I’m currently going through the process of renting one of the properties through Martin & Co Southend and I wanted to leave a review to recognise how fantastic my experience has been so far. In particular, Anisha has been absolutely brilliant. She has been prompt, patient, caring and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. She has always responded quickly to my questions, taken the time to explain everything clearly and has made what could have been quite a stressful process feel incredibly easy and straightforward. She has always been approachable and understanding and I’ve never felt like I was a nuisance for asking questions. I think it’s really important to recognise exceptional customer service when you receive it and she is genuinely a credit to Martin & Co. I’m so grateful for all her help and for making the process of renting my new home such a positive experience.

I have used this company for nearly 16 years (originally Fox Property) and they have looked after myself and my house very well. Rent is paid on time and any disputes are resolved in a timely manner between myself and my tenant. Everything is kept in a very good state of repair. They really do take the stress away from renting out your property. Thank you for a first class service, I would definitely recommend.

What can I say except EXCELLENT customer service and care! We had a nightmare with other agents and along came Martin & Co who sold our property at half the price other agents were charging but with twice the service! Seriously do not hesitate in listing your property with them - you won't regret it! Special thanks to Charlotte Crane who was there every step of the way, who gave up her spare time to see the sale our old property and purchase of our new property through to completion. This can be one of the most stressful processes, but she continuously reassured us and was always available no matter what question/concern we had. Also Gayner who handled the viewings and initial sale was absolutely fantastic in negotiating the best price for our property and was excellent at getting viewings booked and acquiring feedback - this made the sale really smooth and stress free. Reece was an absolute pleasure to work with. As a busy and passionate investor, I’m very selective about who I deal with, but from the moment I walked into his office, Reece stood out. He was professional, courteous, friendly, and somehow managed to secure me a fantastic investment deal on the very first day we met. What a guy and what a result for us. The conveyancing process was far from straightforward. There were complexities on both the seller’s side, which Reece was representing, and our side as buyers, especially given the property’s history and the plans we had moving forward. But Reece handled it all with patience and total understanding. He chased every key milestone professionally without ever making it feel like he was hounding us, which is a rare quality in this industry. We used Martin & Co to market our property. Right from the very first visit, Reece was very professional and friendly and gave us honest feedback on our property and the current market. Reece discussed with us that he wanted to take a variety of photos of the property to show it off as well as a virtual tour. We were blown away when we received copies of the photos as they were absolutely fantastic. He really captured the property and all that it has to offer. Throughout all the viewings Harry was extremely professional and had all the knowledge on the property for any questions that the potential buyer had. As a vendor, when you’re eagerly waiting to hear how the viewing went, we really appreciated the prompt feedback that we received via email within an hour of the viewing as well as a follow up call the following day once he had spoken to the viewer. We received an email from Harry one day asking if it would be ok for him to visit the property to complete a video tour for their social media, which we agreed to. We were absolutely shocked at the high level quality of this video and were eager to see it on their platforms. It really showcased our property. A brilliant addition to their marketing. A special touch that we really appreciated was how the team would communicate via text with us to book a viewing in or ask any questions, or give feedback. A quick, simple, professional yet friendly text message was perfect. This even worked both ways, I would sometimes send a quick text to Harry or the team of an evening when I sat down and would always get a reply first thing in the morning. I understand that this might not be for everyone, but for two busy people with a busy work life, a quick text was absolutely perfect for us and we really appreciated that. If we ever had to talk about anything in more detail they were always at the end of the phone. It really was the best of both worlds. We were recommended to Martin & Co by a member our family and whilst we believed they were predominantly for lettings, the team really do need some recognition for their sales department. They really do stand out from other, more “popular” agents out there. We had full trust in every member of the team at Martin & Co and can not fault them one little bit. We would happily use Martin & Co again in the future if/when we come to sell again. Highly recommend!!

A shambles of a company. They take forever to reply to requests. Give you no evidence of what they are accusing you of all seems to be get as much money back off the tenant for the landlord. I never missed a payment was very good tenants repainted 3 rooms and got the house cleaned prior to leaving, and still they say it needs an end of tenancy clean. I'm just glad I took photos before I left . I will be complaining to the ombudsman Update As we thought, the lies told by Martin and co have become apparent, and we have got our deposit back. Do not trust these cowboys they will try all tricks to keep your deposit from you. Win for the little guy here.

I was recently looking for my very first apartment and viewed a property managed by Martin and co. I was first met by Inigo who was a fantastic agent who made sure to show me everything about the apartment and also squeeze in quick viewings of other apartments which was a last minute request from me. Very friendly and conversational which definitely made it a lot easier to work through the process. I left very happy with the property and over the coming weeks everytime I had a question Inigo was at the end of the line there to answer. After being accepted for my studio flat Rhiannon, Leanne and Gaynor were there to support me from referencing to random questions I had about renting due to it being my first time. All 3 of them were and continue to be so patient and I'm so pleased I got to deal with an agency who not only has the best interests of the landlord in mind but also looks out for the tenant to make sure all is in place for the move and there after. I can't recommend Martin and Co enough if you're a tenant looking for a home and I can only imagine landlords must be over the moon with them too! Nothing is ever too much for the whole team there, even when things go wrong they are super prompt to make sure problems are rectified as quickly as feasibly possible. I have had Martin & Co as my letting agent close to 25 years now. As a long term tenant I can honestly say they have been brilliant. My main dealings over the years has been with Rose, Gaynor and Laura. All three are a credit to the agency. All correspondence, mainly by email or telephone has been dealt with quickly and professionally. I have always been greeted with a smile when coming face to face with the team. When the property I rent is due for inspection I am notified beforehand, so if I need to change the date due to work commitments, they accommodate the best they can. On all inspections they have shown the utmost respect to my late, disabled mother, who use to reside with me until a few weeks ago. Over the years my landlord changed agents. I was not happy with the new agent and so I contacted Martin & Co. They went out of their way to find me suitable accommodation in the area I requested. That was 15 years ago and I have absolutely no regrets. I would highly recommend Martin & Co to anybody who is looking for a professional, and caring agent.
