GoogleWe used the Crowland office of City and County to handle the sale of our bungalow. They found us a buyer within a week of advertising the property, negotiated a fair price and effectively managed the sale and communications through to completion. Brilliant work by the whole team and especially Will, Fiona and Jacqui.

GoogleOur experience was as a buyer of a property these were marketing. We made an offer which was agreed verbally by the buyer. We submitted our financial documents for verification within 24 hours to be then told that this needed verification by a Director. The communications made it clear (email and verbally) that the property would stay on the market until the Director had verified everything and this might take a couple of days. This was a Thursday. So we waited……property still on the market……chased several times, our own estate agent chased……the seller of the property chased but these guys just had no urgency and made us wait a weekend not knowing if our offer was going to be formally accepted. Finally at close of business on Monday, 4 days later, the Director decided she was going to do 5 minutes of work and verified our financials and the property was taken off the market. This didn’t feel like we were valued as a buyer at all. When we chased the verification we felt like we were being an inconvenience. By comparison when we sold our own property our estate agent verified our buyers financials in one day. So it can be done if they wanted to make the process easier and less stressful for their buyers.

GoogleExcellent service can’t thank Will, Fiona, Jackie, the whole of the progression team enough if it wasn’t for them the process of moving would have been a lot more painful I honestly can’t thank them enough for the hard work they put it to get it pushed through to completion. If your ever thinking of selling or purchasing a property make sure these are involved you won’t regret your decision. They always returned my call when they said they would unlike the estate agent I used to sell my house.

FacebookTom Bailey-Smith was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. He was responsive and attentive and always willing and happy to go the extra mile to get me across the line. I could not have asked for a better mortgage advisor and were it not for Tom's hard work, dedication and expertise, I would not have been able to secure my house. In my view, Tom went above and beyond, picking up the slack when my buyer's appalling solicitor dropped the ball and even doing their job for them to ensure the sale didn't fall through. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Due to my own disorganisation I only had a 3 week window in which to apply and receive my mortgage offer. Peter reassured me it could be done where others couldn’t. Facebook⚠️ Warning ⚠️ I would NEVER recommend SQ. Me and my partner have been renting our 4 bed house since jan 2020. We reported issues within a week of us moving in . Most of the jobs reported have not been completed and we are now a year on !! Yes a whole 12 months . Some of the issues are a breach of H and S. I am shocked at the way things have been dealt with . Staff at the Peterborough letting branch do not take H and S seriously . I reported the smoke alarm not working before Christmas and it’s still not replaced !!! It’s the only one in the house ! I have brought one because they have not provided us with one ! There is so many repairs that need doing and they really don’t care . If you want to keep your family safe . DONT use them .......

Viewings were arranged and managed by Fiona in quick succession and I had 5 offers after 3 days! I would highly recommend the team. GoogleI have moved many times in my life and this is the first time I was more than happy to pay an estate agents fee. The team at City & County were just brilliant and worked hard to sell our home and kept us updated throughout the process. Not once did I have to chase them. At no point prior to the issue being raised during your viewing were we aware of any pest infestation at the property. Once identified, the matter was immediately reported to the seller, professional treatment was instructed, and you were kept informed throughout the transaction. In addition, a further inspection of the property took place prior to exchange of contracts, which you attended. At that time, neither we nor you observed any evidence of an ongoing infestation. This was consistent with the information available to us at that stage. As estate agents, our legal role is limited to accurately relaying material information that we become aware of during the course of a sale. We are not authorised to investigate property conditions, certify remedial works, or provide legal assurances. Any allegations of misrepresentation or requests for formal documentation following completion fall within the conveyancing process and must be pursued between the buyer’s and seller’s solicitors. We therefore reject any suggestion that information was deliberately withheld or misrepresented. Where we are able to assist by relaying information from the seller through the appropriate professional channels, we remain willing to do so. Kind regards City & County Estate Agents

Once the offer was acceoted, Jaquie helped the sale progress - and we all got there in the end! GoogleCity & County Crowland helped us in the recently completed sale of my late Father's house. From start to finish, the whole team were faultless. Our initial meeting with Mike and his guidance on pricing and the current market, to Will who found our buyers to Jacqui who kept us updated every step of the way. This should be a stressful experience but it wasn't. The whole team were professional, friendly and great communicators. This is the second time I have worked with City & County Crowland and I would not hesitate to use them again. Highly recommended.

GoogleUnfortunately our experience with this estate agents, who we were attempting to buy our new home through does not compare with the other reviews here I have read. I must state that I would rather not write a negative review about anyone , but we feel that the service which included keeping us updated and helping us get towards completion of our purchase was practically non existent, to the point that we stopped trying to get anywhere with them and bypassed there services completely. We understand that the seller who was a builder, building the new build was evasive and difficult to get to turn up on the project to complete it, but the total lack of consideration from city and county was appalling, considering we where trying to buy something that they where selling. Moving home is a very stressful time without having to deal with the complacency that we dealt with. In the end we pulled out of the purchase, that perhaps with the help and support of the agents that we expected, might not have been the case . They where the polar opposite of the agents newton Fallowell that we where using to sell our home, who where keeping everyone updated including the buyers of our home regularly. Because we felt they cared and unfortunately we did not feel the same about city and county, in fact they made me feel like a pain when I was chasing for updates. So unfortunately we felt there service was so shocking that it warrants this review. The one star is for Will, who we would like to disassociate from this review.
Dear Steve & Gina We note your concerns in this review and also the duplicated review below from a separate account of yours. It is disappointing that your purchase did not reach completion and you chose to withdraw your offer close to exchange of contracts. I understand that the main issue you had with the purchase is the time taken for the developer to complete the works and him giving you dates when tasks would be completed and then not meeting those dates. Unfortunately from an Estate Agent point of view this is beyond our control as we can only pass on the information we are given. As you had swapped numbers with the developer he was providing updates regularly, as were we. There were a few set backs whereby further works were required to obtain building control sign off, and you were kept fully informed of this. We made assurances that we would contact you once progress had been made, and it was your own decision to drive by the property to check that the developer was on site and then call us to report his movements. Although frustrating that the time to finish the build was not in line with your hopes and expectations, there were instances where inappropriate comments were made by yourselves which were neither pleasant for the call handler, nor for the developer whom the comments were made towards. Rather than take these comments further we tried to work with you to reach a resolution and I am disappointed that the property was not build ready and signed off in line with your requirements. I note from our conversation we had when you withdrew your offer that you were unhappy that you had called in for Mike and your call was returned by myself; this is due to myself being best placed to assist being the Sales Progression Manager whereas Mike is the Valuer and rarely in the office. By myself returning your call you received a response more quickly and this reasoning was explained to you during our call. We are confident that you were updated accordingly and have emails and call logs to reflect this. We are not aware of any further issues you encountered other than the above as nothing further was flagged. Therefore we find your negative review unreasonable and would appreciate if you could take the time to reflect on your comments and remove the review. If of course there is anything further you wish to discuss please do feel free to contact us directly and we will endeavour to assist to your satisfaction.
