Kamila and The Sales Team - Do Chestnut Homes Proud!

Our apologies for the lateness of this review, we moved into our new home on September 29, 2025. Unfortunately, we had a number of personal issues and weren't able to provide a review earlier, but we want to emphasize that our experience and interactions with the Sales Office Team was absolutely outstanding! In particular our interactions with Kamila cannot be praised highly enough. She was super friendly, warm, empathetic, supportive and understanding. She went the extra mile for us when we were facing delays from our bank and our solicitors, she liaised between us and Chestnut Homes’ Head Office! As a result, they were very patient with us, regarding our particular situation. Sylvia also deserves another special mention for her support and professionalism during our closing, while Kamila was on vacation. Additionally, the Site Manager also dealt with the deficiencies that were present at the time of closing. The Sales Team are the customers' first point of contact and as such Kamila and her team have done Chestnut Homes Proud.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Kamila for making the whole process of buying a house at Millers Walk, Chestnut Homes so simple, quick and efficient. From initial enquiry all the way through to completion, nothing was ever too much. Kamila was happy to work around my work schedule, even coming in on days off to help. The specification of the property was exceptional, and I was really impressed with the finish. Even after moving, Chestnut stayed in touch to make sure everything was to my liking, even dropping round extra paint after I clumsily damaged a wall moving furniture. Can’t recommend Chestnut Homes, Kamila, Helene and her team enough. 5 stars from me!

I would recommend that there is a Snagging Survey done straight away

Bought in 2016 - I would recommend that there is a survey done "snagging survey" when you move in to catch any of the many issues I have had and my neighbours have had with their new builds some of which were resolved by the company after discussions about what was ok and what was not and some not to much mainly because they have taken time to find and now it is too late. For me based on my experience and the people around me I probably wouldn't do it again, but for those in some of the newer estates I understand they are going better.

Kings Manor, Coningsby

We moved into our new home on Kings Manor, Coningsby in September 2023.The whole process from reserving, to choices, build updates and move in date all ran smoothly with the help from Jayne and Lindsey. We’ve always received a warm welcome into the marketing office, it’s family friendly which has been helpful on our visits to make choices. Jayne and Lindsey have been more than accommodating, patient and helpful with us with our many questions, and visits to her office to make our kitchen/bathroom/flooring choices. Even after we moved in, Jayne has helped us with sourcing furniture we liked from the show homes, nothing is too much trouble.This is our second home bought from Chestnut homes on the same development. The finishing of the new house has been excellent. Steve has helped resolve and issues and queries we had. We had a couple of minor snags that were sorted quickly. The build site team are all friendly and helpful. There has been further building of new homes around us since moving in, but the extra vehicles and people around has never really been of a hinderance in terms of access to our house and noise. My son has been greatly entertained daily by the diggers passing by! We love our new home, and have had a lovely first Christmas here. Thank you very much Chestnut Homes, specifically Jayne, Lindsey and Steve.

Great Team -Chantry Park -Market Rasen

We moved into our new home on Chantry Park , Market Rasen in August this year. The process was professional and nothing was too much trouble. Our sales advisor Janet has been absolutely brilliant with us , her patience , help, understanding and friendly customer care is outstanding , a credit to Chestnut Homes . Alongside Janet , we have also had help and support from Mary in sales , again nothing to much trouble, friendly and helpful . The site manager Matt and maintenance guy Brian , have also been brilliant . Thank you to each of you for all the help and support .

What an “Alford” (Awful) experience!

What an “Alford” (Awful) experience! Had I taken the time to read the genuinely critical reviews on here, I would have steered clear of this company and their practices:Poor customer service from them lead to them taking a “Reservation deposit” on a property that they told me was secure for me while I completed the “easy mover” option for the purchase. But as with all these badly managed companies the “customer “ comes last!!! Details were taken, forms sent to me appointments booked, mortgage paperwork completed and then a silly salesperson rings me to say “Hiya, I have some bad news, we have taken a deposit on the plot you wanted” ~ Are these people for real??Get your company ethics in place, for the sake of your own reputation. Wasting peoples time is pointless. Why have options if your not going to follow them. Poor management definitely poor sales process and after reading some of the comments on here poor build quality!!Chestnut homes @ Bridgeways you have let yourselves down ~ Again by the sounds of it!

