As you know the letting of your property was on a let only agreement with Dacres and the checks were done some time ago with problems arising after the initial tenancy period. Your tenant passed these necessary reference checks. As soon as we were made aware of your concerns regarding the tenant, we raised your complaint with Homelet who investigated and found no issues with the checks they had processed. Danielle, we are very disappointed to read this negative review and that you feel we have acted anything other than professional and in our client’s best interests. The points which you raise are factually incorrect, and we would be more than happy to discuss these with you in more detail. In response to your concerns a) It is not common practice to accompany a valuer to a property. Surveyors are instructed to work on behalf of the bank’s interests, and any influence from an agent would be highly unprofessional. b) After two down valuations and waiting nearly three weeks for a third valuation still to be arranged, our clients took the decision to re market the property. It was neither our client’s, nor our intention, to see you in a difficult position. Our clients needed to do what was best for their own situation. You were kept fully informed of the remarketing and the reasons behind it.
