Amy and Ellie at Balfours Shrewsbury property sales have been very helpful over a protracted sale. Amy went above and beyond to help things along with the solicitors involved and even in helping with a practical job to the property as I was at such a distance. Amy negotiated the sale well. Despite, as mentioned, the convoluted legal and compliance processes relating to the aged property, they continued answering the phone to me and keeping me informed of progress as far as they were able in a friendly, positive and patient manner. The original market price they suggested was rather optimistic and had to be significantly tempered in order to achieve a sale especially once an initial buyer fell through and the property then had to be re-presented to the market over winter. Amy is a real asset to Balfours. Thanks Amy and Ellie.

Paula and the letting team at Balfours were excellent thought our short tenancy. They are an entirely professional operation with robust processes that serve and protect both landlords and tenants. We always felt that they had our best interests at heart while also doing a thoroughly outstanding job for the landlord as well. Always responsive and flexible, they always made us feel valued as tenants, something that has not always been our experience. This was a tricky process because of the complexities of this particular rural house sale including joint owners, unoccupation and considerable repairs needed. We selected Balfours to take us forward and this proved to be the optimal choice. Marketing was exemplary with excellent brochures and extensive coverage. A buyer was soon found and when this fell through, Balfours worked like lightening to get the house back on the market and find a new buyer. I have sold a few houses but I have never encountered anybody so resourceful, resilient, intuitive, diligent and generally just brilliant as Amy from Balfours. Truly outstanding, Amy was there every step of the way, to push things through, offer guidance, provide a shoulder to cry on, liaise with all parties and get us through to exchange and completion. I would heartily recommend Balfours to anyone who is looking for an agent with integrity to handle their house sale.

Well what a fantastic customer service we have just recieved at Balfours estate agency. We put an offer in on an unusual beautiful rural property! Our ultimate dream forever home, and from start to finish the team have been amazing. From Elly showing us around especially at a drop of a hat to us putting an offer in and the negotiation was handled excellently from Amy the manager. We've hit a couple of bumps on the way through no fault of the estate agency but Amy has helped us overcome and rectify them. If it wasnt for Amy we probably wouldnt have been able to purchase this property. She worked hard to make sure all parties were fully updated. Going the extra mile to chase the land agents for information for the solicitors. Honestly without Amy our chain would have fallen through. I honestly could no rate them enough. My partner and I have our houses for sale here in town. Mine is a five bedroom modern detached house and my partner has a four bedroom 1930s detached town house. We were shown the door and not that politely either. We were told, "We do not have buyers for your type of property!" Oh dear Balfours you might pride yourselves on your clientele but we are of the opinion that your professionalism may need reviewing. All rather disappointing - sorry for the negative review but we felt very embarrassed which is a shame as other agents in the town were very professional, courteous and wanted our buisness.

Remember: Not all estate agents are equal. We are very pleased, and indeed relieved, to have chosen Balfours for our sale: a complex transaction involving residential and commercial elements, with the added pressure of completion before 30/06/21. From hitting market to accepting an offer (which incidentally was significantly higher than guide price) to completion took 9 weeks, in part due to some sage advice from Balfours' Charlie Giffard. A Herculean effort during an unprecedentedly busy time for the market. Charlie was a source of constant support and we valued greatly the depth and breadth of his experience. In a market seemingly besieged by bad reputations and even worse service, Balfours did that most rare thing: achieved EXACTLY what we wanted them to, in the way we wanted them to. Superb.
