FacebookAVOID. Appauling service throughout our entire experience of attempting to rent through the Sale branch. It's difficult to even describe the level of incompetence and lack of empathy shown throughout. We were initially booked us in for a weekend viewing for the property were interested in. The letting agent didn't show up, with the tenant having no awareness of a booking even being scheduled. We weren't able to contact the office as their lines aren't open and had to leave a voicemail which was never followed up on. A further 2 viewings booked by my partner were then cancelled 15 minutes before they were scheduled to take place as we were on the way to the property, with a variety of excuses given. No opportunity was offered for these to be rebooked, empathy displayed or apology offered for the inconvenience. After finally viewing the property and making an application to rent, we then had to consistently chase the agent for any update whilst they remained evasive and unapologetic for another week and a half. We were then told only after that the landlord had rented the property to a family member! At no point throughout the entire process have we been proactively contacted, received an apology or have Trading Places take any accountability for their poor service. Callbacks that were promised never materialised. I even had to email the Lettings Director directly to find out what was going on after noticing the property had been changed to "Let Agreed" on Right Move. This was after my partner was told the Lettings manager "had no idea" what was happening. We were led completely down the garden path and had our time repeatedly wasted. if you're looking to rent a property in Manchester I'd recommend, in the strongest possible terms, you look with another agent that doesn't show as much contempt for prospective tenants as this one.
I am afraid the sale branch is a franchise branch and NOT owned by us, I would raise my concern with them directly with them. If we could help in anyway we would but unfortunately we can’t. We wish you the best of luck

GoogleThis company took over from Trading Places and I was contacted and told how good and efficient they were. Unfortunately this is not the case as a Landlord it's just been one cockup after another. Trading Places left me in a bit of a mess by allowing tenants to move onto rolling contracts and not renewing insurance agreements on several of my properties. It took quite a while to get things sorted. Also when they took over they kept asking for information I had already provided such as gas safeties, EICRs, etc. All information they should have had. I was getting fed up of this, if they take over an agency then all the relevant information is held by the agency, why am I being asked for copies of documents. Of course everything was Trading Places fault and they are not responsible. Recently I allowed them to take on maintenance, it was over Xmas, but 5 weeks later I hadn't received a single quote. So tenants are left with outstanding repairs and the agents are lying about keeping people informed. If I had not asked where they were upto then nothing would have been done. They also told me tenants were kept upto date, again not true. I spoke with my tenant and they had to call the agency to find out what was happening. They are parasites and not worth using if you have rental property. They let a tenant move in a day ago and then told me today the property needed cleaning etc. why the heck didn't they tell me before so I could have got it done. I mentioned it on the checkout that I thought the property needed cleaning, but they told me no it didn't and now it seems it did.

It has to be said that the whole team were fantastic, from start to finish and have completely changed my view of estate agents. First impressions matter, so Steven’s expertise and local valuation knowledge was spot-on and reassuring. The wonderful Rob and Liz handled the rest of the process with a friendly, professional manner that achieved the desired results and had a valuable calming effect over a stressful period. They handled the crucial moments with ease but they also handled the basics right, such as always being available and responding quickly on the phone and email - simple stuff I know but doesn’t half make life easier. Oh and another thing, they called us up to wish us a Merry Christmas in our new house. Sums up what genuine, lovely people Trading Places are.

GoogleYour Employee Marie STUNK OF ALCOHOL AT A RECENT VIEWING. I found this extremely unprofessional and unacceptable and felt the need to advise you of that fact. For your information the GB Health and Safety Executive’s warns: 'If you knowingly allow an employee under the influence of excess alcohol to continue working and this places the employee or others at risk, you could be prosecuted’. Clearly this problem would need to be addressed.
Hi, There is no record of you ever viewing any of our properties, nor are you registered either as a potential purchaser or renter on any of our databases. We've asked you numerous times to provide further details but you've ignored our requests. By simply providing a date & time of your viewing then your complaint can be investigated. In contrast to your comments, the staff member in question consistently achieves 5 star reviews. We're at a loss as to why you would review our service in such a negative fashion. Can I ask if you know our staff member in any other capacity - perhaps personally, socially or otherwise? You've made a very serious accusation which requires investigation. GoogleI just bought a house listed by trading place. People are nice. Lee did the best viewing. Fiona also referred us a good law firm. There were several rounds of negotiations during the course but they were generally helpful. Overall experience was satisfactory .

They made sure she was updated throughout the process. The biggest thing was that she wasn’t pressured to go ahead at the time of valuation.
