If I could give 0 stars I would. I paid for a ‘fully managed’ service for letting out my property. The last tenant destroyed my property in the 10 months that they were there. The agent completed a review at 6 months and stated that although untidy the apartment was in an OK state. So then this would mean that the tenants destroyed the apartment in 4 months! Trying to speak to someone was almost impossible, I got the standard, “it’s not me it’s so and so you need to speak to” I ended up complaining to the senior manager who, whilst appearing sympathetic offered no real support. To find that the tenant was on a ‘nil deposit’ scheme and that when trying to claim against John shepherd for the damage, I was told we will only cover their part of the carpet/ curtails / wall that are damaged! And also apply standard wear and tear, where 10 months prior the apartment was in ‘showhome’ condition? So what was I meant to do, cut around the damage and replace that piece of carpet/curtain! An absolute disgrace. I would urge anyone looking to use this company to avoid at all costs! My property manager, Tina Margetts was absolutely awful only contacting me when there was a problem, not interested when the tenants left my apartment in an appalling state.

He has Amazing qualities which shine through . One of the nicest people ever. He is an absolute gem and asset to his profession . Couldn't ask for better .

Poor experience, regarding my son, as a joint tenant in a student property in Nottingham. Over inflated claims on damages that were already there. Mould in the property was dangerous. Nottingham City council inspected and had issues with unsafe fire doors, but nothing was done to remedy this, despite numerous complaints. No response to documented evidence. Still owe the tenants the deposit bond, not responding to emails

A couple of weeks ago, I had a terrible experience with a letting agent while trying to move into a new flat, even forfeiting my holding deposit due to unnecessary, deceitful and ridiculous process. However, when I came across John Shepherd, they were incredibly helpful in finding me a new place. I didn’t have to wait forever for a viewing, as they arranged appointments as quickly as possible. Within a week, everything was sorted, the letting process was quick, efficient, and professional. I’d especially like to thank Faith and Paula for their support! I would recommend John Shepherd anytime, any day.

Very quick and smooth experience getting my tenancy through John Shepard. Replied very quickly in order to sort the application especially with a fairly tight move in date, we managed to get everything sorted without issue and comfortably for a quick move in.
