Friendly and clean

I have been with the St Helens storage team for almost 2 years now and I wouldn’t dream of moving, the staff feel like friends to me now and they’re always there to help and want to see our business grow too which is the best. Love seeing Jan and Ricardo every morning in the office and being able to have a little chat before going in.

Storage isn’t the least expensive but it is clean and good access is allowed with great opening hours and very secure. Car parking is great and staff lovely and friendly. The add on costs for insurance, boxes and a padlock bump up the price so I’d say take your own padlock and buy boxes from a well known Scandinavian shop as they work out much cheaper. I would give 5 stars but for the expensive padlocks/ boxes - I didn’t buy one, I went to the shops on the retail park and got one for a fraction of the cost.

In most respects, a good experience. The place is clean and tidy, and the staff are always helpful. However, I don't agree with having to pay for a two week notice period, even though I've moved out... 'Terms and Conditions' are one thing, but the unit could be used straight away by another customer, meaning the company is in effect, getting paid twice.... Not really happy with that! Marks - 7 out of 10

Dissapointed!

I was offered a great price on a storage unit at there Widnes branch. I was told it would be an ongoing price that they gave me. I paid for 12 months storage initially and they confirmed I would pay the initial set price for as long as I kept the unit. However, they have raised the price twice, the second time I rang to complain, so they put it down to my first price increase price. However I am extremely unhappy that the price went up in the first place. They told me that the price for the unit could be rented out for more. When it was offered to me at the ongoing price I was quoted, they were only too happy to take my money as they had several empty units. I feel quite annoyed they have done this and will be removing my belongings as soon as I can!.

An easy to manage storage solution

An easy to manage storage solution. I really liked the fact that you can downsize your unit space as you downsize your stuff. The office staff are really helpful during the day and respond promptly to emails. Having 24 hour access is great and an onsite kitchen area to make a brew is a very welcome addition.

I used one of the storage team’s units due to a house move and I can’t fault them. The lady that dealt with everything (Jess) was brilliant nothing was too much trouble, she showed me around the facility and help me choose which size unit would suit my needs. When it came time to vacate my unit there was no hidden charges I even got a refund on the month I’d already paid. If I need a unit again in future this is where I’ll use!!

I used Scunthorpe self storage for 6 months and found them to be a brilliant company to work with. The rates charged are highly competitive and the storage is always clean and dry which takes the worry away of any damage caused to items whilst in storage. The administration staff Jess, Sophie and Holly are also worthy of praise for going the extra mile in looking after customers. They regularly took in deliveries for me when I wasn't available and were always keen to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.
