Excellent & so above-professional; a breath of fresh air in estate agent-land!

Excellent - superlative even - service and help from Grace at Kemptown/Brighton Fox&Sons. Grace was super efficient, dealt with a myriad of inquiries and was always on hand and on top of everything re. an offer on a property in Kemptown.Having dealt with a lot - I mean a lot - of estate agents in Brighton - which is enjoying a property boom - I can hand on heart say that even though most are lovely - it really stands out when you have got someone who a) isn't trying to flog you something you don't want and b) who is doing their job so well - they actually look out for what you are not thinking about or seeing in the process of looking at a property to buy. It is HUGELY helpful when an estate agent is that thorough and cares about their job so much - and of course this is so conducive to you wanting to do business with them.I totally get that estate agents get cynical and jaded as they do their job year after year - it must be exhausting - but when you have someone so on the ball and preempting what you are missing, and not thinking about, it makes all the difference.Thank you Fox&Sons - and Grace in particular. Avoid F&S conveyancing

Do not use Fox & Sons in house conveyancing firm. I’m not a Fox & Sons customer but our buyer is (as that is their agent) and they’ve held up our chain for months. We agreed a sale in October 2024, it was discovered in January 2025 that our buyer needed an amendment to their lease on their leasehold property before they could sell it (a deed of variation) three months later to today, only now has the Fox & Sons conveyancing firm read the leases properly and determined what they need to do and there is still no end in sight. All in our chain has needlessly been put to extra stamp duty cost, the cost of arranging a new mortgage offer because previous ones have expired, we’ve had houses in the chain being re marketed, causing further stress. Our solicitor told me today that they have three chains including ours that are all stuck and going nowhere due to a deed of variation, and guess what, every one of those chains has the same Fox & Sons conveyancing firm handling the deed of variation. They clearly don’t know what they’re doing and I would suggest unless you want to waste your money on delays, and be stressed beyond belief, do not use Fox & Sons in house conveyancing. I don’t normally post reviews, if I get bad service, I simply don’t go back. However, on this occasion, I’m getting bad service that is costing me and others in our chain more money, and there is nothing I can do about it.

Fox and Sons, Best Estate Agents by far…

Fox and Sons weren’t my originally estate agents, but I’m so pleased that I asked them to help me after a run of bad luck with my original agent!The service that I received from Morgan & Annie at the Saltash Branch has been nothing but exemplary.Morgan offers help and advise all the way along the process, that in itself takes a huge pressure off knowing your in such capable hands. I have been informed of updates as and when they’ve arisen, from numerous phone conversations and letters, giving me huge confidence in them.The level of knowledge, professionalism and experience that I’ve seen from Morgan is a true credit to Fox and Sons, Morgan really has gone above and beyond to sell my house, and I really feel like I’ve been made a priority.I can honestly say after such a positive experience I will only ever be using Fox and Sons in the future.Annie has also been a breath of fresh air, she’s incredibly polite, friendly and courteous, and was in a class of her own when she showed my house to prospective buyers. I was extremely happy with the service I received from Millie Howden at Fox and Sons in Amesbury. The valuing of the house was arranged at short notice owing to my personal time restrictions. From the offset Millie was both professional and friendly throughout. She clearly explained everything regarding selling and answered my questions. When I called the office a couple of times after her visit to ask further questions she gave me the time to answer them, didn't make me feel rushed but a valued customer. A credit to her office in her whole approach.

I had a great experience with Fox and sons (Hove Church road) they were professional and extremely helpful. Every time I have a question or was unsure about anything they were very quick to get back via email. I would recommend fox’s and sons especially as new buyers and not knowing a lot about what needed to be done and when they helped through the whole process. I cannot recommend Daniel the mortgage advisor enough!! Fox and Sons Yeovil.

Having recently returned to the south west i was struggling to find a property in the Yeovil area due to being in a complex situation and due to the huge demand in rental properties. After being told no a million times, Fox and Sons in Yeovil got in contact, it was Leon. He took the time to understand my situation fully, and then arranged a viewing of two properties for me and after three months of being told “No, Sorry”, Leon had found me the perfect property and Landlord. I move in tomorrow, its been a long process but Leon has kept me up to date throughout and has been on the phone or on email any time i have needed to ask a question or get an update, where i have spoken to other members of the team, they have been fantastic too, Leon however, has really stood out and gone above and beyond any other letting agent i have experienced over the years. Thank you Leon for picking me up, giving me hope, and getting me into a beautiful property with a fantastic landlord when you really were my last hope. Eastbourne Branch - Brilliant

Eastbourne Branch - I cannot recommend them enough! I used Fox and Sons in Eastbourne recently to sell my flat! They sold it within a couple of weeks which was great! We were in a long 6+ chain so the time to completion took about 5 months but throughout the process I spoke to Stephen the branch Manager almost weekly (with him calling me as much as the other way round which was great), he’d give me regular updates if he’d heard anything from the Solicitors etc and and nothing seemed too much trouble from anyone in the office! I felt the service was professional throughout but also they were very personable and a pleasure to deal with!

Fox & Sons Eastbourne dealt with the sale of my property and although it took nearly a year to go through (mainly due to Covid restrictions) they did an excellent job. Tom and Steve were awesome. They responded to every email and call from me quickly and professionally. There were numerous issues along the way and they dealt with them all, including driving around to make sure I had the keys as quickly as possible. Highly recommend these guys and would definitely use them again.

No stars would be more accurate

Edit: The service got even worse once we'd left. The Company left me with a number of examples where I had to contact Utility companies, because they lied about our Moving out date. I then found myself having to explain to several people that we had moved out in October 2019, not January 2020. This took several hours over many months. My credit rating was apparently affected, because I didn't know I was being left with bills that I shouldn't have. I would welcome any member of the company to contact me to discuss just how bad they were. I very rarely have the need to write a poor review of anyone, but I've never come across such an air of apathy from a company. At the start, they were very pleasant, and made a load of promises to get work done before we moved in. The house was filthy, and their representative (Mr Evans) promised my wife that a load of cleaning would be done. The garden would be tidied up, holes in the walls would be filled. The excess furniture would be removed. On arrival on the day we moved, nothing was done. My wife was extremely upset (Rancid milk ground into all the carpets downstairs, thick film of grease and filth in the kitchen, dirty toilets and bathroom. Cooker filthy and not working, Garden was a mess, Furniture that should have been removed was still there, etc etc. This was not vaguely dirty, but FILTHY) My wife contacted the Company Representative, who did nothing. When I eventually complained further up the chain, it was turned around so that it was our fault for not formally requesting that stuff be done. The flippancy of the lady that dealt with the complaint was beyond contempt. When I make a promise that is something will be done, when I'm representing my Company, I make sure it is done. This was definitely not the case with Fox And Sons. Having moved out, we now find that we are likely to lose a large portion of our Security Deposit because they are now blaming us for damage that was caused long before we had moved in. We are rather relieved to have now moved out, and even more relieved that we will never have to deal with this company again. There are many estate Agents, and Letting agents that work extremely hard for their clients. This isn't one of them. I expect my Secure Deposit to be taken from us, as it would appear that their primary objective is to take as much as they can from the market. Exactly as expected, we have been blamed for long term neglect and damage to the property that were there long before we moved in. We have photographs from the week we moved in, and will process an appeal, but I fully expect that it will be ignored. If truth be told, all we want now is to move forward and not have to deal with these people ever again. As the title says, NO STARS would be a more accurate appraisal.
