The team at Truepenny’s East Dulwich were absolutely fantastic and made the whole experience smooth and professional. With particular thanks to Kyley who got the job done to sell our flat in no time at all, especially in a difficult market. The whole team who supported the sale were friendly, genuine and comprehensive in their knowledge. I would highly recommend to anyone considering a sale in the area!

What I appreciated most was his ability to balance professionalism with a great sense of humour, which made a real difference during some of the more stressful moments. GoogleWe don’t have enough words to express our gratitude to Connor and his team for everything they did to help us get through a very difficult time and a property sale for our family. We worked with them over the course of many months after we lost a family member very suddenly, and we had to solve multiple complex issues all at once, with which they were an invaluable resource and help to us. Our property sale had a very happy ending with a wonderful buyer and they took care of so many aspects of the property along the way to the finish line. We will be forever thankful to Connor and his team for their kindness, guidance and expertise!

Truly the worst service one could experience from an estate agent. John and Mariem were extremely unreasonable, obstinate and down right rude. Refused to request items from the landlord like removing furniture and allowing keys to be returned early at end of tenancy. Our boiler broke on one of the coldest days in winter and we had to quote the unfit for habitation act before they responded to my requests to send someone to fix.

Bought our first house with truepennys East Dulwich and it was a brilliant experience. As first time buyers, Trudi was always on hand over phone or email to answer our questions. Trudi was extremely helpful during the whole process, and when we had some issues she made sure they were sorted instantly - very excited 10/10 would recommend.

GoogleWe found our house for rent through the Truepenny's Dulwich branch, but Michael Turner and the team at the Peckham branch truly made it all come together. From start to finish, the process felt quick, smooth, and very well supported. Michael and the team were incredibly professional, kind, and genuinely caring, always taking the time to answer our questions and guide us through each step. We felt in very safe hands throughout. A real team effort, and we are very grateful.

GoogleOur experience with Truepennys was unnecessarily stressful and unpleasant. Our lovely flat sold on the second viewing so that side of things was straightforward, we dealt mostly with someone called Connor who was great. The trouble for us came when the buyer’s father made an arbitrary and legally baseless claim for some kind of indemnity insurance and an altercation to the lease, allegedly at the request of his daughter’s mortgage company. Despite us agreeing to pay for a clause to be added to the lease, and later to pay for the requested insurance, this held up proceedings for an extended period of time until they eventually dropped the demand when asked to provide proof of this need by the leaseholders’ solicitor. Instead of the agents acting as a buffer to this man’s incessant phone calls and demands for movement, the pressure was very much passed on to us. It got to the point where we felt pestered by agents Trudy and Wallace who it felt like were working for the buyers instead of us. I would be filled with dread when I could see them calling. When we finally got to exchange, Trudy rang and tried to put pressure on us to move out within a couple of weeks saying that our request to complete in 6-8 weeks was highly unusual. It felt like there was no compassion for the fact that we had a young baby and had been messed around by the buyer for so long that we could not put other plans in motion sooner. Even on completion day, Trudy was ringing to interfere in the logistics when this was being handled by the solicitors, as is the proper and established legal practice in these matters. The pressure put on us didn’t make things go any faster but did make them extra stressful.

GoogleI would like to say a massive thank you to Sophie and everyone else I had to deal with at Truepennys throughout my tenancy .They’ve always been very professional and helpful,every time we had an issue it has been reported and dealt with in no time ,also as we are in a process of buying our first home we’ve been given all the time we need to complete it before we have to move out which makes things so much easier considering how stressful this process is and I very much appreciate that .I would highly recommend them .

We’ve recently bought a house with Trudi and she has made the whole process as easy and pleasant as possible which is a rare thing these days! She was always been on hand to answer any questions and requests we had (and we had a lot as first time buyers!) and she really pulled it out in the last few weeks before exchange when multiple issues came up last minute. Would highly recommend her and the rest of the Truepenny’s team!

Valencia is one of the worst consultants I have run into. She is currently the property manager in our flat; she is unresponsive to our emails about repairs, blames us for bringing these issues to light, and will take no accountability for her own actions (or inactions). Our dishwasher and washing machine were not working which we noticed immediately upon entering the flat. We logged these issues on the platform Truepenny’s requested. These issues were then ignored along with our repeated emails. We had no choice but to contact their contractor directly. We were then reprimanded for doing so. Valencia was on holiday so didn’t respond for weeks and then was unapologetic about the fact that nobody helped us in the mean time and proceeded to be super rude and condescending on the phone (shocker!!!). Would not recommend.

This is the worst property agent I have ever seen. The advertised rent was 1,650 pcm. However, the agent tried to negotiate with me to uplift £50 because they say it's instruction by the landlord as the property is very popular and there are 8 viewings are scheduled afterwards. I unwillingly uplifted £25 and it's agreed. Then, there was another problem. The agent say its earliest move-in date is 2 weeks after acceptance of the rent by the landlord which is never explained and mentioned in the advertisement which confused me a lot. I need to get in the property as there was time limit and my wife strongly wanted to move in to the property. But to be honest, I really hate this property agent. I'm already planning to move out from this property.

GoogleI would caution against going with TruePenny’s. We experienced poor service from start to finish, a lack of compassion and very slow action. We moved in with several faults; broken chairs, fridge did not hold temperature, temperamental oven, unhinged toilet. The blinds snapped off the main living room and was not fixed for our entire tenancy. Despite multiple correspondence on the fridge, this was not escalated and I spent lots of additional money as produce went off - no one cared. All in all, avoid! There were no rent reductions in spite of the numerous issues. Really awful and not the level of service you would expect for the rent.

GoogleI'm glad that we chose Truepenny's to sell our home in East Dulwich. It was a difficult decision to sell after living here for 22 years, but the understanding, patience and support shown by Connor and Alex was really appreciated, in what was an emotional time for us. Wallace helped through the exchange and completion, , and he was always on hand and extremely understanding. The helpful, professional and empathetic style of them all, together their personable manner made such a difference to the whole experience and I really felt they cared about what we were going through.

GoogleI had a great experience renting with Truepenny’s Dulwich, and I particularly want to highlight Chris and his team. From day one, they were responsive and professional. At the start of the tenancy, there were several issues to address, but these were resolved quickly and to a high standard. Whenever a problem arose, Chris took ownership and handled it promptly. I also want to acknowledge the several occasions Chris arranged for help maintaining the garden, this was incredibly helpful. The contractors he assigned were always friendly, skilled, and respectful of my home. The checkout process was also seamless. I highly recommend Chris and Truepenny’s if you're looking for a stress-free rental experience.

GoogleI rented my property out through Truepenny's and whilst the experience at the beginning to get the contracts drawn up etc. was quite slow and last-minute, throughout the actual management of the tenancy they have been brilliant. I recently had to regain possession of my flat due to a change in my personal circumstances and Myra in particular was incredibly helpful and patient with me during a difficult time, which I thoroughly appreciated. Would definitely recommend Truepenny's for anyone looking to rent out their property in the area!
