We have done a few viewings with Edward and he has been very responsive throughout the whole process. Called straight away when enquiring about a few houses and managed to organise viewings in the next few days. He is clearly very knowledgeable and trustworthy, and seems like he really wants to find the right house for you, which is lovely! We haven’t found what we’re looking for yet but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time, thanks Edward!

We recently used Dexters to sell our house in Nunhead. Liz was our agent from start to finish however we regularly spoke to other members of the team. They were fantastic at every opportunity and made sure that we were always in loop regarding next steps. While we were away on holiday, our initial buyers pulled out which could have been a disaster however Liz had viewings arranged within 24hrs and a new buyer lined up in 36hrs. Outstanding and highly recommended.

We recently purchased a house and Dexter's were representing the sellers. We were first time buyers and the house was a probate property in need of renovation so it was not as straightforward a process as some house sales. However our agent Luca was very helpful, approachable, patient and transparent and always available for advice or to help get information we needed. It was so helpful having someone reliable and competent we could touch in with throughout the process, who would help move things forward when necessary.

Proactive communication and empathy

Proactive communication, empathy and transparency are three core values I have seen demonstrated at Dexters. I have rented a home through them for nearly two years, and they have stood out as property managers that actually care. Most recently, Daragh Power has impressed me with their kindness and genuine care. I had two requests of the landlord, one that would require a change to my contact, and Daragh was AMAZING at listening to my needs, understanding the time sensitivity and following up with the landlord when we didn’t receive a response right away. They could have deprioritised my concerns or have gotten upset with my persistence but instead they understood where I was coming from and really advocated for me. This is exactly what one would want from a property manager, but is something I find is rare, especially in a ‘landlord market.’ Daragh communicated professionally throughout and made the entire process stress free. I wouldn’t choose another property manager besides Dexters.

We just completed our first home purchase with Dexters and we’re extremely grateful to Cos for making this process smooth and as stress-free as possible. It just so happened that the very first place we saw is the one we went for, and that’s mainly because Cos understood exactly what we were after and managed to show us a few places before it went on the market. While the process took time because of a few factors out of our control, Cos was extremely diligent and communicative, which helped us a lot throughout the process. The wider team at Dexters was also great to work with over quick calls and when we went to pick up keys. I’d recommend Dexters Peckham Rye to anyone looking to move to the area!

Vote for worst estate agency of the year

This review is in particular for Dexter's Lee.If you think all Estate Agents in Lee are the same,then Dexter's Lee is definitely different. very different,in fact they could contend for the worst estate agency in England. I would highly recommend to anyone buying or selling through Dexter's Lee to contact me. The team, and in particular the sales team are money oriented. They will provide all sorts of distorted facts to make you list their property through them and whilst buying ,all sorts of lies without any moral conscience will be told. Their costs are higher than other than other estate agents who provide a far more personal service. This agency strives on the Dexter's brand but having dealt with Dexter's in other parts,I can easily vouch that they are the worst and most unprofessional. Please do your research before listing your property,buying and even thinking of renting out through them. They will completely ignore any of your requests or their duties as long as they can make their commission. As stated I am ready to help and discuss in more detail on why to avoid this agency

Dexters Hampton - Shocking Service for 7 yrs

Dexters Hampton has been the agent for our lease of a large 5 bedroom home in Hampton for the last 7 years. Apart from a few months when Kim S was responsible, the “service” has been shocking for the entire period - 7 frustrating years. It was so bad, that in desperation we ended up engaging the landlords directly and sourcing service providers ourselves. We terminated the rental on 31 July and have still not received our deposit despite the legal 14 day requirement. As usual, zero communication unless we follow up and chase the staff.

---"I had a profoundly disappointing experience with Dexter Lettings Agency in Clapham South. From the outset, the service was lacking in professionalism and transparency. My initial inquiries were met with delayed responses, and when I finally managed to speak to someone, the information provided was often unclear or incomplete.The problems only escalated once I signed the lease. The property was not in the condition promised; there were several maintenance issues that were either ignored or inadequately addressed. Despite numerous attempts to contact the agency for repairs, I received little to no follow-up. The lack of urgency and responsiveness was frustrating and unprofessional.The final blow was the handling of the move-out process. I was charged excessive fees for minor damages that were either pre-existing or were the result of normal wear and tear. The communication during this process was particularly poor; I had difficulty reaching anyone who could provide a satisfactory explanation or resolution.Overall, my experience with Dexter Lettings was marked by poor customer service, lack of accountability, and hidden fees. I would strongly advise prospective tenants to look elsewhere for a more reliable and customer-oriented letting agency. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I cannot recommend Dexter Lettings based on their service."

Monika is the only reason for the 5*'s rating

I don't usually write reviews but credit is overdue - Monika Piszczyk - property management - is the ONLY reason I am giving Dexters in Hendon 5*'s. She is someone who actually listens, cares about people and gets things done as soon as something arises!! Monika always goes completely above and beyond and has helped us with so many things in our flat that we have had problems with for YEARS that Dexters knew about but was left and unsolved - for example a mould issue within the flat - which was only taken seriously when we spoke to Monika. Multiple other problems have happened & I can hand on heart say Monika is the only person working in Dexters that we trust 100%! I have been with Dexters for years now and the only ONLY time things have been sorted, documented, updated and taken seriously was when Monika contacted us and became our property manager - before this it was a complete circus and if I went into detail about everything that went wrong, unseen to etc, it would take up this rating entire page!! Monika is an absolute asset to your company and I am not even joking when I say she deserves a payrise for dealing with so many things and being such an understanding person in every scenario because without her, Dexters is an actual joke. Thank you Monika for always helping us and being someone who is genuinely reliable and kind within that company, I really hope they value you and what you do for other properties that you manage.

Dexters have been excellent in the process of me moving flat. Charlotte Rule showed me some amazing properties covering exactly what aspects I was looking for. Once I found a flat I loved Charlotte was exceptional in making the signing as smooth as possible though quick responses to any questions I had and making this as seamless as possible. Daniel Faulkner is a great property manager as he was quick to get in contact with me to ensure I had all the information I needed coming up to moving day. Both Charlotte and Daniel have been highly professional and had excellent communication skills making moving flat a much less stressful experience from what I had expected. Thanks to you both! Dishonest and a complete waste of time

Phoned to enquire about 4 different properties listed on their website. All 4 have apparently "recently accepted offers" despite none of them being listed as "under offer" on Dexter's website.Megan told me the sellers asked them to keep the properties as avaialble in case their agreed upon sales fell through. As a buyer, it is a complete waste of my time looking at properties that aren't actually available and that have already been sold. How am I meant to work with an agency that displays a complete lack of regard for its clients or their time?Buying a home is usually a significant decision in the purchasers life. Being dishonest from the outset is not a good way of establishing trust and this makes it almost impossible to use Dexters for my property search. I would advise sellers to bear that in mind when making the decision about who they want representing them and the buyers they are potentially losing out on as a result.I'm am sure that Megan is an excellent agent and I hope that one day she wakes up to the unscrupulous practices Dexter's employ and recognises that these are actually detrimental to hers and her clients relationships and (as a result) her long-term interests.

Dexters took my flat in march.Despite good Communication weekly they failed to gain any offers.Their strategy seems to be , for you to keep reducing the price.I appreciate the market is tough but to get a call saying we do not want to sell this flat anymore left me flabbergasted.Clearly must look bad on their stats!They have removed my listing without any notice period at all.Such poor service from an agents that claims to be one of the best.Poor customer show from George and the team at the twickenham sales office.
