I sold this property as executor to the estate of a late friend. However I live in County Durham some 324 miles from Southsea and was concerned that I would have to arrange everything remotely. I engaged Lawson Rose and, from the outset, they made me comfortable that they would be able to deal with any local issues that arose. They offered sound advice and guidance based on their in depth experience and knowledge of the local market, and kept me appraised of progress with their highly effective communications. Where they really stood out was when we needed to take action and engage contractors to resolve some issues that were hampering the sale. Lawson Rose arranged suitably qualified contractors and were crucial in bringing the sale to a conclusion. I do not think I could have received a better service anywhere else locally, and certainly not from an online estate agent. Overall I thought their service was outstanding.

We bought a property very recently through Lawson Rose. Ryan, who initially showed us around the property was personable, helpful and polite. We put in a couple of bids for the property through Daniel, who is one of the senior agents. The second bid was accepted but we quickly realised that he misrepresented our bid by adding an extra £1k. When we pointed this out to him, he apologised, accepted responsibility for the mistake and said he’d sort it out. He didn’t! And the following day then went on to say the vendors probably wouldn’t have accepted our second offer anyway. We also arranged with Daniel for him to give us a second viewing (we saw him write down details of this), after our misrepresented offer had been accepted. He didn’t show up! No apology this time either. Obviously at this point we were very fed up and had completely lost faith in Lawson Rose. We were then passed on to Emma who gave support if needed during the rest of the buying process. Like Ryan, she was great. When the solicitors seemed to be dragging their heels, she was quick to chivvy them along and she certainly expedited the process. It really should have been a straight forward, simple sale as we were cash buyers and there was no chain. Unfortunately Daniel really seemed to be completely unable to accept fault and give any real apology for his very unprofessional conduct. However both Ryan and Emma were extremely helpful 9.8.25 We acknowledge Daniel’s apology after we posted a public review, however we would have appreciated this written, fulsome apology far more if it was done at the time the events happened. At the time we received a very short verbal apology and then excuses. We felt the issues were quickly dismissed by Daniel. We also haven’t received any offer of recompense, not even a token gesture which would have gone a long way to ameliorate the situation.

Definitely give them a go. Took a while to sell, but that is down to a mini budget crashing the housing market as soon as we put the house on the market. Good communication throughout. Once the sale was agreed Emma was remorseless in chasing up the buyers solicitors (who were to be fair beyond useless) and ended up doing their job for them. The whole team friendly and professional throughout. Thoroughly recommend. They even planted a tree for us on completion!

Lawson Rose were professional, efficient and had a great eye for detail in all aspects of the house sale. From the first meeting with Liam, who fully understood what my aims were, to superb photography by Daniel, followed by timely house viewings and sales with Ryan and Steve. Each individual came together as part of a strong team to make the process easy to follow and to allow the house to achieve its full potential. However, special mention has to go to Emma, who is diligent, patient, hugely knowledgeable and ensures that everything possible is done to maintain a smooth process. Emma carries this out with a good dose of humour, excellent relationship management (seller/buyer/solicitors) and an unflappable commitment to the end goal. I wanted to use a local business for my house sale and the care that Lawson Rose applied was second to none. Would highly recommend them.
