Tamlyn & Son Ltd did a survey on my house, she wasn't frendly at all. She tried to open a cabinet in the kitchen and she broke the security lock. She did not mention that to us and I only realized this when my 19 month old daughter was playing with the cleaning products. Her incompetence put my baby girl at risk. And her survey? A joke, "It could be asbestos", "It may be mold", yeah and it could be petroleum underneath the house... Barely any facts, just suppositions. Luckily for me, this company also did a survey on my buyer's house, also very unprofessional. So they understand that this is they way this company does the surveys.

Great service from Tamlyns. Good system in payment where we feel safe to transfer the fee. Surveryor contacted us before the survey to ask our concern, as well a follow up call after survey was done. Efficient and polite service was provided. Our HomeBuyerReport-Level 2 was comprehensive and easy to understand. If there must be 1 thing to say that could be an added value, it will be some photos of the critical areas as well near the roof parts. It will further help the buyer to visualize how the issues look like as most of those were not be aware by the buyer during property visit. Will surely use Tamlyns again.

Very reasonably priced too, I would not hesitate to use this company again. I did pull out of the sale as a result of the survey but I'm very glad I spent the money on it as it saved me a fortune in the long run. From the simple booking process to getting the survey was a couple of weeks which we thought was a really good turn around. I have used Tamlyn's for 2 Homesurveys and the level of detail that this company go in to is amazing. The surveyor on both occasions was a chap named John and you can tell he cares about what he is doing. He highlights things in real detail and also gives you a view on what could happen depending on variables such as weather, when the house was built and how you can improve things. Tamlyns were not the cheapest of the quotes but, the quality of the report was excellent and their customer service was top-notch. Lovely auction room, great staff and always a good selection of items to look at and bid on. Their outside agricultural auctions are brilliant too lots of great bargains ranging from household items, tools, fencing, garden and gardening equipment, furniture, cars, caravans, farm machinery each auction is different. They are held at Wembdon Bridgwater, and the Oak Tree Arena at Edithmead.
