GoogleWe chose SK Agents to sell our house because we had bought our home through them previously and were really impressed by how diligent Sarah was in chasing progress at every stage. That level of commitment stuck with us, and we knew that’s exactly what we wanted from our estate agents when it came time to sell.
From the start, Steven was extremely professional, offering great advice on valuation and how best to present our home. He was reassuring, knowledgeable, and always on hand to talk through any concerns we had.
The house went on the market in under a week and we had an offer accepted above asking just two weeks later. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Sarah was fantastic throughout the whole process. As our sales progressor, she kept everything moving smoothly, not just with our buyer, but also with our purchase and even the vendor’s onward purchase. We were part of a chain of three, and we genuinely believe Sarah's proactive approach was a big reason we managed to complete within just four months.

GoogleI enquired about a rental property and was upfront about my poor credit history. This was a joint application with my partner who earns enough to rent the property individually and has no issue credit wise, I thought being honest from the start would ensure no set backs later on. I was quickly told we wouldn't be considered as I would fail all checks. I was told this without the agent actually checking any futher information. I challenged this via email and was ignored. We have since rented a property with a higher monthly payment and had zero issues along the way. Poor customer service.
Having read the review response, im delighted to get a response considering I never received one via email. The application form stated "do you have any adverse credit such as CCJs or IVAs" which I do not have. If there was more to that question that I have misunderstood then yes, that is my mistake but is not intentional dishonesty. My poor credit history is my own responsibility, which is why when we received a phone call to discuss the application, more detail was given and nothing was hidden. Threatening to share private information and breach GDPR laws to save face on the internet just confirms your poor customer services skills. If I had received a reasonable response or just any response from the email exchange I would not of felt it necessary to write this review. If you feel it needs to be removed thats your prerogative but I had a bad experience and my review reflects that.

Courtney, your review is factually incorrect. On 8th September you completed our pre-referencing form and confirmed in writing that you had no adverse credit. Only later, when we reconfirmed your position, did you disclose that you in fact had poor credit. This directly contradicted your original application.
As agents, we have a duty of care to our landlords to ensure all information provided is accurate and truthful. When applicants provide false or misleading information, we cannot proceed with a viewing or tenancy. That is not “poor customer service”, that is us doing our job properly and protecting our clients.
Your credit history is your responsibility, not ours. To suggest otherwise is unfair and misleading. For full transparency, we are prepared to publish your completed form as evidence. We will also be asking Google to remove this inaccurate review.

GoogleSign on the agency door stating entry by appointment only. Called them three times to make an appointment. Each time I was put through to their answering service. I went through the various stages with the answer phone selecting the appropriate options. Eventually I was told my call could not be answered. I wonder how this agency has any properties on the books as apparently there is no way to speak to them?! Needless to say I have gone elsewhere. There is little point taking out a billboard next to Asda with your mug on it if you aren't going to answer the phone or let people in......

We have a phone system that clearly explains (apparently 3 times) that we do not bok rental viewings over the phone. It directs you to go to our website to coplete a ‘Pre-referencing form’ ensuring you meet the referencing criteria before being boked in.
Sales viewings can be boked over the phone but not Rental viewings. The reason for this is that we are often given misleading or inaccurate information over the phone or in person, which leads to a higher fall through in applications, and since the tenant fee ban, it is the landlords who take on the cost for failed referencing fees. Also the Landlords are left with empty properties for a longer period of time resulting in a loss of rent and being burdened with utility costs. Since implementing this system, we have reduced our rental fall through rates by 40%, meaning properties are let quicker saving the landlord mney. This is why Landlords choose to instruct us as we are very diligent in the way we work.
We have an appointment only office as we have had issues with gangs of youths threatening our female staff. Therefore, we have decided to do things by appointment only.
I would argue your issue is with the process and not the service. You had the opportunity to coplete the pre-referencing form and chose not to bther. We are not willing to work with tenants who are not willing to disclose their full position in writing prior to us boking them in for a viewing.

GoogleSK never put a foot wrong selling our property from start to finish: accurate valuation and very effective sales strategy, also a local agent (office in Woodseats) and you always talked to the same person once offers were in, who was very on the ball and chased the purchasers' solicitors when they were a bit slow. We didn't choose SK on price, but they were also very competitively priced. Estate agents in general don't have a good name and given some of the pushy sell and over-optimistic valuations we had before settling on SK, it's not hard to see why - SK on the other hand were excellent! All in all, we would strongly recommend them to anyone looking to sell, and good to deal with if you're buying as well (according to our purchasers).

GoogleCannot recommend SK highly enough. We will never use another estate agent. SK have handled 2 of our sales and were the estate agent for the vendor we bought our current house from. Steven is an expert in his field and we would not have succeeded in securing our dream house without him. He turned our sale round in record time and with his efficiency, focus (and excellent photography) gave us the best possible chance of getting the price we wanted for our property. Jamie handled the sale process from end to end and was a joy to work with. Jamie was on the ball and communicated brilliantly with us at each step. The process was mostly stress free but there are always the odd things that crop up. However, even when there were speed bumps they were well managed and we always felt that we were in safe hands. If we ever move again (hopefully not for a while) we will go straight back to SK.
