GoogleMost of the reviews here come from landlords, however as a renter I want to say that Susi and the team are indeed really nice and the same service provided to the landlords will provide to the renters as well. They are very professional and will try to assist with any issues you might encounter during your tenancy! I have rented with other agencies in the past, but unfortunately I could never say any good words about them. Highly recommend Austin's Residential!

GoogleWe was renting one bedroom flat for 5 years and I can say what the worst experience to deal with this letting agency. We had a leak from upstairs flat and nothing was done for two years absolutely nightmare. Contractors come to do the bathroom, working only 9am till 12pm it take 4 weeks ti finished the bathroom. Lots of damage was done to the floor in hallway and they want us to pay for it. Katie very unhelpful and rude. She doesn't do her job properly. Just please be careful maybe choose different letting agent.

Their fees are low and service levels high. I have no complaints and neither have my tenants. Susie has been my lettings manager and provided an excellent service and consistently provided timely responses to any query or problem that has occurred over the years. GoogleAvoid, unless you are willing to pay for the property to be 'professionally cleaned' at the end of your tenancy. There is a sneaky clause in the tenancy agreement that states that the property must be professionally cleaned upon check-out. Even though we cleaned the property to a high standard, we lost £225 of our deposit for 'professional cleaning'. We appealed to the TDS and received the following justification... "The tenancy agreement contains a special condition placing the tenants under an obligation to have the property professionally cleaned at the end of the tenancy and TDS consider such a clause to place an absolute obligation on the tenants, regardless of the cleanliness of the property." In other words, you need to show a receipt to confirm the property has been professionally cleaned otherwise you will loose your deposit. We have rented properties for over 10 years, and have never had a single penny taken from any of our deposits!

GoogleRented through Austin Residential for 3 years. Susi, Katie, Cheryl and the team are all particularly friendly & helpful, provide strong communication between landlords and tenants, and are very efficient in addressing tenant’s needs. They also have great connections with local labourers and contractors in order to quickly resolve maintenance issues. I would happily rent through them again if we moved back to the area.

My view - Use this team to rent out your property at your peril. They managed my property for several years while i was working abroad. When I took back the keys, the place was a tip, the damp proof had been compromised due to a long standing leak, a toilet that was so blocked the manhole cover was raised with ****, the garden was a jungle and the house was hopping with fleas from a pet cat that shouldnt have been there according to the tenancy agreement - and this is just some of the issues I had to deal with - and they secured no forwarding address for the tenant so I have no ability to recover any costs - the deposit didnt begin to cover it. Austins were unable to produce any evidence that they had done more than 1 inspection visit during the last 5 yr tenancy. I was so upset by the state of the place I had to sell the property instead on move back into it as had been my intention. Needless to say I didnt use Austin's for the sale - nor did they refund any of the fees they had been charging me for the 'management' of this property. Do youselves a favor - look for an alternative estate agents.
