We purchased our new home through M Coleman's and they helped us navigate what was a stressful process for us. They routinely went above and beyond to help us in any way they could. They provided regular updates and were quick to respond to queries. Above all they were a friendly voice on the end of the phone helping and advising what to do next and how to resolve the countless problems we ran into with solicitors. Coleman’s recently dealt with the sale and purchase for my elderly parents move. My experience was a mixed bag, some aspects were great, other times not so good. My biggest concern is in respect of the property my parents purchased, they put forward an offer on the basis that the property came off the market, the offer was accepted, and the sale agreed, despite this it became apparent that at a later date the agent put forward an offer from another potential buyer, luckily the vendor had great integrity and declined the offer, which was fortunate given that my parents had by this time, already paid fees to the solicitors and surveyor. The transaction did complete but based on this action I would be reluctant to use Coleman’s again in the future.

At the first chance I got, I rightly disputed that damage caused to cheap vinyl flooring couldn’t have been our fault because there were no protection caps provided on the legs of our dining chairs. Inevitably, after a week, our weight pierced this flooring. According to M Coleman, my dispute was “irrelevant” because the landlord had reported it as damaged before then and had claimed that we were willing to pay; even though there was still months left of our tenancy, we clearly weren’t willing to pay and the work hadn’t yet been done! We’ve ended up paying £300 for the landlord's initial oversight. Presumably worrying about their relationship with the landlord, M Coleman carefully took months to formulate the answers they wanted to give us and I’m unwilling to believe they’ve handled the situation by the book. It’s the only thing I brought up during our tenancy and M Coleman provided as little help and understanding as a camal would have. 1 star is more than they derserve.

I purchased a house through M Coleman and sold my property through another local branch of a well known chain of estate agencies. The difference between the two is stark. The staff at the branch are extremely friendly and helpful, and despite a particularly complex purchase they were fantastic throughout the whole experience and did a lot of the chasing of my sale end of the chain which would of otherwise have been expected of my own estate agent who were not in the slightest bit interested. Ben deserves a particular shout out for his dedicated help going above and beyond during this process for hunting down information from elsewhere. Towards the end they were even committed to going above and beyond, in an untraditional way to ensure the purchase went through successfully at a crunch point. You won't get that level of personal service from the big chains and it was a gesture very appreciated by myself and I'm sure my sellers too. I won't be moving in a hurry but if I need to sell in the area I will certainly be in touch with M Coleman to use their services.
