Very impressed with Saxton Mee Banner cross branch., in particular Janet Stevenson. Living away from Sheffield, Janet managed the sale of our property from start to end. She was always prompt to inform me of viewings and reply to correspondence etc. As our sale was progressed, she was very efficient and effective at communicating and resolving/chasing up queries etc. Saxton Mee has very good links with my solicitor at Taylor and Emmet. When our buyers solicitor was slow to progress the sale, Janet and Sally from Taylor & Emmet communicated well together to progress the sale to a more swift completion. Would highly recommend Janet at Saxton Mee Banner Cross Branch to sell your home.

Appalling company and an absolute…

Appalling company and an absolute nightmare to deal with! Communication was so bad during the sale process that we gave up on them and instead communicated directly with the estate agent for the house that we were buying for information on how the chain was progressing. The owner is also a nasty piece of work. Over a year after completion when we believed that all accounts were long settled they approached us out of the blue demanding a substantial amount of money, threatening us with charges if not paid immediately. No understanding or compassion was given and no acknowledgement of their role in causing this fiasco. I wouldn't use Saxton Mee again if they were the last estate agent on earth!

Really disappointing service levels

Really disappointing service levels, poor communication and aggressive responses to contact made to query misplaced keys, incorrect viewings etc. I wasn't complaining - just bringing it to their attention so they could rectify with the next viewing. All in all a stressful experience made much worse and we ended up losing a lot of money because we were too disillusioned to try another agent. We should have switched to ELR who gave me exemplary service when I found a property to purchase.

My first interaction with a UK estate agent for years. Very disappointing. Impossible to talk with them on the phone. Called 6 times in one day. No answer. Left message. No call back just a mail. Sent a revised offer in following discovery of a costly issue in the survey. No reply nor contact in 8 days!! And the property is on website as Sold STC. So I am THE client of the moment. I don’t understand to be honest. Would expect an agent to be all over me. They need AI agents. That would work much better! Let’s see if they see this review and if things improve. Otherwise I have to find another house.

Vanessa did the valuation and was absolutely correct in her assessment and extremely knowledgeable and professional. Janet was the link who kept us up to date with every step of the way, regarding viewings and ongoing progress with solicitors etc. Emails and phone calls were responded to immediately. Had a really good experience with Saxton Mee selling my house in Sheffield. I have dealt with a number of agents over the years but these were the best by a mile. Had really good sound advice all the way through the process from Liam. From how to market the property. Organising very quickly a number of viewers. Discussing the offers and how to proceed. Keeping in contact as we went through the legal process. And finally when all had been going well but there was a last minute hitch from our buyers solicitors he made efforts to get the issue resolved so we could get it sold, and coped with making sure we were kept in contact even though by then we were away on holiday for the critical two weeks. I think I was very lucky that the first home I bought was being managed by Saxton Mee as their service was brilliant. I met a few different local agents when house hunting and found Saxton Mee to be the most genuine, straightforward, friendly, helpful and easy to deal with, who did not try to force any additional services on to me or pressurise me in any way. Nor did they try to cover up anything or tell me conflicting stories - I was surprised how much obvious bad practice I saw from others, even as a beginner.
