I purchased a property with Dexters…

I purchased a property with Dexters Westbourne Grove recently and the general experience was a nightmare for both myself and the agents. I worked with Charlie who was FANTASTIC - he actually managed to save the sale at one point through amazing negotiation skills. I feel like Charlie went above and beyond to get this deal through and he kept me up to date regularly even outside of office hours which I was extremely grateful for. When the time comes to sell this property I will be calling Charlie specifically to handle it :)

Worst experience with the agency

Worst experience with the agency, I decided to move out the apartment earlier because living conditions were unbearable. As such early tenancy move outs require a penalty, I was told by an agent a sum and that it is a fixed amount regardless if they will find a new tenant or I will, the total sum stays the same.Come to find out 2 months later that this in fact was not true and I could’ve saved almost 2K if I found a tenant myself. Agent was denying ever saying those terms to me to the point it was easier to pay the sum than start the negotiations with big agency. Would not recommend to use them or be very careful with every communication and have it crystal clear via emails.

Superb Team at the Tooting Branch!

The Tooting branch have been excellent from start to finish with the sale of my Grandmother's house. It was a very tough period of time for myself and had felt very daunting. From the day I met with Gaz and worked through the sale alongside Esta and team they have been so supportive, professional and all round superb. The team are very down to earth and provide an excellent service. Esta has been fantastic and kept me up-to-date at all stages throughout, which made this process a smooth transaction. Highly recommend the Tooting team

They just don't care

Everything was fine and then we moved in. Loads of issues loads of non working or non closing doors. The fridge that was supposed to be replaced has never been replaced. All the emails have been ignored and no maintenance work has been done. Leaking roof makes living in 1 room impossible but the emails are being ignored. Calling them you only get a question how bad is it??? What do you mean how bad is it??? So for over a year there has not been any help from them. But they expect you to jump as soon as they need something. I hope its only this branch that is so incompetent and others are better.....

Avoid!!

Avoid!!Our buyer is selling their property through the Shoreditch branch and I am very disappointed with how this agent is handling the transaction. There has been a problem with their property being unregistered, which is causing huge delays and a lot of upset in the rest of the chain - as we have all been ready to move for over 5 weeks now. Yet no one from this agent appears to care or want to act proactively help move the transaction forward. I'm starting to wonder if anyone at this agent even has a clue what's going on or what they are doing.

Well what can I say? I had originally written a poor review, because I had been told incorrect feedback which I thought was prejudice towards disabilities. But I have to say, my faith has absolutely been restored by the Surbiton branch. I'm giving 5 stars to the branch, but in particular to one agent especially, Codie Haddon. What an asset, not only to the branch but also to the industry.To say she has gone above and beyond to help us is the understatement of the century. She's worked tirelessly to close a deal for us and without her help, I have no doubt we could have become homeless and I am disabled.In general I have had a good experience with Dexters. Had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Joseph Kwaw to arrange a new tenancy. Top service from him, and helped with all ours needs from viewing through to getting the keys. Pretty sure he’ll be round for a pint once I’ve moved in!Dexters office in general were great helping if Joe was in another call when I phoned, so I can’t recommend them highly enough.