6 months from choosing to moving in.

We decided to move home in May 2021 and began looking for a new house build. Having travelled around much of Lincolnshire we settled on the Quadrant at Wyberton. The choice of different styles are enough to make the area interestingly different rather than bland and sameish as with lots of other developments.Kamila was extremely helpful, supportive and worked hard to assist us whenever possible.We bought a lovely 4 bed detached home off plan and then spent the next 6 months watching it come to completion. There were a couple of snagging issues which were dealt with speedily and professionally.There are still 2 scratched window glass units to be replaced but these are supply issues which affect the whole of the building industry. I am in contact with customer services so we know what is happening.We have now been living here 5 months or so and are very happy and content. We love our home and have nice neighbours too.Overall the quality is as expected or better.Yes there are more expensive units and fittings available on the market that could have been used by Chestnut but that increases costs anyhow.During our time living here the building noises and traffic disruption is less than expected and contractors have been helpful if we needed a vehicle moved etc.Overall we feel we made the right choice and no regrets.

Rubbish company & Shambolic Management

It’s a shame you can’t give minus stars! They make you pay a maintenance charge which is supposed to go to keeping the estates nice. We’ve had dead trees and plants around for a couple of years now which should be replaced under the conditions of "their" contract! Trying to get them or Lambert Smith Hampton to do anything is impossible. Our so called "Property Manager" doesn’t know how to press reply on an email. These companies shouldn’t be allowed to operate. Anyone reading this please keep clear of Chestnut Homes, save yourselves the pain!

Perfect company!

If you’re looking for a new home, Chestnut homes are the perfect company to buy with. My partner and I purchased our first home at the Quadrant in Boston. Kamila, who helped us with our purchase, is the kindest person you’ll ever meet. She’s ever so helpful and will always go above and beyond. We were so lucky she assisted us with our purchase. We used the recommended lawyers and mortgage advisors and I couldn’t recommend doing that enough. This helped make the process run very smoothly and fiddler and pepper (the lawyers) regularly stayed in contact with us. A big thank you to Kamila for helping us get our dream home- you’re truly a credit to Chestnut Homes.

I have just moved in to a timber framed…

I have just moved in to a timber framed mid terrace house and the amount of impact noise we hear from the neighbours is appalling. Both sides have small children and amount of impact noise that travels through is terrible. My neighbours stairs do not run alongside the party wall but I can still hear them going up and down the stairs we can even hear their dogs going up and down. There is nothing to prevent noise in between the internal walls it is just hollow in between. It is just hollow in between the upstairs floor and the downstairs ceiling which allows noise to travel straight through. My knee cracked while I was kneeling on the upstairs floor and it travelled right through the house. They even have to turn the extractor fan speeds down to minimum as the neighbours can hear it and I was told this by one of the trades people that worked on the house when it was being built. We cannot stand it so we are hopefully moving out after only being here for 6 months. It was a big mistake moving in to this house!

What fantastic staff at Chantrey Park. They dont just go the extra mile, they will do a marathon if you ask. With them driving the legal teams we have moved in just 7 weeks after finding our house. Now they are helping greatly with the tweeks that will personalise it. Multiple people snagged it so that apart from a glitch with the dishwasher moving has been hassle free. The house is highly energy efficient and yet we have the largest baths ever in which to luxuriate. This firm is truly customer focused.

Chestnut homes horrific experience.

Having bought 2 newbuild homes previously with different builders, i thought this would be a good experience again. This could not be further from the truth as i had a horrific experience with chestnut homes and their personnel. Rude sales/admin staff, factually incorrect information and consistent changes prior to moving in date. Recieved abusive phone calls from staff when they slipped the moving in date by several months. Moved into a dirty house with many faults and a flooded garden. None of them were resolved. Tried to complain but all complaints are intercepted by the admin staff and do not get to the management. Customer Service were obstructive and unhelpful, and refused to fix faults within the 2 year period. Forced into expensive deals as a monopoly provider with Internet and local maintenance which is owned by chestnut homes, an absolute scam. Overall a horrendous and stressful experience. I would not recommend chestnut homes to anyone.
