GoogleMostly a review is written post the event however I wanted to share mine now, my sale fell through recently of which has been fairly exhausing and upsetting, however on a lighter note I was so pleased with the support and caring manner from both Elliott and Nathan at a time when i felt pretty burnt out. This review is so i can write a big thank you to Home for your continued support and commitment 🙌 I will continue my journey with Home and have every faith in this estate agent, whatever the outcome I have been considerably satisfied with every effort made on my behalf. GoogleI used Home for a rental property, the onboarding process was simple however when I came to exit the property, this in my opinion was where they fall short of decent standards expected from any estate agent, I was called one day to be told the landlord couldn’t afford their mortgage, whilst I understand this is happening across the country, better checks and a much more stringent financial disclosure should be in place to protect against these situations. When I came to exit the property, I wasnt invited to the check out which many estate agents do offer, I called the office many times but was ignored and no one called me back, eventually after emailing Mr and Mrs Kelly and their other office, I eventually was called. I asked for my deposit to be returned however was told after waiting weeks that that the landlord wasn’t happy with certain conditions in the property, Home should have a duty towards the tenant and the landlord and not be on one side, I took my case to the adjudicator after they tried to claim for a ridiculous high amount to paint a wall and for cleaning, Thankfully justice was served and it was declared that the amount they tried to claim was rejected and around 40% was awarded of their claim!! I thank the adjudicator for seeing the case for what it really was and would urge any tenant reading this, that never trust the agents quotes for any works and always fight it, because like me you will win and greed will lose.
Dear J Pearson, we are disappointed to see this review as know you had a great relationship with the rental team during your tenancy. As we explained to you previously, we have no control on the costings claimed by a landlord at the end of a tenancy, we in no way would benefit if a landlord claims against a tenant’s deposit. Equally it is not in our benefit for a landlord to end a tenancy and as the landlord’s agent we have to follow the landlords’ instructions. Whilst we can appreciate that you had grievances with the claims the landlord made, this is all dealt with via a third-party government approved scheme and as you pointed out there is a free adjudication process to reach a resolution between yourself and the landlord. Kyran and Dan and the sales team did a great job getting and arranging viewings in a difficult market and selling my house within 4 weeks of it hitting the market. Also to Chloe and the sales progression team for seeing the sale over the line within three months. The whole Home team did a great job.

GoogleI will never forgive this company for almost wrecking the sale of our property a few years ago. (Long story short: we ended up selling with one of their competitiors who did a MUCH better job). But right at the last stages, they started interfering with our Solicitor (he was perplexed as to why they were trying to encourage us to go with their buyer when our sale was 80% done). Terri Filannino, Ami Willis and Sue Kelly all let us down BIG TIME. Anyway, I wouldn't have bothered saying much else, but the fact they continue to bombard me with spam emails after unsubscribing on multiple occasions has changed my mind.

Interestingly some of the staff you mention have not been with the company for 4 years so we can only think this is a historic compliant and we are unsure why you have waited so long to raise it with us. GoogleTried to get a viewing for a property and was one of the first to call as I was told on the phone. Then they came up with this ridiculously backwards system where I had to give all of my details, to which I also responded to pretty quickly. Had heard nothing back in a week and when I called today, was told there were already offers on the property. I kept having the situation explained to me very poorly and ended with "alrightttttttt" which no, it definitely wasn't "alrighttttttt" a proper fob off attitude from the staff. It doesn't surprise me as all estate agents lack any decency anyway Terrible service and I'll think twice next time I see this estate agent list a property. Unfortunately they lack any courtesy to contact you and want all of your details in advance just to waste your time.

My sale was a very complicated long winded sale but they always calmed me down when stress was getting the better of me. GoogleMy mother recently sold and bought her property through Home and found them to be very professional from start to finish. She had her house on the market for over four months with another local agent who struggled to send anyone round, never kept in contact and continually advised dropping the price. A friend recommended Home to me and I suggested my mum give them a go and couldn't have asked for better. Neil came in and took some excellent photo's which was swiftly followed up by proactive sales support in the office from Sue and her team. After finding my mother's buyer in no time at all we were passed to the sales progression department headed by Jeanette who took the deal by the horns and helped us battle the solicitors to a successful exchange and completion. If you are looking for a local (family run) agent who will sell your home and provide a great service then Home are the ones to contact. Bravo!
