Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, even some time after your tenancy ended. I’m sorry to hear that you felt your experience with us did not meet your expectations. At the time, you accepted the property via a video viewing, a method that was commonly used during the pandemic for everyone’s safety. You seemed genuinely pleased to have secured the tenancy, and we no longer use video-only viewings now that in-person appointments have resumed as standard. Regarding the maintenance issue you mentioned, we understand how frustrating these things can be. Unfortunately, some issues are unforeseen. While the landlord used his preferred plumbing company initially, I stepped in and sent an alternative contractor to ensure the problem was resolved promptly. It’s important to clarify that it was an intermittent fault, and you did have access to heating and hot water during that time. As for the deposit, I appreciate that end-of-tenancy matters can be contentious. The DPS, as an independent government-backed scheme, reviewed the case and awarded part of the claim in our favour, reflecting their view that the property was not returned fully to its original condition. While that may not have aligned with your view, I’m pleased that the scheme offered a fair and transparent resolution process for both sides. We always strive to provide a good service and respond to all feedback, whether positive or negative.
