easy to contact, there was always someone answering the phone (which wasn't the case with some agencies we dealt with). Aidan would always get back in touch promptly (even messaging on his day off to keep us updated when we were close to exchange), and we never felt like we weren't informed of what was happening. His experience and reassurance kept us going when the the bottom of our chain collapsed, he listened, advised and addressed our concerns when we had them, and I couldn't recommend his services (and the services of JW&Co) more.

We Considered Ourselves Good Tenants, Unfortunately, That Wasn’t Reflected at the End We were reliable tenants throughout our tenancy, rent was always paid on time, the property was well cared for, and we even improved some of the external areas at our own expense. Any issues that arose were reported promptly and reasonably. The Good When we first took on the property, JW & Co. were helpful and professional. There was none of the usual rent bidding or unnecessary pressure, and the onboarding process was smooth. During the tenancy, communication was generally efficient, and any issues we raised were at least acknowledged, even if not always acted on. The Bad At the point of check-out, we were told the property must be professionally cleaned, despite this no longer being enforceable under the Tenant Fees Act 2019. Previous correspondence from us, including corrections to the original inventory, reports of maintenance issues, and agreements regarding items left behind, were ignored during the deposit return process. The landlord, via JW & Co., then sought to claim as much as possible from our deposit, as we had been warned might happen. Despite our willingness to compromise, the process felt unnecessarily one-sided. While this may not have been intentional, the experience left a sour note at the end of an otherwise unremarkable tenancy, especially disappointing after paying over £40,000 in rent. Ultimately, we were left feeling like problem tenants, simply for questioning deductions we felt were unfair. Caveat emptor.

I rented a property through JW & Co and had a very poor experience. The home developed severe mould, which affected both my partner’s and my health. I reported the problem several times and provided photos, but it took months before anyone responded, and the issue was never properly resolved. We ultimately had to move out for our own wellbeing and lost our deposit in the process. The whole situation was handled with little urgency or concern, and communication throughout was unhelpful. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend JW & Co to anyone looking for a professionally managed or safe rental property. Edit: adding a edit - the reply from JW & Co is factually incorrect. We raised severe mould issue in July, they refused to take action until November despite over 20 emails to them over a 4 month period. They bad mouthed the owner to us saying he refused to spend money on the house which is why they couldn’t help us yet when we moved out they told the deposit scheme the opposite.

JW&Co, in particular Jack, made the difficult process of buying a home, very straight forward. After missing out on a number of properties (due to our chain) with other agents, we had found “the one” after seeing just 2 houses with JW&Co. They went to a lot of effort to ensure we only viewed properties that they believed would suit our needs. Patient estate agent that always had our back!

Having rented our house through JW&Co for the past 20 years (from back when they were called Langleys), they were the obvious choice for selling our home. Ruth marketed the house well, took great photographs and the team were quick to get it on the market for us. Their commission rate was good too. Danielle did what felt like an endless amount of viewings and was always professional and clearly working on our behalf at all times. She became our main contact and grew to know our property well! When the offers eventually started to come in Danielle was helpful and patient! We eventually agreed on an offer, which Danielle again made sure was legitimate and not a time waster. She definitely helped us to get our sale to its final completion. I think we'd still be on the market if it hadn't been for Danielle's hard work and endless professionalism. We would highly recommend the JW & Co Park Street office team; Danielle in particular!

JW&Co have been helpful and pleasant to deal with. Jack was very helpful and honest during viewing and negotiating for the let on the property. Once I moved in there were a couple of things that needed to be sorted out and JW&Co were helpful in that respect, things did take a little longer than I would have expected initially but chalk it up to being in a pandemic situation and various contractor commitments etc. Lauren has been helpful with maintenance and other post move in admin too. I look forward to this service continuing throughout the duration of my tenancy!

The London Colney team are the best

The London Colney team are the best. Mark and Jack were great throughout my recent sale and purchase. They sold my property within three hours and made sure I was first through the door to get my dream home. It was not the easiest of sales but they kept me updated throughout the whole process and were honest, professional and friendly at all times. They also kept me sane during lock-down. This is my third move with this local Estate Agent and I think it pays to go local.
