Four months down the line of my purchase, I found out information that should of been passed on to me by Cooper Adams at the very start, that would of changed my mind about putting in an offer. Advice to anyone who enters into a Reservation Agreement with this company, before you sign, ask them if there is anything you should be made aware of about the sale, ie if there are any circumstances that may hold up the sale. Sadly, I had to pull out of this sale due to constantly being strung along. Luckily, I am receiving a refund of my Reservation Agreement, but only after I dealt with Gazeal direct. If you’re looking to buy a property from a company who will be transparent with you from the start, then Cooper Adams isn’t for you!

I’m sorry your purchase did not work out and completely understand how disappointing this must have been.
I would however like to clarify an important point in your review. The seller’s circumstances changed significantly during the transaction. This was not something Cooper Adams was withholding from you at the outset.
As the situation developed, our team kept in regular contact with you and we have more than 100 recorded communications throughout the transaction.
Unfortunately, the seller’s personal circumstances eventually changed to the point where they were unable to proceed as originally intended. These were private circumstances and not something it would be appropriate for us to discuss publicly.
Your reservation payment was refunded as a result.
I appreciate that after investing four months in a purchase this was extremely frustrating. However, I do not believe it is fair to suggest that Cooper Adams deliberately withheld information or was not transparent with you.
Neither you, the seller nor our team wanted the transaction to end this way, and I am genuinely sorry that circumstances ultimately prevented the purchase from completing.

GoogleIf we could, we wouldn’t ever use a different agent!
It’s taken me a while to post this review, but here we go… In 2021, we asked Cooper Adam’s to help us sell our home. Their marketing was meticulous and incredibly high quality, with teaser videos on social media and a brilliant brochure. On the first day of viewings, they secured multiple offers and we accepted one for £40k OVER the asking price!
Peter, Scarlett and Sarah were the perfect dream team. They persevered throughout all the challenges, phoned me weekly (and sometimes daily, if not twice daily!) to provide updates. Absolutely the most patient, hardworking, friendly bunch of people I’ve ever had the joy of having on my “team” during the stressful process of moving house.
Honestly can’t recommend enough. If we hadn’t moved out of their area, we’d ask them to represent us for every single property sale in our future. I honestly doubt that we’ll be able to find an agent as good as Cooper Adam’s Rustington ever again.
Don’t bother with any other agent. “You pay for what you get” but these guys go and above and beyond what you actually pay for.

GoogleWarning... it's a long one...Sadly our experience selling with Cooper Adams was very disappointing. Once they have you in contract they are firmly on 'team buyer', with little consideration to the vendor, their client who pays them! Firstly they took a while to list our property, causing us to miss out on a property we really liked, as we were unable to offer until we were on the market. Then regarding the sale of our property, with three offers, we were told we should accept an offer that was considerably lower than another, based on them saying the buyers were ready to proceed and despite us not having a place we wanted to buy. We trusted them! Cooper Adams insisted we enter a six month contract with Gazeal and our buyer that 'protects' the sale. The agents then harassed us continuously, with two staff playing a tag team to see how we were doing. Feeling under pressure, we expanded our search area and viewed different property types to what we originally wanted. At one point, when we had viewed around 20 properties, we found one and put an offer it. The vendor of that property indicated a completion date that fell just inside our six month Gazeal contract window. Cooper Adams then told us our buyers were not happy and wanted to move before the end of June (2 months earlier than the Gazeal contract lasted). At this point we complained to them for the first time as this caused us so much distress in an already difficult situation. We received a verbal apology. that property then fell through.. Our search continued and so did the constant chasing. At no time in any of this process did they offer us a property to view. Finally after viewing 25 properties we found one which was vacant and sure to be a quick sale. You'd have thought everything would run smoothly from there on, but no, our buyers decided to start extra testing on our property at the point we had been originally told by Cooper Adams that they wanted to move in. This caused a further month delay on the process and more stress to us. Surely if Cooper Adams had been acting in the interests of anyone, they would have recommended any checks were done much earlier! We then could not get a confirmed exchange or completion date out of them to work towards either. It was a complete and utter shambles. Finally, we were given one day's notice of an exchange date and one week for completion. When we did get to completion day, we were still messed about by them, our buyer and their solicitor. A three piece property chain; Our buyer, us and the seller of the empty property, We were ready to leave our home before 11am. The buyer did not transfer funds to their solicitor until nearly noon and then we get call after call to see what is happening, while it's all in the hands of solicitors who had to do all the mortgages, transfers, paperwork etc, over lunchtime. The final call at 3pm, was that they were giving the buyers the keys there and then! Evicting us, without the chain being complete! The buyers didn't even move in until the next day! Thanks Cooper Adams. Sellers beware!

I am sorry your move felt so stressful. Selling and buying at the same time can be incredibly pressured, particularly when timings change and different parts of the chain are moving at different speeds.
I do want to explain a few points for anyone reading your review.
When your property was prepared for market, we took the time needed to make sure the photography, video, brochures, property information and legal requirements were properly completed. We understand you wanted to move quickly, but we never want to cut corners with a client’s home.
When you received three offers, the highest offer was from a buyer who was not in a position to proceed. We discussed the strengths and weaknesses of each offer with you and you chose the buyer who was ready to move forward. Our advice was based on trying to give you the strongest chance of actually completing, rather than simply choosing the highest figure.
The Reservation Agreement was intended to give both you and your buyer greater security. Your sale remained together and ultimately completed, although I appreciate that the pressure of finding your onward property made the commitment feel difficult at times.
Our regular contact was intended to keep your buyer updated and protect the sale, but I accept that the amount of contact felt like pressure to you. We should always be conscious of the difference between being proactive and making someone feel chased.
The later checks requested by your buyer were outside our control, as were the final exchange and completion dates, which are agreed between the parties and their solicitors.
I am also sorry that the final day felt chaotic. Completion days can move very quickly once solicitors confirm funds and release keys, but I understand that from your side it did not feel well managed.
Our intention throughout was to protect your sale and help you move. I am sorry that parts of the experience did not feel that way to you.
I genuinely hope you are now settled and happy in your new home.
