Well what I can say! SHOCKING SERVICE.

Well what I can say!! After 7 years we have had enough and made the decision to move after countless problems. I am now having to move away from the area I grew up in and also I have to let my pet dog go after all the problems and YES BRIDGFORDS YOU ARE TO BLAME!!!! When we moved into the property it was just about habitable, it should not of been presented in the way it was but we were desperate. Over the years we improved the property ourselves and made it a nice home and we genuinely felt at home. Problems included heating pump problems, shower problems, we were left without a gas hob for 6 weeks, had to live practically off ready meals. Roof leaks, boiler problems which take weeks or even months to resolve. The penultimate decision to move was made when we were left without heating over the Christmas period, the house ended up like an ice box to the extreme causing massive distress to us and our young children, but they just don't care, waiting days and days for quotes to be accepted. Money comes before Health and Safety with these guys and to top it off we are being harassed to arrange viewings for new tenants, absolute joke. Unlucky for them is that I know property law, probably better than them and I have the right to refuse access to them until tenancy agreement ends. No one from the agency has ever been out to inspect the property in 7 years but they are willing to show people around, for they all know the property could be trashed. Absolutely unprofessional, some staff should be nowhere near the business of real estate. I think they think that payment of rent is just for the property, its not you pay rent for a service to which you do not get! DO NOT RENT A PROPERTY FROM BRIDGFORDS. Its just a shame it has come to this but they are to BLAME FOR IT ALL!! SIMPLE. GOOD LUCK TO WHOEVER MOVES IN!!

I had John sell a very large house for me which was a difficult one to sell! John worked endlessly navigating difficult clients and was nothing but professional throughout. He got me a price I was happy with and I wouldn’t use anyone else going forward! Highly recommend thank you John!

Absolutely shocking , no chase ups , no progress or updates for my purchase, no follow up , consequently a £400 k purchase failing at the last minute , not qualified to sell houses correctly, , complete garbage im afraid , cost me thousands in abortive fees , totally lied to & lead down the garden path. A waste of 8 months of my life , totally in shock upset & devastated

From my first inquiry about a property right through to completion, the team at Bridgfords in Walkden were fantastic. Mike was incredibly personable from the first call and always kept me well informed at all stages throughout the buying process. He went above and beyond for me on completion day even following up at the weekend to check everything was ok after the sale. Thank you Mike. Other members of the team John and Karen were also incredibly helpful whenever I called the office. If you are a buyer or remortgaging, I urge you to also use the services of Suzanne from Countrywide based in this office. She has been an incredible support for me as a first time buyer. Unfortunately, i read these reviews quite late and I am in agreement with all the negative opinions about Bridgfords Withington. We tried to buy a flat, but when we told them that we have our own mortgage advisor, the communication stopped. When we tried to get updates, they would try to discourage us to continue. They went on making an offer for our maximum budget, despite only having 1 additional buyer who offered 25k less than us. Dishonesty/ lack of transparency and totally unprofessionalism, especially Richard/ Hammad. I am happy I did not use their services, and I now select properties which are not in their portfolio. Quite sure the seller has received a lower offer as well, which is a shame as the flat was superb. Avoid!

The team here made the almost impossible possible and words cannot express how grateful I am. Suzanne Wynn from Countrywide based within Bridgfords Walkden is second to none when it comes to the knowledge and expertise of mortgages. She is very friendly, helpful and never failed to keep me up to date with the progress of my mortgage. Branch staff good, conveyancing beyond horrendous

Started the journey of selling my flat with Bridgfords well, great listing, quickly found a buyer, then Bridgfords conveyancing service took over and was incompetent at every turn. 6 months on from accepting an offer I’ve had to end the sale as my mental health couldn’t handle anymore of the misleading, lies and gaslighting from their conveyancers. Was so bad even the branch staff said they were embarrassed at how bad it was.

We chose Bridgfords as they handled the sale of our Sons house and we were impressed with the service he received. We definitely did the right thing. I dealt with Karen and Mike, each time i needed to ask questions or just catch up with the status of our sale they were responsive and gave answers/information as requested. They secured a buyer for our property pretty much straightaway. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Bridgfords if you're thinking of selling!

If I could put 0 I would. My cousin gave notice that he was giving up the flat due to family and health issues. Before he was able to remove his things (within a week) they have taken his belonging and given only some clothing back. They have stolen a family air loom watch (Rolex) , cash that was for Christmas, not given back any expensive trainers .. they have drip fed some things back since like the tvs and yet to receive the Xbox, they have photos of his stuff on their report which they haven’t given back. They are not to be trusted . They are proceeding to trade non ethically and illegally. Reports to police have been made. They prey on vulnerable people

23/07/18 - google wouldn’t let me write another separate review, Decided to upsize from my property I purchased off Bridgfords 2 years ago and the Mike, John, Karen and Suzanne are still as amazing as the last time I purchased a property from them, very helpful and would bend over backwards to help you, would still definitely recommend this team. 1/01/2016 - Recently purchased a property from this branch, Mike and Mel were excellent through out the process from start to finish, not sure of the names of the other staff but every time I popped in everyone was really friendly and talkative, appreciate everything they did for me and will 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a property in the area.

Bridgfords Gosforth

Bridgfords Gosforth - categorically the worst letting agents I have ever dealt with. They were very efficient at getting credit checks completed and the rent and deposit organised. After that though the service was appalllng. We picked up they keys a few days before we moved in and noticed a wash basin in the ensuite was smashed, and the premises was generally dirty (not mentioned on the inventory). Rang and advised - and said they could access the property to repair if necessary. It was not repaired when I moved in and I was advised this was because I needed to report through their portal. In the first week I had to report repairs - washing machine not plumbed in, broken toilet seats, kitchen cupboards so dilapidated the drawers fell out when opened, gas fire not working, thermostats missing/broken on radiators, ventilation fans not working plus the smashed basin. It took them 7 weeks to get some of the repairs done, the remainder were outstanding when I left 6 months later. I chased and chased but just got told they aren't priority repairs (repairs on white goods are supposed to be prioritised). Once I handed my notice in they were super efficient at arranging viewings to get some other poor fool to pay £850 to live in a cold badly maintained property.Although I have seen a copy of the check out report which mentioned lots of issues, all of which predated my tenancy, I have never had confirmation that the Land Lord is happy ( They brow beat me into taking a zero deposit arrangement which was very expensive so I don't have a deposit to come back) All in all swift to take your money slow to respond to issues and communications demonstrate how little they care about their tenants. I cannot recommend highly enough that you avoid this business like the plague.
