The staff at Graham Butt in Rustington were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for them. From viewings through to moving in, they were extremely helpful, patient and the communication was excellent. I really felt valued as a client. Caroline in particular went above and beyond for me, really going the extra mile. Any issues were dealt with quickly and effectively and she was proactive in chasing legal matters which helped enormously in achieving a very tight deadline for completion. Paula who took me on several viewings was incredibly patient and friendly.

Graham Butt Rustington have been amazing! From the start of selling our property with them to then also buying with Graham Butt, they couldn’t have been more help. We had the pleasure of dealing with Cameron and Ellie who were both professional, kind and understanding, they both made our experience of moving much easier. We were kept up to date regularly with what was happening within our chain and what stages we were at; they were also very helpful with liaising with the other buyers/sellers as well as the solicitors. Graham Butt were great from the very beginning. We explained that we needed a vacant property or one that could move quickly, gave our budget and was immediately offered a few properties to go and see in a very short space of time. They were very accommodating to the fact that we was travelling from London and continued to send through other properties of interest. Ellie in the Rustington branch was fantastic! Friendly, communicative, helpful, informative and eased a lot of stress! Shes an asset to the company! Very impressed and very professional.

Nothing but issues from the start. When we first moved in to the property supplied by Graham Butt, we were happy. A week later the neighbours tell us they are doing a full house renovation and extension. This raised red flags straight away, their builders kept putting things on our property and when the loft conversion was done we lost all natural light on the entire right side of the property. Graham Butt never told us this was happening or was planned. When we ask them about it and was the landlord aware they denied all knowledge when it’s a legal requirement for them to know and inform tenants. We had multiple other issues throughout our 2 year tenancy that they point blank either ignored or refused to help with. We thought things couldn’t get any worse with these guys but we were so wrong, check out process and post leaving discussions were shocking. We first advised Graham Butt we would not like to renew our tenancy 2 or 3 months ahead of our end date. No response. We then had the quarterly property check and the lady asked why everything was boxed up. Clearly unaware we were leaving. Informed her we would be leaving mid April as we found somewhere else. She was shocked by this and said she would raise it with the team when she returned to the office. We thought that was it done and sorted. We start moving our things to the new house and we get an email asking if we want to renew at X price. We explain the situation, and again no response. We then get a call asking if we want to renew a week later and when we say no, they say it’s a good thing as the landlord has died and they are working with the new one to get through probate! We agreed our move out date would be mid April. We moved everything out early April and spent a week cleaning, tidying and painting to make the house better than when we moved in. We even got professional cleaners in to make sure it was spotless. We get to the new home and find out they want to charge us for cleaning when it was spotless when we left. We agreed just because we couldn’t be bother with these guys anymore. 2 weeks later the council from rustington contact me and demand payment for the full month of April when we left on the 16th. Apparently Graham Butt refused to accept our move out date and told the council we still lived there till the end of the month! These guys will do anything to screw over their tenants.
